This did not work well with 5lb. picture frames.

These Picture Frame Hooks are exceptional for heavy & medium frame pictures. I use two of them for the big frames and one for the medium.

We hung a whole house full of pictures, over 20 pictures. No damage to the walls when we moved. The hangers lasted over 4 years with no replacement.

I hung 2 small wooden scounces weighing about 5 lbs each. The backs are flat just as if they were a picture frame so I saw no difference in using these to hang them rather than a picture frame with glass in it. The first one popped off the wall about 2 months later for no reason and broke the luminara tapered candle I had in it. Today about 6 months later the 2nd one just popped off the wall while I was on the phone with my sister. These are terrible and should not be trusted to hang anything. When I complained the first time I was told it was because they were not picture frames. Really! Doesn't make sense to me if the back was flat and the weight was approx 2 - 3 lbs under....

Terrible product, hung 3 pictures in my kitchen with these. 1 lasted a year before the hanger came away from the wall and the picture fell to the floor damaging the skirting and destroying the picture and frame. Thought it was a one off until today when a further two months later a second picture crashed on to the kitchen work top. Fortunately the picture and frame are intact this time as the fall was broken by a wall socket. Edging around wall socket damaged though. Won’t be using these again or recommending them to anyone else. Product not fit for purpose even though I followed the fitting instructions to the letter.

the hook fall off after 1 day. My picture and frame is less than 4 pounds. The stabilizer strip not sticking to the painted wall at all. i follow the instruction and let the hook sit for 2 hours to let the bonds build up, but ultimately it still fall.

It was super easy to use and the instructions were easy to follow. I was able to get the frame hung in no time. I would definitely recommend this product due to how easy it was to use!

I was so excited about this product but after following all steps and hanging one of my favorite pictures, it held for only 36 hours. This product failing caused more harm to our walls, floor and the frame than using nails would cause.

I used this on my mantel to hang my garland for the holiday. It held up perfectly and came off cleanly.

Bought these for the 8 lb weight limit, got them home, opened them, then read the directions. These have a fatal design flaw. Installation involves stabilizer strips attached to the lower back to the frame that are installed by pushing the frame flush to the wall. The problem? That's impossible - no frame with wires or saw tooth hangar on the back can EVER fit flush to the wall - it will ALWAYS be out a bit further at the top and hang at a slight angle with only the bottom edge touching the wall. Which means the picture WILL fall off. I called the company and their response was "okay." The fine print also shows a size limit that should be prominently posted at the top.

I have used 3M Command strips for well over 10 years. I have sworn by them, and recommend them to everyone I know. We sold our house and moved to a rental 2 years ago. I used them for nearly EVERYTHING. Must have had 5 dozen various items hung, from calendars to shadowboxes to souvenirs. Out of all that, maybe put 6 actual holes in the wall. Ended our lease and bought a house. Now we COULD put holes in the wall, but why? We are going to sell eventually... Everything went back up with the replacement strips. By the dozen. And fell just as rapidly. I am SO DISGUSTED with 3M! Some of the packages we got were obviously bad, because the backing pulled off far too easily. I returned those packages and got "better" ones. We thought. Crash! Bang! Shatter! Don't tell me we hung them wrong, either. Hung the same as before. Anything over 7 lbs, we used TWO 5 lb sticky nails. Yes, on clean wall paint. My less-than-5 lb shadowbox? 2 5lb sticky nails. On one of them, the tab completely snapped off, so the weight was "too much" (?) for the other nail. Rehung it. Fell off again because the entire strip came clean off the wall. Yes, I waited over 24 hours to put weight on. My husband's 8lb retirement box? TWO 8 lb sticky nails. Crashed but fortunately fell on a couch. My husband made a bayonet display case, over 15 years ago. Weighs about 10 lbs. Used TWO 8lb sticky nails just like in the rental. SHATTERED when it fell. A 4 lb framed print, used two of the 4 lb plastic hooks. On the floor the next morning. My framed gift from my husband, put up properly as well, has fallen TWICE. The half-pound small strips can't even hold up a 1-ounce body sponge. Yes I used the water-rated strips. We are so disappointed right now. Your quality has gone down the toilet. Extremely disillusioned, I am feeling right now. And my husband is extremely angry, because so much has broken and now we have to put holes in the wall after all. :( Not well done of you, 3M!

Bought these yesterday and used them this morning and by this afternoon everything fell off the wall!

Perfect! Used 6lb and 8lb to hang paintings, etc in new house. One paint'g was 12 lbs, used (1) each side by side, worked perfectly. Amazing product, hides well whether wire or sawtooth hangers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I volunteer to evaluate products for 3M, and the company recently sent me a free sample of the Command Jumbo Universal Picture Hanger. This looked like a great product--an alternative to pounding nails into the wall to hang pictures. The package said it would hold up to an 8 lb picture sized at up to 18" x 24". My picture was considerably lighter and smaller, a 9" x 12" frame weighing about 3 pounds. I followed all the package instructions exactly, allowing more than the hour wait time between hanging the hook and hanging the picture on the hook. Everything seemed to be great, and I was quite enthusiastic about the product. Then about 20 minutes later I heard a crash. The picture and hook had come off the wall and were on the floor. I do not know what caused it to fail. Usually Command products are great and secure. With this experience, however, I cannot give the Command Jumbo Universal Picture Hanger a good rating.

I’ve used Command products since they first became available and have generally had a good experience, although not so much in recent years. The adhesive is faulty. I carefully checked the weight limits for this product (8 lbs.) and used it to hand a 4-lb. mirror. I applied the hook to a clean, dry wall, applied pressure, and waited well over an hour to hang a mirror. During my absence from the house a few hours later, the mirror came crashing down. Very disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Chose this product to hang a very large decorative metal plate on the wall. I couldn't use traditional hangers because there was no stud where I wanted to hang it. I followed the directions and it worked perfectly.

bought 2 of these for small mirror (about 5 pds) ---hung for about 3 days and then fell down---it was not the glue but the actual weld of the hook thing let go--lost an expensive mirror and what 7 years bad luck???????

Had a coat rack with 4 hooks to hang. Had 1 lightweight raincoat hanging on it and the fell of the wall and took paint down with it. Was really hoping it would hold considering it was under 8lbs.
