This is a bright compact LED lighting fixture. I like the design of the curved opaque white plastic lens. The metal body is white in color. It is very compact measuring 48-1/16 inches long by 2-1/8 inches wide by 3 inches tall in overall dimensions when I measured it with a tape measure. It has 15 one half inch trade size knock outs - 5 on each side, 3 on the bottom, and 1 on each end. I measured it with the light meter that I have and it measures 2300 lux compared to 1700 lux on a traditional two 40 watt lamp shop fluorescent fixture that I have. This was measured 2 feet away on both fixtures. So this new LED fixture is brighter that my old fluorescent shop light.

Quick, simple, lightweight, dim-able, and throws a lot of light. That neatly sums up this Commercial Electric 4-ft LED light fixture. I got it to use as yet-another-shoplight over yet-another-workbench in my basement (that's 5 now, and growing). My first impression was, "Wow, they make these a lot easier to install than they did years ago." Squeeze it at the pre-marked arrows to open the unit, undo the quick-disconnect fastener (see pictures), and it's trivial to mount the lightweight fitting using your choice of hanging chains, toggle-bolts, or even direct to a suitable electrical box. Check local codes, though, how you wire it (plug-in or direct-wired) needs to match how you fasten it (hanging or permanent).

I've installed a lot of work lights over the years. It is usually pretty simple, but recently I moved an older fluorescent fixture to a new location and had an unexpected problem; it was inconveniently located and I had to support the bulb assembly while I attached it with screws, very awkward, I needed another hand.
I bring this up because this fixture has an ingenious attachment system wherein the bulb assembly plugs into the housing AND attaches to it using a series of tabs. VERY easy. Just plug it in and push!
The light is brilliant and well diffused and all the electrical connections are snap in and clearly marked. They can be installed in combinations with more of the same as well, and can be wired to a dimmer.

This light was easy to wire for installation. I was able to drop a wire in a back knock-out and connect to the supplied push-in wire connectors. This fixture is deeper than i expected, but still light weight and easy to install. It has knockouts on each end, a few on the back, and even some on the sides. Included hanging chain kit with toggle bolts is handy.
I am very happy with the output of light - this small 4ft fixture is very bright. The light emitting cap pops off for easy access to the inside connections. There is a wiring harness in place that can allow for simple expansion of this to more units in a linear install - end to end. I would purchase more if i needed it - but this one is so bright I believe it will be just fine.
The casing is metal and the lens is plastic. Glare is minimal even considering the high output.
This fixture is brighter than a 2-lamp 4ft shop light. It is suitable for damp locations, so I will be using it in my shed and likely as a "drop light" when working on my cars. I have connected it to a power cord for easy transportation. The metal casing is sturdy enough to deal with being moved around from time to time.

I replaced my heavy two bulb fluorescent light with this lightweight, 3.7 pound, compact light. This light produces 5500 lumens of 4000K light, is dimmable while using only 50 watts of electricity. It is complete and ready to easily directly install to an electrical box or you can hang it from the ceiling with the included "S" hooks and chain and you can add extra units to this one for even more light. Wiring is easy with the plastic electrical connectors in the light. This integrated LED light has a rated life of 50,000 hours as compared to the rated life of fluorescent bulbs of 1000 hours. This is a great improvement and it was easy to install exactly where I wanted it. The light has a 5 year warranty.

The new LED shop lights are a vast improvement over my old high output fluorescent tube lights.
They start instantly even when it's cold in the shop. No more flicker or buzzing. The lights are brighter. The old 8' H.O. fixtures were rated at 240 watts, the new LEDs only 100 watts. Brighter light, less power consumption. Amazing technology.
