While this light fixture is intended as an area light and to be permanently mounted, I got it with another purpose in mind and it worked great. My intention was to use this as a shop use drop light, for extra light under the hood of a vehicle when doing maintenance and repairs, and it works very well for this. Being LED, it does not have the fragile nature of an incandescent or fluorescent drop light. And the four foot length puts a lot of light under the hood or underneath the vehicle. I attached a 3 wire grounded cord to the included pigtail, soldering the splices and insulating them with heat shrink tubing for a safe and secure connection.

This light strip is such an upgrade in technology compared to the old fluorescent fixture... it is amazing. The fixture is very light weight and much more slender than the old style fixtures. The wiring is super easy as well. While I only am using one, it would be very easy to attach additional lights to the ends. It is literally plug and play. The wiring also uses a new feature to me. No wire nuts or electrical tape needed. You simply stick the wires into hole on a wiring harness and they snap securely into place. The three different setting of brightness are a great feature as well. Very HAPPY with this.

This is a great fixture change the color from 3000 to 4000 or 5000K, great for all the blue? haters. Also this fixture will be great for all the electrical work limited knowledge people as you can hard wire or just plug it in, cord supplied that even has a switch on it. Also come with connectors so you can plug in another fixture or fixtures for longer runs like maybe kitchen under cabinet. I used in shop for an under counter light in an area that does not have power exactly where I would want it to get to a knockout on fixture so just plugged it in. See pictures for color changes. Caution don't get in a hurry putting lens on as it does snap on but is a tight fit & lens is pretty tough but not real easy to get together as is a snug fit

I really like the ability of this light to display three different color temperatures with the touch of a switch. The light output is sufficient for my purpose, which is to light an 8x10 shed. Installation required some knowledge of fixture installation, as the printed instructions are not comprehensive. I chose to direct wire the fixture and mount it directly to the junction box. It comes with a cord to plug it in if you wish to hang it from the ceiling, which would require a ceiling mounted outlet. If you go that route, you'd need to turn the light on/off with the cord mounted switch. I wanted to utilize the light switch on the wall, so direct wiring was necessary. To mount it to a junction box, a junction box cover with a 1/2" knock-out hole is required. Insert a 3/8" cable clamp into the light fixture knockout hole, then the cover knock-out hole. Run the wire through, then attach the cover/light combination to the junction box. Wiring is simple with the included push-in connectors.

This is a very versatile light fixture. The output temperature of the fixture can be adjusted from a slider switch on the side of the fixture. The temperature options are 3,000, 4,000 or 5,000 kelvin which gives you a choice of a warm light, a more daylight balanced or a cool light. This fixture will work as an under counter model or a ceiling mounted fixture. Mounting is quick and easy with all hardware supplied. This fixture is also linkable allowing two or more connected to each other. If it is used as a plug in model it comes with the plug included and plugs into one of the link ports at one of the ends. It also comes with one link plugs that will require wiring. All in all I like this fixture and would recommend it to others.

This is a Commercial Electric brand LED strip light in a 4 foot length, It comes with a white housing and white translucent lens and with a on/off switch in the cord and a switch for the 3 different light intensities on the light frame. The light can be direct wired or used with the included cord. The strip light can also be linked to another light of the same brand and model with an included connector and/or included cord. The light comes with a 5 year warranty and is said to be good for 50,000 hours of use,The 3 light intensities are: soft white 3000k, bright white 4000k, and daylight 5000k. The light is 1.6 wide 48" long and 2.3" high. This light is great for under cabinets or shelves and puts out a lot of light in all 3 intensities. The housing and lens are an attractive and clean white color and will fit in with most all decors. Priced at just under $35 in May 2019, this is a good value for a large LED strip light that has no replaceable bulb, is power efficient, and is equivalent to a 32 watt fluorescent light but has 3 distinct light intensities. I am impressed with the design and quality of this light and would recommend it.
