Commercial Electric 5E Jack is a great way to trim you low voltage wiring. I would recommend that you use the Commercial Electric wall plate because the other manufacturer's plates might not allow the plate to seat properly, and click. This jack is a bit pricey but about half the money as the CAT 6 Jack. You don't need to strip the wires, just punch in the wires with the included the punch tool included, and trim the excess wire, and put the dust cover on.

This Cat 5e punch down jack works pretty much like every other one I've used. The included plastic punch tool is a bonus in case you don't already have a metal one. I liked the easy to read wire color code stickers on the sides of the jack. As an aside, I always use "B" wiring, the included instructions imply that's only for commercial use. The third color code sticker on the top was hard to read. It comes with a gray snap-on wire cover. It's made in China.

The product works, but do not follow the directions. The directions tell you residential and commercial wiring. There is no such distinction. It works though when you wire it for 'B' it works well. If you read the instructions, that is commercial. Other than that, it does exactly what it is supposed to. And is easy. The tool included is okay. You can buy a better on that will also cut the wire at the same time.

Category 5e Jack - White by Commercial Electric Computer systems and installation is how I pay my mortgage. While I do not do any original wiring anymore, there are many jobs that I need to replace damaged Cat5 boxes and jacks-- especially in the fast food industry. CE jacks and boxes have always been in my Ethernet tool box. The CE Cat5e jack comes with the punchdown tool for the guy that needs to make a quick repair and does not have the more expensive tools.

This jack is just okay. I personally don't care for them, especially with how tight they hug my Fluke punchdown blade. There are much better options for the price, but if you're in a pinch, these will work. The positive side is these are UL Listed.

I ran two new Cat6 lines from router to another room. I couldn't get these jacks to work. I tried many times to reset the wire into these jacks. All efforts failed. I bought a cable tester, and not one of the eight wires showed a complete connection for both runs. A competitor's jack worked 1st time

This is an excellent Category 5E Jack. We have internet access from our home to several outbuildings and use a mixture of WiFi and Ethernet cable to distribute internet and data, with the cable used for long runs. This jack when mounted in a standard Category 5E wall plate makes for a simple and clean looking installation. The jack comes with a punch-down tool which is perfectly adequate, although I do use a professional tool that makes the job easier still. The jack indicates the locations of the correct wire, so there is no chance of a mistake.
