My wife picked this light fixture to go in our pantry. However, once she saw it, decided it wasn’t a good fit. So I installed it in my basement workshop. I had an old 4 foot, two bulb fluorescent fixture that continually had bulb issues and had an annoying hum. The installation of this one was very simple. All necessary hardware is included for standard installation to a round work box. I wired it to a switched line and only needed a metallic romex connector for running my line into the side knock out vs. the top. The fixture has three settings and I’ll explain them as warm light, white light, and middle of warm and white. So to explain it a little better, there are two sets of LEDs inside. One set is for warm light, one set is for white light, and when both sets are on, you get the middle light. The switch for the 3 settings is on the side of the fixture. This is dimmable, but I have it just on a single pole switch. When it arrived, it was packaged well but one of the trim pieces had come loose. I used some hot glue to hold it back in its place and did the opposite side as a precaution. This fixture seems flimsy at first, but once it’s mounted, it really doesn’t matter and holds firmly in place. The shade comes off pretty easily for dusting. This uses much less energy than the fluorescent fixture and gives off much more bright light. The brown decorative ends gives it a nice appearance. It works very well.

This LED light fixture's claim to fame is that it can be installed by one person and the color temperature of the light can be selected by a 3-positon slide switch located on the LED Panel driver electronics module, and I can confirm that both claims are true. The light comes in a sturdy box with good protective packaging components inside. What's in the package? (See the photo). You'll find a well written installation manual in both English and Spanish, a steel light panel mounting plate, a thin flat LED light panel, 2 support wires and hooks (pre-attached to the LED panel), a white color wooden frame, and all the hardware you'll need to complete the installation to a drywall ceiling. The LED panel is less than 1" thick and the wooden frame is only 1 3/4" thick, which makes an attractive low-profile installation since the LED panel is contained entirely within the wooden frame. The Nickel silver LED panel's dimensions are actually 12" x 48", and the frame is 15" x 50" overall. Before installing, check to assure that your junction box is securely mounted to a joist as the box should be capable of supporting the total weight of the installed light fixture. From here, installation steps are fairly quick and easy. Attach the steel mounting plate to the junction box, then drill pilot holes through the sheetrock at each of the four corners of the mounting plate. If you hit a joist or other wood as you drill through the sheetrock, use a provided wood screw and large flat washer to attach the plate corner (see the attached photo I took without sheetrock in place to show how it would appear on the other side of the sheetrock). If you hit "air" when you drill a pilot hole, then use one of the provided plastic drywall anchors and screws with a large flat-washer to attach the plate to the drywall ceiling. Next, hang the LED Panel onto the mounting plate using the two provided cables so that you can make the wiring connections while the LED panel is supported by the cables. Be sure to select your desired color temperature (warm white - 3000K, bright white - 4000K, or daylight - 5000K) before swinging the LED panel up into position and sliding the panel to secure it to the mounting plate, as you will not be able to access the slide switch after installation! I'm not sure how they actually change the color temperature - I assume there are actually 3 sets of LEDs in the panel and the driver powers just the selected set. In any event the light distribution is very uniform across the panel - no hot-spots or dark areas. Brightness is 4000 lumens, which is pretty bright. By the way, be sure to install the plastic push in fastener after sliding the panel into place in the mounting plate. This push-in "plug" keeps the panel in place so that it doesn't fall if the panel is accidentally forced out of the mounting plate hooks. Finally, attach the wooden frame to the LED panel by using the headless "assist" screw to support the frame on one end of the panel while you use a machine screw to attach the frame on the other end. Then remove the assist screw while supporting the frame with one hand and replace the assist screw with the other machine screw - and you're finished

Many quality components included make this easy to install and the light output is brilliant. I added this to the entrance area of my garage/shop, replacing a globe light. I gained much more light, and it is better dispersed while saving power. This is NOT suitable where fluorescent tube lights are wired with plugs outside the light: it must be installed over a ceiling light receptacle box. The kit includes higher quality drywall screw inserts that went in easily with a power drill, and a nice cable system to hold the fixture in place while completing the wiring. My first gripe is that with such nice fixture-hold cables, why not make the black & white power wires just six inches longer? As it is, I still had to push up on the fixture to finish the wiring and keep weight off the power wires (see photo 3). My second gripe is that the decorative frame comes with an “assist screw” to help with holding the frame at one end while inserting the permanent screw in the other end (52 inches away). But instead, I recommend using a nail - it slides right into the hole, and pegs the light nicely. The assist screw still requires you to find the threads and screw in a starter amount while balancing the frame if you are installing it by yourself (see photo 4). Everything else was a snap: it took about 45 minutes to install, including removal of the old globe light. I am very happy with the finished result- so much more light, and about half the power of my old fixture, with much brighter and widely dispersed light!

Not overly impressed with the fixture just yet. It's nice but seems a bit flimsy and the plastic cover is very thin. The light is very bulky and awkward but, I'm sure it will work out for the location, above the sink. It would probably be better suited for a garage or shed or workshop area. It's actually my fault for not understanding the best fit in the proper place. I have a snapshot of where it supposed to be but not there yet.

This light is bright and if it lasts for 10 years, I will be satisfied. Installation was a little tricky. I had to make slight modifications to the 4 tabs on the frame in order to slide on the light. It would have been better to be able to see the tabs as you install the light. You may also have to strip the wires some more. In any event, this gives off a nice, bright light which is brighter than my fluorescent lights. The light is also denser. The outside frame is bulky so I may remove it so the light has a smaller profile, as I have a low ceiling.

This commercial electric mesha flush mount integrated LED ceiling light is a great light for a work or storage area. The 4000 Lumens provide nice bright light. I am currently using in an area about 15 x 20 storage area and it provide plenty of light. The ceiling fixture is very easy to install especially if replacing another light. If installing on a sheetrock ceiling, there are built in wall anchors to assure the light is installed properly. The plastic difuser and decorative edges are made of plastic so it is very lightweight.

Commercial Electric Augusta 50 in. x 15 in. low profile flush mount LED Light in nickel, white frame 4000 lumens 3000K 4000K 5000K dimmable. This was very easy to install. Just need 110 -115v electric power to connect to. I have a two way switch. I left the brightness at factory setting. The brightness is perfect for my office area. Being LED I do not worry about bulbs.

LED Flat panel 4 foot by 1 foot light. This flush mount ceiling LED light I got to replace an old 4 foot fluorescent light I have had in a storage area in my garage. This light was very easy to install. There is a bracket that you attach to the ceiling. It would attach easily to a flat ceiling, and in my case, it attached easily to the rafters. The light fixture has two clips and cables that can suspend the light from the mounting bracket for easy (single person) wire connection. You then push the light onto the mounting bracket and slide/lock it in place. The decorative white trim attaches to the installed light with two bolts provided. Without the trim, the light is about 48x12 inches. Adding the (optional) trim adds width and length for the 50x15 measurements. All mounting hardware and wire nuts are provided for standard installation. The light can be switched from a yellowish warm white (3000K), to 4000K, to a cool (bluish) white 5000K. The color selection needs to be made before the light is attached to the mounting bracket, because the switch is not accessible once installed. I set mine at the 4000K position. The light is very bright, and I’m very happy with how easy it was to install, and very pleased with the light it puts out.

I moved into a home with a garage, but the garage only had a single light bulb and I needed a way to illuminate that entire space. This Commercial Electric 4-foot Mesha light was exactly what I was looking for! Since there was only a light bulb socket in the garage ceiling, I opted to buy a 3-prong appliance replacement cord so I can plug this light in. I used the included wire nuts to tie the wires together. The mounting hardware to mount to the ceiling was also included, making installation a breeze. As you can see from the pictures below, this light illuminates quite well! There is a selector switch on the housing where I can choose between warm, cool, and daylight. The low profile design eliminates the worry of hitting my head on the housing. Aesthetically, I like the black end caps contrasting with the rest of the white diffuser. The best part is that there are no bulbs to change and I can now SEE what projects I'm working on.

It took about 30 minutes to install and was very easy, with the exception of the wood frame. I would suggest that you put the wood frame on first. I could not get the supplied screws to lineup with the pre-drilled holes and was very difficult to get them aligned and inserted. Also note the switch to change between the color settings is located behind the light screen/lens, so you have to drop the light onto the supplied safety cables each time it's changed. Great light and the fame makes it look as though it's recessed into the ceiling.

The Commercial Electric 4 Ft X 1 Ft Augusta LED Decorative Ceiling Light arrived undamaged, being very well packaged. You can select between 3 color temperatures on this fixture to match existing lighting you may have in the space, or for your own personal preference. At 3000º K, the fixture consumed 41.6 watts, at 4,000º K 40.1 watts and at 5,000º K, the wattage was 41.5. All measurements were taken at 120VAC. The fixture claims to be 4,000 lumens and is dimmable. The unit has a 5 year limited warranty. The instructions are very clear, and the installation has a very nice safety feature – some cables with which the fixture is supported while you make the electrical connections. Also, you mount a plate to the ceiling first, then attach the heavier lighting portion, THEN the decorative trim. This is well thought out. Great drywall anchors were included, however, I’m not sure what the 2 tie wraps were for. The trim piece is real wood (not MDF) with a vinyl finish. Including removing the old light fixture and clean up, the installation took me a little under an hour. The fixture ‘hugs’ the ceiling, and the finished project looks very upscale. I am satisfied with the Commercial Electric 4 Ft X 1 Ft Augusta LED Decorative Ceiling Light.

I've only had the light for a couple of days but so far so good. Easy install. There's a distinct difference between the three settings. The drawback is that the settings are under the diffuser/cover. If you decide later that you want to change the settings, you'll have to remove at least one of the ends, then remove the diffuser/cover. Very bright light!

Professionally installed but the locking mechanism to keep it secured to the bracket didn’t hold. It came crashing to the floor. $150 for less than two months of use

Easy to install. More than adequate illumination as it replaced a four 40 watt bulb fluorescent light fixture. Dims very well.

A great light, really bright. And ALMOST easy to install. The assist chains to hold the light up while making the electrical connections were too long to allow the wires from the light to reach the existing wires in the ceiling box. Also, the holes in the decorative frame were drilled wrong and didn't align with the holes in the metal frame.

This is definitely an update from the flourescent light that has been in our kitchen since the house was built. I never realized the low amount of light that it put out. We hired an electrician to install it since it was right above our island that has a glass cooktop. We chose the bright white setting and boy is this thing bright, I mean BRIGHT, too bright for my liking so, I installed a dimmer switch to control that and I am now very happy with the purchase. It can be as bright as I need it and as low other times. I know I will love not having the change out lightbulbs. Now I want to replace the flourescent light above my kitchen sink 😀

I installed this light in a previously dimly lit walk-in closet (12' by 5'). It replaced a 2-bulb incandescent fixture. The difference is amazing! The light is very bright, but not overbearing. It lights up every corner of the closet nicely.

We like the lights but they do not dim well. three different dimmer switches used. We have three fixtures on one circuit and four on a separate circuit in an different room.
