The MS8332C Digital Autoranging Multimeter by Commercial Electric is a great multimeter for my DIY projects. I’ve already used the meter to measure battery voltage, check the voltage at a couple outlets, or measure resistance on a kitchen appliance. Its compact design makes transportation and storage easy. This model doesn’t require you to move the leads around to different ports on the meter depending on the measurement type. The test leads include two removable caps, exposing the leads for access to narrow test points like an outlet. The meter requires two AAA batteries, but they’re included in the package so you can get running immediately. Overall, this is a device I’m happy to add to my collection.

I like that the multimeter has brackets on the back to hold the probes. My old one didn’t. When you are testing a circuit you can leave one in the bracket and hold the other one in your hand. That way you don’t need three hands to hold two probes and the multimeter. The multimeter feels good in your hand because the plastic is soft and there are grips on the side.
It looks good and has nice colors. The text on the buttons is fairly clear. The LCD display can’t be hard to see in low light but there is a back light you can turn on. The manual seems to have good information and explains how to use it. I haven’t really used it much yet but from what I can tell it seems good.
The only thing that would really make it a lot better is if there was a little case to put it in. Then I could put it in my toolbox and it would be protected and the cords wouldn’t get tangled with other items.
I’m not sure whether this multimeter is good value because I’m not sure how much it will cost because it isn’t on the website yet.

Good Size and Versatile
I'm very happy with this meter, it's got all the options I need (and more) and it's nice and small and has 37.5" lead wires. I'm no expert in multi-meters but I was able to do some electrical trouble shooting on my car and my motorcycle checking everything from DC voltage to resistance and continuity.
I've had a few others and this one is by far my favorite (digital) meter.
The only thing that would be great is if they added a belt clip.

I am disappointed that the leads are permanently connected, and are not able to have alligator clips attached. They also have very short points, which are not able to have other connections attached to them. The multimeter it self is great!

This multimeter from Commercial Electric was the right choice for me. I purchased this mainly to check a car battery and this little guy hasn't let me down. The battery has lasted me 2 months and still going. The item is small enough to fit in your pants pocket but just be cautious as the ends got me when it was in my pocket when I took a sit and forgot it was in my pocket, ouch lol. The only thing I'd suggest for this item is that I wish it came with end caps to protect it from stabbing when putting in the pocket, other than that there are no other complaints and I'd recommend this item to anyone so I give it 4 stars. Thanks Home Depot! Keep up the great work and may God Bless you all.
