The outlet box is essentially not servicable. The outlet installs to the back of the enclosure, meaning if you ever have to replace it, this whole unit has to come out. This was in one of the reviews, but I figured that wouldn't be too hard. After the install, I knew that would become a major issue. Too many steps to undo. The wall where this is going, has foam insulation under the drywall. I had to cut this back to an angle for the outlet box to fit. The angle is needed because otherwise the box won't cover the needed width. (CUT THIS BACK AT THE WINGED CORNERS FIRST! ) the wings to secure the box to the drywall cannot handle the foam insulation board, never pulling the box tight. The first wing fell into the wall, and the screw to the next sheared. I then had to remove the top and bottom panels, find new hardware in my stash, and try and squeeze my fingers in to get a washer and nut on from the back. Phew it's on the wall, but next...The panel with conduit knockouts, have 2 size holes. I had to drill out the second one to fit both flex ducts in. The panel is so thin, the conduit connectors don't screw down all the way, the panel flexes, and i'm almost certain the 6 clips to hold the panel in (no screws here.) Will one day snap. Check the photo. Now that it's in, it looks decent and organized, but the panels don't quite line up. Hide it with the tv I guess. Was going to give it 2 stars but this review form only lets you see one little line to type in.

This is a very good option for creating a hidden in the wall (recessed) power and various connectivities flash TV wall installations; especially useful if need multiple connections to bring in. It provides plenty of space to bring in power, and other connections in one box, and even to hide a small device if needed (i.e. small cable box, Roku or such). It was relatively easy to install once planning was done. The only comments/issues/potential improvements:
1. If the hole in the wall is cust exactly per the included template, it will not be easy to fish in the box. I had to open it up a bit more in the direction of the electrical box.
2. Make sure to plan well to ensure there is plenty of space to the nearest stud as it will occupy almost all the space between studs.
3. All the electrical connections to the box must be made prior to the box installation as there will be no way to reach into it after.
4. I wish that there was an option already made for the flex conduit connection to the electrical box. I had to drill my own hole and get creative.
4. AC receptacle is not included, so, make sure to get one. The good news, you have the option of getting either a simple one or go "fancy" with surge protection (that is what I did).
5. Because no provisions were made for an RF (antenna, Cable) connection, I just used the provided plane cover plate and drilled holes needed and installed the RF connectors at the top.
Overall, I was happy the way it came out. Looks good and is practical.

Flimsy Plastic
Box is designed to use with flexible conduit however the thin plastic box flexes more than the attached conduit and the conduit mounting plate pops out of place because of poorly designed snaps. It only comes with one blank cover so if you want two, well forget it. Try squeezing this thing into the recommended cutout while attempting to use the provided connection points on both sides - can’t be done without access behind the wall. Don’t waste your money. Buy a metal type box to avoid all the aggravation.

This is a real nice piece. Lots of flexibility. It will 100% fit in a 2X4 stud wall. With 5/8" drywall it's a little bit of a challenge to get it. I cut my drywall to the minimum and then enlarged as necessary. The electrical box makes install a little tricky. I cut the back side of the drywall on the electrical box side at an angle to help it along. One big oops I did was to forget to install the decora style receptacle BEFORE setting the box in the wall. I am so used to putting in a box then receptacle and plate to follow. I ended up cutting the plastic bigger so a receptacle could be installed from the outside and then plated. Silly mistake for sure! No big deal though. I prefer to have the flexibility of access the receptacle without removing the entire box. I am using this as a network distribution point. smurf tube up to the attic and drag line to the basement below.

Just as advertised. Seems robust. Lot's of space. The AC outlet cannot be changed from within the box, so the box needs to be pulled out if you're replacing a surge suppressing outlet, for example. Fortunately, it's an old-work box so it won't be too bad.

Recessed box fit well into the wall behind TV to allow the close-to-wall mounting. Instructions were clear. Video on Home Depot website gave excellent overview of installation. Turn screw system for securing box in the hole worked very well.
Template for cutting wall did not allow quite enough opening for the box and the attached electric connection box to enter. Had to cut the opening slightly wider than the template.

It is functional. It has a cheap looking finish. It is hidden by the tv, so I guess it should not matter. But for how much it cost against what it is, it should have a more ascetic finish.

Needed a recessed outlet for a led mirror with a corded plug in the bathroom. This worked perfectly allowing the mirror to be as close to the wall as possible. Would work great with tv's as well.

Hardware somewhat cheap... Had one screw strip on me. Also, kind of strange how the receptacle is assembled before the device box is attached to the housing, but it's just a matter of reading the instructions. Overall, it's a very functional unit.

Not impressed
One of the mounting tabs easily broke off and the template to cut the hole in the drywall is wrong (a bit too small if you have the receptical box attached). The mounting tabs are oddly designed as well making it hard to mount blind.
