I far prefer this style of cable wall plate over what I currently have in my home. The ones I have are just a plastic plate with a hole in in. The hole is partially covered from the front but not from the side. The result is that hot attic air and mice and rats can get through the opening. This plate has a flexible opening that keeps out the hot attic air and is not as welcoming to attic pests. It doesn't mean they can't get through they are just less likely to as the opening closes around the wires. If you are cutting a fresh hole for the cables, it does come with a template to make sure you cut the hole the correct size. The outlet has two plastic mounting "wings" top and bottom. The assist in holding the plate into the wall. This is handy as pulling cable through can dislodge things if it was just attached with two drywall screws.
Pros: Easy Replacement, Easy to Use, Nice Design
