Easy and fast putting together. I bought two units.

It arrived in two different colors. I will need to paint in one color to be able to use it at all.

For the most part it's a decent and nice book shelf. Directions were pretty straight forward and assembly isn't difficult with two people. My main disappointment is the backing of the shelves being extremely flimsy feeling and. Might replace it with some basic plywood later but when covered with books it's not really noticeable.

For the price you’d think it would be real wood and not particle board.

Very solid looks great

Its difficult to find book shelves taller than 72 inches and these are a foot taller. They are very sturdy and easy to put together. The cherry color (on rubberwood plywood) is a bit purple toned but works well enough with some of my antique dark walnut pieces. I might choose the e resso uf i had it to fo over. The only fault is the backing which is paperboard but for this price you dont really expect 1/8 inch plywood. I bought the 6 foot wide and the 4 foot wide cases and its not an issue with the 4 foot, but the backing splits in the middle of the 6 foot to show some white but you can devise a way to disquise this..The shelves are beefy enough to support actual books wothout sagging and it is thoughfully and nicely made. Overall a nice big sturdy book case at a great orice if you dont want to take the time to build it yourself.

COMPARITIVELY SPEAKING THESE SHELVES WERE NOT AS DEEP AS EXPECTED. THE SHELVES I CURRENTLY HAVE ARE DEEPER AND ARE OF THE SAME QUALITY OAK WOOD. THAT WAS DISAPPOINTING. THE ASSEMBLING OF THE SHELVES WERE THE SAME AS THE ONES I PURCHASED AT COSTCO.

It is sturdy and heavy. Shelves appear to be thick enough, and with 2' width, that they will not sag. Finish is quality and far above the 'shelf in a box' look that put-together shelving usually are.

The bookcase was easy to assemble and looks nice.

The center fixed shelf needs a better way to secure it than just dowels.Why not use fasteners like are used for the top and bottom shelves to keep them tight and secure?

Lots of work but on par with other products like this. Good fits on everything, but putting the accordion back on takes some messing around. Final assembly looks great

Instructions were awful. Good quality, but the screws don’t hold the wood together tight enough. Wouldn’t buy again

The bookcases look beautiful. The details say that shelves can hold up to 50+ lbs a shelf - we will see if that is really true! I purchased 3 of these. I did have issues with the fact that at least 1 fixed shelf in each bookshelf did not quite "join" correctly to the side - it would keep popping back out. we are not sure if the pre-drilled holes were too big or if one of the long sides was actually slightly warped. we used wood glue and tied the sides together and that seemed to help so we hope now it will hold. The back (a very flimsy fold-out piece held together with tape!) was the most disappointing aspect. But once the shelves are in and books fill the shelves it does not look bad, but this weird almost card-board like back seems like it would not add anything to the structural integrity of the shelves. That said, unless the shelves don't hold up, I would purchase again and consider purchasing other Concepts of Wood products.

I already sent in the review. If you're sending me another request for this, the other one must've "disappeared". The title of the other one was "Made In China". That pretty much covers it. I paid extra for shipping because it was so heavy, and it was so heavy because it was basically particle board with a "photo finish". The directions were sparse, and none of the parts/panels were labeled. So as you were reading the instructions and it was saying "connect part "m" to part "o" for instance, There was no way of telling what part was "m" and which was "o". Of course, it said I could call for directions at an 800 number, but I had a feeling I would be connected with someone I couldn't understand, thereby compounding the confusion. I did get it put together, but because of lack of labels, it was hard to tell which way was top or bottom. Of course, then in making a decision, which would mean taking the whole thing apart, I chose wrong, and so the permanent shelf is upside down. I have bookcases that are actually genuine oak. No veneers, no particle board. No more. Pay a lot, get junk.

Nice solid bookcase. Reasonably easy to assemble. Missing a few pilot holes that needed to be drilled but overall I am very happy. Love the way you brace it to the wall!!!

The bookcase is big, beautiful, and relatively easy to assemble with some help. A minor omission from one of the pieces was fixed by replacing the entire piece. The company is good to work with

Love the bookcase! A few words, in addition to pictures, would have helped with assembly.
