Nice product

I have not yet installed the fan but on first inspection it appears that quality control in lacking since the fan blades do not spin freely. The blades were not adjusted out so they could spin freely and the locking nut is very difficult to reach with any type of wrench.

Little difficult to adjust the height of the baldest. Almost would not fit the opening of the fan that was removed.

Was replacing a fan that was put in many years ago. Had to make some adjustments but not big problem Controls switches were improved.

Product is good and works well.Installation instructions leave a lot to be desired.I doubt anyone from the company actually tried to follow the directions as if they knew nothing.The instructions had way to many “we assume the customer knows this” built into them.

Whole house fan was everything just as advertised. The install instructions were easy to follow. The tools required were normal household tools. Adding the auto timer switch with the Hi/Low speed switch was a good combination. The install went well and the fan louvers work great. would recommend the fan to all interested.

While the fan works OK, it is a much flimsier design than the one it replaced, hopefully it lasts. The first problem that we had was the fan blade was mounted backwards and located so close to the motor that it was hard to reach the setscrew that secured it. The setscrew has a square head so no standard tool would work. Tried to replace the setscrew with something more standard but it had an extra fine thread not available in hardware stores. Once the fan blade was mounted correctly, the setscrew was accessible using an open end wrench. The original fan used a variable speed control which mounted in a single electrical box, we had hoped to use the same wiring. This unit however has an On-Off switch and a High-Low switch which required a double wide electrical box and 14-3 wire instead of the original 14-2 wire. I guess I should have paid more attention to this detail before ordering.

The fan was easy to install and is relatively quite. The only complaints are it doesn't seem to move quite as many CFMs as advertised and the way the fan was packaged for shipping. The fan blades are shipped upside down on the hub and the set screw is tightened. It took more time to loosen the screw (because the blades were in the way and the square shape limited what tools could be used) than it did to install the fan in the attic!

It would not fit, and it was not what we expected. We returned it and contracted with an attic fan production company for exactly what we wanted.

This is similar in quietness and amount of air moved to others I have had. The biggest issue was that this is not a 30" fan... it is slightly over 31". The shroud and louvres are also larger, so I had to stack this one on top of the old one and it looks old because of the louvres.

Very very disappointed. I finally get around to putting the fan in today only to find out it won’t run. I plugged it up the motor gets hot but doesn’t run.

Great product.

It was quieter than expected. And a nice surprise was it came with two rocker switches, one for on off, and one for high and low settings. The reason I didn’t give it five stars is there was no sleeve to hold the wires for the wires going from the motor itself to the wall switches.

Fan performance is what I expected but thought framing should have been better than pine wood stapled together for the amount of money that I paid for the unit

Affordable, Simple, reliable. This is my second time purchasing this fan. If you live somewhere that cools off nicely at night, you can cool your whole house for a fraction of the price of an A/C unit. Oh, YES, these units CAN be fairly quiet, if the installer “floats” the unit.

Great instructions. Pretty easy to install. I think I would like a slower speed. "Low" is OK, kinda noisy and moves too much? air sometimes. a slower speed would be nice to leaveon while trying to sleep

I exchanged it for a 24 inch. I measured wrong.

Direct drive fans are quite noisy. Better to go with a ducted type - a much better design despite a higher price.
