I’ve ordered tropical plants from Home Depot before, and they’ve arrived in beautiful condition. That changed today. The palm is infested with centipedes. I was pulling them out with chopsticks and putting them in a water bottle, but finally decided after centipede number 10 that I wasn’t going back for the 11th. Or 12th. The pot has been bagged up and I’m waiting to hear back from Home Depot as to what I should do with it (hopefully set it on fire). I’m off to take a scalding hot shower.

I took care of the plant and it still died and killed my other plants. It arrived fine but unfortunately came with hidden spider mites that infested the palm. I tried spraying it with a pesticide but it was too late. Do not recommend.

Came relatively quick, very well packaged, full and no dead spots. One of the best plants I've bought so far. Definitely would buy from again.

Came in good condition but has started to develop black spots on the leaves. I looked up what that it and it's a fungus. Will get whatever i need to treat it but this shouldn't be happening when i have had the plant for less than a month.

I have been pleasantly overthe last few months with the high quality of plants Costa farms sells. They always arrived very carefully packaged, green and full. Simply beautiful. And they do very well after repotting.

Received plant a week or so ago and went to move it to a new pot, I found all these eggs of some sort. I will say the plant arrived in a box upright and looked pretty nice. However, I see others are like me now… spider mites (which I had to look up) and thought I’d just treat them, but now these gazillion eggs! I don’t know what to do… can I kill them, will it kill the plant, do I throw the plant away? So sad cuz it was pretty upon arrival.

I ordered this plant in March. After I ordered I became worried that since overnight temps were below freezing. I was just hoping that this palm would not be on death’s door when it arrived. I was so relieved when it came early and it was absolutely perfect. I have had it now for three weeks and it is doing great. I am attaching a photo I took when it arrived and it still looks as good. I love it. Can’t wait to move it to three season porch when temps permit. Highly recommend.

This is a very full and beautifully soft and weepy palm. Mine reaches roughly 4ft off the floor (including pot), and the fronds stretch out about 2ft at the widest. The pot with stand is very contemporary and neutral. The stand lifts the pot 6” off the ground. The outer decorative pot is simple white semi-gloss plastic and is 10”H x 10”W top, 9”W bottom. The palm is planted in a black nursery/liner pot that is 9”H x 8.5”W at top. True to its name, my crazy plant-loving cats want to nibble it often. Fortunately, this “cat” palm is non-toxic so is a wonderful plant for cat-lovers and plant-lovers alike! As usual, Costa farms packed this plant exceptionally well, and it arrived in great shape. It expanded a bit over a few days after removing it from the box. This is a lovely larger and cat-friendly plant that I would recommend to anyone.

I’ve got plants via mail from HD a few times now and so far it has been a great experience. I doubt I could have found better specimens going to the store and picking them out personally going through every one there (and it is an hours drive). And this palm is no exception. It arrived in perfect shape with zero blemishes and is very healthy. The pot is decent for a plastic one being thicker than some and I like the stand to hold it off the floor. The inner pot was wrapped so dirt did not get everywhere and was held in place. It’s a little soon here with cold weather yet to pass so I’ll wait a bit and probably put this in a tall pot out on the patio later. But even if I don’t it looks nice inside just as it is. I would not hesitate to buy a plant this way again seeing how well it has gone the times I’ve got plants via mail. I was hesitant to try this at first but I don’t hesitate now. The packaging was great and the shipper fortunately seems to have treated them well and respected the labeling telling to take care with the live plants. Tip for unpacking – open from the bottom and just lift the box off and it comes off easy. You can’t find plants this healthy around here locally yet so this gives us a jump on getting ready for spring.

The Costa Farms cat palm arrived well packaged. It is an attractive dense cluster of trunkless plants with soft, dark, green leaves. The plant looked well cared for and healthy. It is a perfect palm for decorating my home office. This palm gives a distinctive tropical image to the room. It makes you feel like you are in paradise which is the look I was going for. The plant makes the room feel like you are in a tropical island with beautiful dark green leaves. It is easy to care for because the plant is in a pot, and it comes with an outer container that you place the plant inside that prevents water from dripping onto the floor. The soft, dark, green textured leaves are full but allows light to come through giving it a whimsical appearance. The palm added a bold, tropical touch to my home office. The plant fills in the blank space in the room. It is an excellent addition to any room.

Was super pleased with this palm when I first received it, went to re-pot it the next day and discovered HUNDREDS of eggs! I wasn’t sure what they were at first but the squished when applying pressure. It went directly outside in the trash. So disappointed.

I finished opening the package with my plants, you don't know the joy you gave me !! they are beautiful, large, they arrived in good condition! I 100% recommend buying from costa farms.

I bought this plant from Home Depot and discovered that it had spider mites a short while later. I quarantined the cat palm and treated it for spider mites. About a month later, I noticed small beige caterpillar like insects in the soil. I threw it away. Good riddance!

Every plant I have gotten from Costa Farms has arrived on time and beautifully healthy. This palm is beautiful and I look forward to buying another one soon.

Giving this 4 stars as my plant arrived UPSIDE DOWN! The box was falling apart and there was soil everywhere... I wasn't expecting the plant to last but once I pulled it out the box it looked alright. I am concerned that the plant won't survive for much longer. I've had it for 1 day and I've watered it, put it into sunlight and some of the leaves are starting to droop and curl already. With that said, it is a beautiful plant and I do hope it survives. Great value for money if the box arrives the right way up.

I loved the plant. But after a while, I noticed it was infested with spider mites. I tried to hose them off and use pesticide but they kept coming back. I’ve just had to throw the palm. Very sad.

I agree with the other review. I was very excited for this plant but it had a black stem to begin with and I did everything it recommended hoping it would be successful and it just keeps turning black and dying.

Very disappointed. The plant was supposed to be grown in shade and needed medium light, however when you get it it says it needs high light. It also says its an 9.25 inch pot ... sure its 9.25 height but its 7.5 inches diameter which is normally meant by growing pot dimensions. The worst is though, it says it comes in size 36-42. Ours is 31 inches and thats measured from bottom of the pot which means 9.25 inches are just pot.....

Gorgeous plant. I am having a hard time finding a good spot for it in the house. I thought it was low light but seems to need alot of l Iight and water. Hope I can keep it alive!

Update. My palm is dying. Did everything suggested now it's on its last leg. I'm disappointed.

I was worries about ordering plants online but Costa Farms and Home Depot did a great job.

Beautiful healthy green palm fronds. Great packaging - palm was wrapped and bottom taped to prevent soil from spilling out, and boxed. 43” from bottom of pot to tallest frond.
