Infested with bugs!
Purchased this plant a couple of months ago from my local Home Depot and have noticed it is infested with bugs! I’m so disappointed! I just took it outside while I try and figure out what to do with it so they don’t spread inside my home.

You can treat the plant by giving it a nice shower to rinse of the loose pests. Once the shower is done, we recommend a product such as neem oil to treat the plant or a homemade insecticide mixture (1 quart of water with 1.5 teaspoons of Dawn liquid dish soap). Mist the leaves with the treatment and water the plant covering the entire soil surface with the same mixture. Depending on how severe an infection is, it could take more than 1 application. This is a beautiful accent to our room. The leaves have new chutes and it is very healthy. The picture does not do it justice when ordering and we never thought we could get a plant shipped to us in such good shape.
The plant stands about 44" tall plus the base of 9", total 53". The width, after setting out for a week is about 40" wide. It really stands out.

When this arrived, I was surprised it was so large and full. Wrapped well in brown paper to protect it, and keep the dirt in, it arrived in perfect condition. The fronds are large and beautiful. The color is vibrant and there are no brown or yellow areas on them. It comes in a plain black nursery pot full of a nice, rich potting soil, but you will need to put it into a larger, heavier pot if you have it outdoors like I do for the summer. Just don't put it anywhere in the direct sun. My porch is shaded all the time by a roof, but it has bright light which is perfect for these palms. I put it into a larger white nursery pot with some small rocks in it, because it was a little top heavy and blew over. Good, healthy plant with strong stems. I took the 3 photos with a yard stick for the front and back, so you can see how large and full this plant is from different angles. And a photo of the base of the plant to see how strong and healthy the stems are. It looks beautiful.

This is a splendid plant! It came well packaged and in excellent shape. I am so impressed at how tall it is. It arrived very healthy with some oily green leaves. These plants are excellent to upgrade any entrance. Those are low maintenance as well as they only require to be watered once a week. Overall, wonderful plant, you will not be disappointed.

This Mass Cane plant is beautiful! It arrived very full and healthy; very well packed. I love how the branches are so full. It takes up a corner very well and adds so much to a room. They sent a care sheet with it so that I know how to care for it, how much sun and water it needs, etc. I highly recommend this Mass Cane plant! We replanted it in a larger pot to decorate our screened in porch. It looks gorgeous there.

This is the second time I ordered 2 canes. Last year the first two were diseased, but Costa replaced them with healthy ones.
This time the first two were rubbery (see picture). Costa replaced them wirh four (?!?) diseased ones. Three were beyond saving, one of them I trimmed, watered and set up. It looks quite measely.
I cannot recommend Costa Farms. They do not appear to have any quality assurance to prevent the sale of diseased plants, and they do not temperature protect their plants adequately when they send them out.
