Portable, easy set up and works well, love the remote control. Using in my mini RV, set it up in the front seat out of the way when at RV parks.

Was a little confusing by the rotating button, but Costway explained it. Works well. Good deal for the price.

We use this unit for emergency purposes only for loss of power after a hurricane. This unit keeps the already cooled large living room quite comfortable. Move it to a bedroom or master bedroom and its really cool at night. Now I recommend three things with this unit. First buy aluminum tape and seal the hose that connects to the unit and seal the exhaust panel fitting to the tube. This is a must. Second the exhaust panel does not always seal to the window so you will need some foam boarding or heavy towels and the aluminum tape to seal the exhaust panel to the window. so hot exhaust air doesn’t leak into the room. Third let the AC unit sit upright for two hours after receiving it otherwise your compressor will not work. Do these steps and the unit works great. NOTE for smaller windows you made need to saw the window fitting to fit the window.

I had this ac for 2 years now works fine just use it for my room cools it very good just dont forget to dump out the water and clean the filters so it can work good

I purchased the 10,000 BTU unit because the height was short enough to fit in my pop up camper without laying the unit on its side. This way the unit could travel inside the camper. However, I had trouble getting the exhaust tube to stay connected to the unit. Since we would travel from place to place and we would have to disconnect the exhaust pipe from the unit, having consistent problems connecting the exhaust tube would be too cumbersome. Because of the problem with the exhaust tube, I did not turn the unit on so I cannot attest to how it cools.

It was very easy to assemble but it doesn’t function properly as a air conditioner

I installed the portable A/C in a bedroom (12x13 ft), which I thought was within its 10000 BTU range. Yet if you move out of the direct line of the cooling path, you can actually feel warm. I had a 30+ year old Shorp window A/C which I had hoped this Costway would replace. The Sharp kept the room quite comfortable and at times frigid. Maybe I expected too much from a portable over a window A/C.

What a waste, Room size 9x12 room temp was 84 after 3 hrs room temp was 80 while outside temp was 92 so waited another 3 hrs and it was still a warm 78 in the room, then the sun went down and the outside temp was 81 now after 12hrs the room was 75 so let it run over night, The next morning after 22hrs of wasted electricity it only cooled the room to 72 So I took it back and purchased a 7000 btu made by GE in just 2 hours the room was 67 and cold so just for curiosity I left it run on low for another 2 hrs and it was 65, cold and I only had the temp turned on at 65, when the lowest setting was 60. So the GE was a 100$ cheaper.

UNABLE TO GET THE EXHAUST HOSE TO STAY ON THE UNIT.I do not want to MOVE it.

It leaks and when the water is full the alarm is loud...

A little bit more noiser than window and cooling capabilities are less. Overall, okay because it is more convenient than a window mounted unit where it was used.

Exhaust became so hot it just over powered the cool air. After an hour temp had dropped 2°

I need some help my ac has a moldy smell when I turn it on and the tube seems te be letting out hot air. Please advise

I gave this item 5 stars because it arrived and I'm expecting it to function properly. I haven't used it because it was purchased to use after hurricanes and such, which we have not yet had this year. It does look very nice and it is quite hefty. I'm sure it will handle the job when it's needed.

At first, I was a little worried about installing it, and also that I saw a couple comments about the unit leaking. However, this unit is amazing! It cools me little room down so quick I have to jump under the covers. I've had it for at least a month now, and the water full light hasn't come on yet. No leaking. Also, the installation process was extremely easy. 5 stars!
