This is a the perfect crescent pipe wrench for the average homeowner, DIYer or even the professional. The 10 inch pipe is cast iron and has a great feel to it -- not too heavy and not too light either. Very durable. It has a narrow build to it, allowing it to fit any many places and the 10 inch length is just long enough to provide enough torque. Perfect for those under the sink jobs or working in the back yard with those pesky hose bibs. Highly recommend!

Perfect tool for the DIY plumber or the Pro. The 10” pipe wrench fits pretty much any household application and is the right length for that under the sink leverage. It is a good heavy duty quality and weight. It is easily adjustable to 1 1/2” and has great teeth for grip. What more can I say, I like the orange color it stands out in my tool bag. Highly recommend Crescent.

This is a great little pipe wrench for a good price. I own many different sizes of various pipe wrenches, mostly aluminum because of the weight difference. This one is obviously ductile iron but I prefer that because it is so small an aluminum one would likely not feel very heavy duty while using it. I actually typically carry this in my back pocket and hardly notice it is there. It's very useful in my line of work and I have no complaints whatsoever.

The Crescent 10-in. cast iron pipe wrench is well-built and well-balanced. The adjustment wheel rolls smoothly and the jaws are deep cut to provide a tremendous amount of grip. The handle length is sufficient to provide a good amount of torque, but makes the tool easy to handle. I am particularly impressed by the high-quality finish and the amount of consideration that's gone into the production of this tool. The bright orange finish distinguishes the tool as a genuine Crescent wrench, but make it very easy to find if lost in the bottom of a tool box or bag. I recently acquired the 14-in. version of the same tool and am impressed with both. Highly recommended!

If you are a homeowner that has ever spent time under a house using pipe wrenches you know how important it is to have the right sized tool to do the job. This Crescent 10" cast iron pipe wrench is perfect for working under the house in those tight spaces where every where you turn is an obstacle. I spent hours running new pipes under our house when we had to install our gas fireplace insert and when I wanted to run a gas line for our gas dryer and I would have loved to have had this handy little 10" pipe wrench. As it was I had borrowed a couple pipe wrenches off a neighbor that were severely oversized for working under the house but I used them since it was all I had. This Crescent 10" pipe wrench is made from cast iron so it isn't as light as an aluminum one but since it's only 10" long it's not too heavy. The slim jaws make getting into tight spaces even easier especially if there is a short nipple that you have to clamp onto. The rapid adjust jaws make adjusting the wrench super fast. The pipe wrench can be adjusted to fit up to a 1 1/2" pipe and that is plenty large enough for working around the house or even in the trades if working on smaller pipe. The teeth on this wrench are very sharp and grab onto the pipe with ease. You won't have any problems with the these teeth slipping when trying to tighten or loosen any piping you might work on. They also added stamped measurements on the side of the rapid adjust jaws teeth so you can pre set the opening on the jaws to the correct size prior to placing it on the pipe if you know the pipe size (would be nice if these were highlighted yellow or something though so they are easier to see). All in all this Crescent 10" pipe wrench is perfect. If you are a homeowner or in the trades this is a quality product that will last your lifetime and probably many more. Crescent tools has been around for a long time and this is a great product they have made.

I received my Crescent 10 in. cast iron pipe wrench. This little pipe wrench has some great features. The pitch on the threads are at a angle so the adjustment is a lot faster than my old pipe wrench. I like the slim jaw design. The teeth on the jaws are very shape so it bits into the pipe and will not slip. Crescent has been around for many years and there quality keeps getting better. I think anyone would be happy with this tool. One thing that the manufacturer could do is have the label for the tool attach differently. The label is sticky and was hard to remove. Even after it was removed sticky stuff was still all over the tool.

BUILT TO LAST AND GET THE JOB DONE! Crescent engineers the perfect wrench for any serious plumber or DIY'er. This wrench is tough to getting any plumbing job done that needs some serious piping done. I really enjoy that its made of cast iron but it doesn't feel like your lifting a 50lb dumbell. I like to keep this wrench handy at work because every now and then you get that stubborn pipe that needs that extra size in wrench just to get it to budge. To add, the teeth on these wrenches are solid and will grip any pipe perfectly without compromising the pipe or wrench. Its great engineering and fabrication. When you hold it you can feel the quality and time put into the fabrication of the wrench. In my book, this is a must have and you cant go wrong with it. KUDOS Crescent!

DURABLE! QUALITY! GOOD VALUE! Crescent comes forth with a good piece of equipment for plumbing and working pipes. This wrench is the perfect size for me to carry around in my tool bag. It doesn't weigh it down or take up much space. Being a maintenance tech with multiple buildings that is essential for me. I have to be ready for anything and everything at a moments notice. The 10 inch wrench has already been used and I have nothing but compliments about it. The teeth grip like a shark and its incredibly easy to adjust. I've already recommended this to my coworkers and I recommend it to everyone. 10 stars if I could give it a higher score!

I was trying to replace an old shower head arm in my house and I couldn't get it to budge. This pipe wrench saved me a call to a plumber to get it out. It feels really heavy and durable. The jaws are nice and sharp and had a good bite to them. The wrench adjusted really easily and provided the torque I needed for the job. Overall this is a great heavy pipe wrench to help you out with a lot of different plumbing jobs.

I really like my new CRESCENT 14 IN. CAST IRON PIPE WRENCH! It’s made by Crescent, a company that has been around for over 100 years building quality tools at a great price! This pipe wrench is indeed a lot faster than the old style, enabling you to open and close the jaws twice as fast as you normally would. Both top and bottom jaws have very coarse and very sharp K-9 Angle Access teeth to ensure a good grip, and to hold the pipe firmly, without slipping. This tool has a 25% larger bite surface, and exceeds the federal maximum torque load specifications by 160%, and federal maximum strength and durability specifications by 140%. This is a great buy for anyone needing a quality pipe wrench at a great price!!

I was in need of a pipe wrench (I've never owned one) and when I saw this model by Crescent, I couldn't pass it up. The quality of this wrench is spectacular, from the overall size, weight, and balance, to the high-quality finish. The jaws are easily adjustable and the adjustment wheel is smooth. What's not smooth are the deep grooves cut into the jaws. These afford maximum grip on very tightly-fit pipes. Also, the orange color of the tool not only distinguishes the tool as a genuine Crescent wrench, but it makes finding in in the bottom of a tool box or bag very easy. I don't think there is a tool of higher quality. I could not be more impressed with this wrench and I absolutely recommend it. Check out the other available sizes, as well.

Another quality product from crescent, you really can’t beat a wrench from Crescent. The wrench is very well constructed from solid cast iron. The handle is a single piece with the jaw bottom attached via a strong rivet. The top jaw is a single threaded piece with a solid rotational ring to move the jaws together or apart. The jaw teeth grab your pipe tightly and have great holding power. The adjustment of the jaws is very smooth and can be performed fairly quickly. Overall a very nice pipe wrench.

This 14 inch crescent cast iron wrench is made well and does the job with ease. It has an angle-access jaw design that gives you up to 30 degrees off straight on for gripping the pipe. It also has a 25% larger bite surface and a two times faster adjustment speed. It’s high strength gives you the force you need to get the job done quickly. It is designed in the USA however it’s not made here.

High quality pipe wrench! This baby is sturdy easily adjust with the screw sleeve and has measurement markings on one side of the jaws. Max open is about 2-3/4”. The jaws are nice and sharp to grab the pipe or nut. The 14” size is good for most home/residential uses. And the cosmetics are nice as well - nice orange powder coat handle makes it easy to find when laid down.

I have always had to borrow from my neighbors when i needed something and just lately we was working the water pipes in the house and i did not have a crescent pipe wrench and now I definitely have one and I will not have to borrows my neighbors pipe wrench anymore. The Crescent 10” cast iron pipe wrench is well made. Has some nice features that make it my go-to 10” wrench. It has slim jaws that make it easier to get onto fittings in tight spots. Also, it has rapid adjust jaws for faster adjustments. The jaws also grip better that my other pipe wrench, does not slip. It has a rated pipe size of 1 1/2”. The wrench is heavy duty so I expect to get a good lifetime use out of it. The finish on the handle is smooth, no casting burrs or imperfections. Definitely a high quality tool.

This is a high quality pipe wrench that every home handy man or serious professional needs in his tool assortment. You can't go wrong with a tool made by Crescent! They've been making tools for many years. i have a pipe wrench by them that's over 30 years old. I figured it was time to get another one. I really like this one's jaw set up. They are sharp and grab hold and don't let go until your finished with the job. The 14" size is prefect for any but the absolute toughest jobs. And if you need a bigger pipe wrench, Crescent makes one to fit the bill!

I have had pipe wrenches before, but they were large and clunky. This Crescent 14" pipe wrench will fit all of my current needs very well. It will handle from a 1/4 inch pipe up to a 2 inch pipe and fittings. The head adjusts open and closed very easily, and will will work very well up to a 30 degree angle on the pipe. The teeth on the wrench have sharp grooves, making the bite onto the pipe extra strong. I'm sure the edges of the teeth will wear smoother after a lot of use, but you have to watch out for the sharp edges when the wrench is new. The handle is a heavy iron and the wrench is 14 inches in total length. This wrench is small enough to get into tight spaces, yet long enough to provide leverage to adjust the pipe or fitting. This is a great little pipe wrench; much better than the ones I used to have. Crescent did a great job designing this.

I really like this small pipe wrench. It’s really made for tight spaces and has worked out great. The jaw opens really wide to about 2 inches and the teeth got some really good reliable bite that I haven’t had slip yet. The teeth grabbed real good even after some pipe dope and other stuff got into them. What I really like is how light weight it is. I own a steel one and the weight difference is night and day. The slim jaw is definitely a great feature because I can’t even recall how many times I wished some of my wrenches had the jaw a little thinner. The jaw is literally like 5/8 to 1/2 inch wide and I don’t feel it weaker in anyway. Definitely will be my go to for many different jobs. The grip is solid and when I got it at I see no rust or anything what so ever. Definitely a must have for plumbing because that slim jaw makes a lot of difference when tightening 2 joints together that don’t have much room. The adjustment is really smooth and it being light can be done one handed. It feels heavy duty and should last a long time.

Used today at work and this wrench is strong. Had some pipe to disassemble and we had to cut it out because we could not get a grip on it in its location. Then I clamped it in the vice and tried to remove the threads from the old pipe from the T fitting. First I clamped it and put the pipe wrench on and I put my whole wieght on it tring to break it lose. Could not do it, It just would not come lose at all. Then I turned it in the vice and tried again still could not break it lose. So I used some C chanel as a extension bar and then I was able to break it lose and remove the threads. The pipe wrench jaws had no problem gripping the threads or the pipe. IF you look closely you can see the jaws had just about 1/4 of the jaws catching the pipe threads and it did not slip at all. This wrench has some wieght to it and its very solid. I would match this with the top pipe wrenchs on the market today. Its for sure a 5 star and I would give it a 6 if there was one. I really like the way the jaws grab and don't slip even at a angle. That really surprised me.

The Crescent 18" pipe wrench with k9 teeth is simply awesome. If needed the k9 tooth design will still bite onto a pipe at a 30degree angle when space gets tight. The tool is well balanced, making it easy to hold and turn the adjustment knob. The jaws are also 1 1/4 inches wide giving a wide surface area to grip the pipe. The only thing I don't like is the sticker residue left after taking the tag off. Maybe use a zip tie through hole on the end to hold the product tag. The tool grips pipes very good and has a nice balance and feel when using it wrench. I also love the adjustment knob, nice grippy texture but not sharp on the hands and adjusts the opening quickly.

this product is great for the average plumber or even the home DIY plumber and it will accommodate most of the plumbing needs one will find I would accompany this item with a smaller size to get into tight spaces while working on your plumbing needs. This item has a lot of features that one would not expect out of a tool such as this but it will surprise you in the end and best of all lifetime warraty.

The pipe wrench is beefy! This is a high quality, cast iron pipe wrench that is built to last for sure. The jaws open up enough to fit around a 2.5 inch diameter easily. The adjustment thread rings move smoothly allowing for rapid adjustment up and down! The teeth have a nice grip and large surface area to them that will allow them to grip optimally when cranking on the handle. The handle is large and heavy allowing for you to put some body weight behind it if necessary. What else can I say, this is simply a high quality pipe wrench that is built to last and appears to be indestructible! I am looking forward to years of use!

Heavy duty and well-constructed wrench. Provides extra leverage when either holding a pipe during tightening or actually tightening or can also be used to loosen a pipe joint when necessary. Precautions need to be applied when using in that the jaws of the wrench can be sharp and will dig into the surface of the pipe of piping component. May be used to hold a joint on PVC but always use a heavy piece of rubber between the PVC joint and the jaws to prevent damage to the PVC.

The Crescent 18 inch cast iron pipe wrench is heavy duty. It is weighty and solid. The handle is sized well allowing for a comfortable grip. The adjustment nut is sufficiently loose to allow for easy movement, but not so loose as to compromise the tool. I like the markings inside the jaw to give you a clue as to the diameter so you have a starting place before final adjustments on the actual pipe. The jaws are designed with grip capabilities to grab even at an angle if your work space does not allow for a perpendicular address of your target. The jaws can accept a full 3 and 1/2 inch pipe with the adjustment nut fully extended.

The jaws open to over 2 1/2 inches (2.875) and the jaw teeth are machined accurately. The angle access jaw design allows you to grip a pipe at up to a 30 degree angle for ease in turning pipe in tight spaces. The 2 start adjustment thread ring means quick adjustment for various pipe sizes. The jaws have a cast ruler for even quicker adjustment (see photo). This is our go to pipe wrench on our ranch for maintaining and repairing several irrigation wells and water pipes. The machined jaw bite surface is larger that other pipe wrenches making jobs easier. This is not the second best pipe wrench available. I've bought many over my 40 + years of doing pipe work and have always used another brand. And typically the brand of tool often thought to be original is also considered the best. But as is most often the case, someone comes along and makes a better one. This is that type of situation. This 18 inch Crescent pipe wrench has a grip that can't be beat. Even at a 30 degree angle in tight spots, you can still achieve a slip proof bite because the jaws have a ribbed edge that maintains grip even when the wrench needs to be held at an angle. It is the easiest wrench to adjust I've ever used as it is easily adjusts with a flick of your thumb. The beauty of this is it maintains that setting unlike other brands that may lose the setting when used on a number of joints and winds up slipping that can lead to sore knuckles. The design that allows it to work on sharp angles is a patented design and it really works giving this wrench a huge advantage over others and allowing you to work faster since you don't need to keep changing the setting. The jaws are wider too, which gives more biting surface. The thumb screw is easy reach and adjusts with a flick of the thump so you can keep working. It's the easiest adjusting wrench I've used yet holds the setting. And since it's made of cast iron, has the strength to work on even the tightest screw joints. And of course there's always that time when we all do that thing we're not supposed to. Put a pipe on the end for extra leverage. I did that and this wrench never whimpered or slipped. Just don't tell Crescent I did that. Today the water. Next week will be gas pipe.
