I recently received the CRESCENT 18 IN. CAST IRON PIPE WRENCH. Every sping and fall I put up or take down my water pump from my back yard. I have to remove so it does not freeze. My old pipe wrench has been worn out for a while and I keep threatening to replace it and I finally did. This wrench is perfect for the job. Well made with very good gripping teeth, can't wait to use it this fall. I would highly recommend this pipe wrench.

This is a solidly build pipe wrench. The jaw adjusts smoothly. The teeth do a good job of grabbing the pipe. One interesting feature feature of this pipe wrench is that it is designed to let you use it at an angle. On the center of the jaws, on each side, there is a cutout and the teeth are shorter. This lets you have the wrench tipped about 30 degrees and still have it grab the pipe. It doesn't grab as well as when you use it normally, but it does grab better then trying the same thing with a standard pipe wrench. The ability to angle the wrench isn't a big deal most of the time. But when it is the only way you can grab the pipe, it sure comes in handy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The wrench is built well, however if you need any kind of leverage it is too short and it is also too big for right spaces at the same time. A longer handle would be needed for leverage of any kind. It is built well however.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Never saw a wrench like this one before, the slim jaw is very handy to have around. It’s almost the same width as channel locks and can fit almost anywhere that channel locks can. I’ve showed it around the shop and everyone is impressed with this wrench I’ve been grabbing this more than my previous pipe wrenches would highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do slot of smaller plumbing repairs and this is great for getting into tighter areas and has a great grip on plumbing connections. I had a toilet that had a galvanized pipe attaching the bowl and tank and it was leaking. I was able to remove one of the connections and replace seal.

Very solid and the larger gearing opens and closes the jaws at about double the speed of any other pipe wrench I have. Getting older and with the hands starting to become arthritic, this makes a HUGE difference by the end of the day. The teeth grip and don't slip around like many others I have had. Best wrench I own for sure!

I have to say I’m always happy with the quality of machining, design and materials. Works great on any pipe and angle and even after a beating the paint held up, only issue is now I have to buy the other sizes to complete my set which is notba problem at all

This pipe wrench was a great get. It grips much better than any pipe wrench I have had in the past and does not slip off off nipples. Easy use and adjustment, I would recommend to anyone searching for a new or first time pipe wrench.
