My 13 year old CC ZT42 was starting to have a lot of issues so I got a new one. I've only used it 3 times but so far everything seems good. I like the newer features. #1 is not having a to pull a separate lever for the brake is awesome. Changing filters and oil should be simpler. easy access to the pulley system is great. The foot pedal lift of the deck is nice. Easy release of the wheel transmissions is helpful. The seat is pretty comfortable. Lights are a nice touch but don't know is I will need them. The look is nice. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is that even though the adjustments of lap bar is quick and easy, when moving at speed, the 2 don't stay lined up. Same problem with my old one. The other issue was with HD. The store had them in stock but after weeks of waiting for them to set one up, I ordered it online. The shipping was free but it took 2 weeks and the deliverer only had a small pallet lift and almost dropped it off the truck. The crate was left on the smaller pallet which made un-crating it more difficult than necessary. Completing the setup was simple though.

CubCadet Ultima ZT1 50
I have used this mower 6 times and it has been perfect. It cut my mowing time in half and makes my lawn look like it was cut by professional. I saw some video reviews on youtube that the 50 inch deck had vibration issues. My mower was built in Dec 2019 and had no deck issues at all. Those two reviewers must have had an early production run. The ZT1 50 makes mowing fun. I cant believe i am writing this but I can't wait for the grass to grow again. Buy this mower and you wont be disappointed.

Received about 4 weeks ago and could not be happier. My first zero turn mower and it is everything that I had hoped for. More that adequate power, easy to operate, comfortable and my lawn looks great. Have mowed my lawn 4 times now and look forward to mowing again.

First riding lawnmower, never have driven a zero turn until this one. It was easy to drive out of the chute with some practice. Taught my 12 year old son to drive it. Love the smooth response of the turns, very comfortable ride and great control. Love this mower, wish I had more yard to mow just to give me more time on it! Great mower, you'll be happy with this one!

Love this mower. First time ever driving a zero turn and it was so easy to get used to. Only issue I had was getting it to move after cranking up. Discovered that pins in back we used to get trailer prevented it from moving. Would recommend this to any first time driver or experienced mower.

REALLY GLAD I PURCHASED THIS MOWER!!!
I have cut with a Toro Titan 48" for approx. 9 years, also a Scag Patriot 52" at our church for approx. 1 yr. I would rate the Cub Cadet Ultima ZT1 far above the Toro, and just under the Scag simply because the Scag is a commercial mower with a commercial engine. For a residential mower, that's saying a lot(Scag SPZ52-22FX has a 22HP Kawasaki FX691V vs the Cub Cadet ZT1 which has a 23HP Kawasaki FR691V). The Kawasaki engine is my choice of engines after having serious problems with the Kohler engine on the Toro (To be fair, it had over 900 hours on it.). This ZT1 has the cool look, the commercial ruggedness in the body design, fabricated deck, hour meter, LED lights, the best deck adjustment feature I've ever used, deck wash hose quick-connect, deck design which allows grass to be thrown out way farther than other mowers, and a towing attachment on the rear. The only concern I have is a slight deck vibration when PTO is engaged. Hopefully, it won't get any worse or they come up with a fix for free. Regardless, I still had to give this mower a 5-Star rating. I may get a chance to use it a little more if I can keep my wife off it ;-) . IMHO, Cub Cadet has hit a Home-run with this one. My hat's off to the Cub Cadet team!!!

      Great mower - unboxing challenge
Got free home delivery from Home Depot. 18 wheeler with a lift showed up at the house. That part worked great, and the mower was delivered a week earlier than originally predicted. Now the challenge. The driver had to put the pallet the mower was packaged in on top of another regular pallet so he could move it with his hand trucks. Once I got the mower put together, figuring out how to get it off the pallets was the challenge. Wife had to drive the mower while I picked up the front end. Love the mower, videos showing what needed to be done when it arrived were spot on. All and all happy with the experience just have a strong back or wood to pry the front end up.

We've had the mower for almost a year now and experienced zero problems. Bought it specifically for my wife to use. She did not want to turn a steering wheel that took lots of strength and strained her arms. The lap bar controls are perfect for her. She has no problem maneuvering around obstacles. We love this mower!

This is a lot of bang for the buck! Love the LED lights!!
Got it on sale. That's always a good way to start the process! I read all the wonderful reviews and many YouTube videos before making the jump. I had a Cub Cadet in the past and it lasted for ten years, and was still running great, so it only made sense to buy another one, especially seeing all the upgrades to this bad boy. First true Zero Turn I ever owned. It was very easy to lean. A few slow loops around the street and I was off to the races. I can easily see reducing my time on the mower by 33%, as this thing is really quick. The seat is super comfortable. I actually look forward to mowing the lawn now. I mow about 3/4 of an acre, andI'd say my 42" is about the perfect size for that. The one and only negative I'd say is that the tracking was not adjusted correctly, and it kept veering to one side with both arms pushed into the forward position. I called a local Cub Cadet service center, and they said that Home Depot does not adjust the tracking. He explained how to adjust it (There are two adjustment bolts that face you as you stand at the front of the mower and look right underneath the arms. It took me about 20 minutes of trial and error, but I eventually got it to go straight. I could be wrong, but I did not see anything about that in the owner's manual. Lots of cutting power. I keep the blades around 4". Minimal vibration when engaging the blades. Very simple cockpit. Looks sharp. A big thank you to the peeps @ the N Canton Ohio Home Depot store for making the purchase easy.

I've had several used Cub Cadet mowers including one RZT Zero Turn. This ZT1 is the first mower I've purchased new. I have mowed the lawn only once so far, but the mower did exceptionally well. It is very fast! I also added a mulch kit to it. The only uncertainty is that the transaxles would groan slightly when mowing, but I don't know if this is normal or not. The only down side to getting this brand-new mower is that it was rather dirty when I picked it up. The owner's manual had also been soaked with water. I also received an extra Toro owner's manual that was sopping wet (which I returned to the store). I'm a bit disappointed that after spending $3400, Home Depot didn't clean it up a little. First impressions are important. All-in-all, I am happy to own a brand-new Cub Cadet Zero Turn mower!

So let me start by saying this is my first zero turn and the first one that I have ever driven. All of my co-workers have the bad boy. Well I started reviewing a few since I bought a house with more yard. 1.4 acres. Well I was in a hurry to make the purchase and the initial look of the cub is sweet in my opinion. Reviews on the Kawasaki motor were pretty good also. It has a welded deck on this 50” and I read that was better than stamped steel. Also my co workers said get a welded deck. I don’t have any mowers to compare it to but this mower was very easy to get the feel for. It cuts great. Good speed even tho I didn’t go wide open to cut the grass the first cut. The seat is extremely comfortable. The motor was very quiet which is something that I wasn’t expecting. I would say it’s definitely worth the $3,100. I’m glad I went with this one and did not spend the nearly $6,000 for the bad boy.

I'd like to first let anyone reading this know, I had only ever used push mowers before and I am a 32 year old woman. with that being said, I am EXTREMELY happy with my cub cadet zero turn!!! it only took me one ride to become a pro at mowing my 4 acres. It takes me a tank and a half and I have a mixture of junk and good thick grass. I have dips in my pasture. My yard has slight inclines which my mower handles well. i also can mower all around my pond with ease, never worrying of tipping over. She cuts clean everytime, rides great; I could stay on her for hours....which I do. if you are in the market for a new mower, this is your mower. just be sure to purchase the Kawasaki motor and you wont be disappointed!!!! (Pirchased 4/11/2019)

We looked at all of the Zero Turn mowers in our area. We liked Cub Cadet looks and read the reviews. I really like the Kohler engine 22 horsepower and the larger tires was a big plus. Cub Cadet also has a mat where you put your feet. I have used Scag mower for the last 10 years at work. We have own it for 3 weeks. One great machine for the money.

The controls are very easy to use and the instruction manual is straightforward. The Kawasaki engine starts with a quick twist of the key. If you have not used zero radius turning mowers, especially if your yard has a slope, it takes some getting used to. If I could change on item on the product, it would be for more aggressive tread on the rear tires.

Dont let the fact that its sold in a big box store fool you..... this is by all standards a commercial mower , it just doesnt have all the bells and whistles of the $12,000 mowers (like hydraulic raising deck etc ) Its built like a tank and has more than enough power to cut, pull and climb. We have been having an absolute blast on mine ... cutting 3 acres of my Farm and pulling a small utility wagon full of kids, brush, logs and whatever else we can load in it ... my Fiance' and 4 kids have even learned to drive it ... very easy to drive. I highly recommend the ZT1 50 ! Cant be beat !

had a Craftsman ZT7500 zero turn, broke down and I needed a mower, compared several mowers, and liked what I saw in the Cadet, 1st time I used it , I was amazed at how easy it operated, turns great, very quiet compared to the other, doesn't tear up the lawn on a zero turn like the other, on the hill that I have to do, I always had to compensate for the drift of the mower, not the Cadet, never felt it wanting to slide down the hill. the seat is a dream, I just wish it had the elbow holders, sits lower (which might be why it holds well on the hill), so I feel like I flop in the seat, very minor thing. love the height select, and the cut is great, very quick, did the 1/2 acre in about 30 minutes less then before. great mower
