I have nothing to compare this to as this was my first time caulking anything! After googling how to do it, I removed the old caulk and cleaned it. Then I taped the area. After I applied the caulk, which came out very smoothly, I smoothed with my (gloved) finger and removed the tape. Not much caulk pulled away but I smoothed again anyway. I had paper towels at the ready but didn't need to use too many. The only thing I wish I had done was have a garbage ready for when I removed the tape. It looks great! I'm very happy with this product.

Worth every penny!
While this sealant seems expensive, over time it has been proven to be worth every cent.
We live in a manufactured home and there is some "give" in some areas of our floors. The fireplace hearth tile butts against Pergo flooring and the sealant in the joint between the hearth and the Pergo would crack in a very short period of time. We had tried a couple different "cheaper" products and finally just gave up and lived with the cracks. In 2019 we had the raised hearth replaced with porcelain tile to eliminate a tripping hazard. With the installation of the porcelain tile we did some research, and found this product and have never looked back.
We used this sealant in September 2019 and the attached picture is from today.
No cracks. Great seal. Looks great!

Good color match to the grout from the same manufacturer. Skins over very quickly compared to other silicone caulks I've used. If you make a mistake tooling it, and it's been longer than about 60 seconds, you have to scrape it all out and reapply.

The caulk I bought at the Arvada Home Depot was long past its expiration date. I did quiz the person who brought the item to curbside pickup when I saw that the lot number had 2014 in it, but the clerk didn't know. A call the next day to the manufacturer confirmed my suspicions. The Custom Building Products rep said 2014 was indeed the manufacture date and that the silicone caulk I bought was best-used within 18 months of that date. Otherwise, it doesn't set up right. Why was this 6 year old product even on the shelf? I had to return it and get another tube, which delayed my bathroom project. The Home Depot needs to get on top of quality control! I've had other issues with this store putting returned items back on the shelf without even looking at them, which is what I suspect happened here. I liked this caulk, though not its high price, and certainly not my experience at the Arvada store. I will be shopping elsewhere in the future.

so worth it
We had our deck tiled. The contactor could not stop it from leaking everytime it rained. It was unfortunate that after making sure that we pick tiles that have higher non-slip rating, they ended up using polyurethane coat on it to seal the cracks. It still leaked. A lot! They have not come back to fix it so my husbad did research and found this product. We meticulously taped every single grout line and applied the caulking, smoothed it out with a flat plastic spatula and peeled the tape right away and let it cure for 24 hours. We used a hose to get the deck “flooded” to check for leaks and OMG it was dry underneath! It was so worth the effort of taping and sealing. I just hope it is durable and lasts.

Good enough color match
Overall this product is a good match for the poly blend non-sanded grout in the color Delorean, a little darker but works for me. Consistency of the product is like peanut butter, so using tape and glass cleaner (amonia free) are key for the application of this product. Tape off all areas, apply caulk, and smooth out once before removing the tape. Remove the tape, spray with glass cleaner, then smooth out a second time. I waited five minutes then sprayed again with a glass cleaner, and smooth out any bumps or imperfections for the last time. Looks good.

As close to a perfect color considering one is basically concrete and the other is silicone caulk. easy to apply. A trick I use for a super neat joint is to line the joint to be filled with masking tape. Then apply the silicone caulk making sure you fill the joint then wipe joint smooth with disposable blue gloves the slowly remove the tape. a perfect joint!!!
