Good product, used it all the time

Bought this per manufacturer’s recommendation to go over Schluter DITRA-HEAT. This meets ANSI A118.1. Next day the tile came off when lightly picked by a finger. I’ve been in construction for over 15 years and know a thing or two about laying tile.

A lot more than what was needed

Keep in mind, this is just plain old cement. it's evident by it only costing 5 bucks. If your sticking membrane to a wall, you need to use schluters own product, as this will turn sandy like cement. I used it in combination with schluters own product and it worked fine, but I recommend mapei mortar since it's made specifically for installation of tile and membranes on walls. At 5 bucks a bag, you get what you pay for

Works very well but not great for small projects as it is not available in smaller bags

This $6 bag is easier to work than the $12 bag. However I recommend a bonding agent. as sometimes does not stick as well ti very flat slick surface like smooth concrete

Works well with what I had going on. I used it to bond hardibacker board to radiant flooring. Went well and had a great outcome just remember to mix this exactly as it says on the bag!

I use this on all of my new construction tile work. If using this product, I HIGHLY recommend using the latex additive, in addition to water, when mixing. There are some thin set mortars that have the additive already in it (just add water), but I prefer to add it myself. By adding myself, I can adjust the mix and workability of the mortar to suit my preferences with each specific job (whether on tile board, concrete slab, hot or cooler weather, etc.). Easy to use. After spreading on the floor, I also use it to spread on the back of each tile as I am laying to ensure total adhesion. I definitely recommend this product and continue to use on a frequent basis for my projects.

I only give it four stars because I like white better for lighter colored grout. There is more expensive thinset out there but this stuff sticks tile to floors and walls just fine. been using it for over 20 years now without a problem

The thin set did not stick to the tile 3 days later you could take your fingers and pull it off the thin set. Had to take up all the tile and start over with a different thin set. I would not recommend this product for anything.

This product is amazing. I have a back yard tiling project that am doing myself, and this tinder is so easy to use.

Those who are having issues with adhesion should be using both parts of this. Don't be cheap, or you'll get what you pay for. I use this product, with thinset mortar admix, I cut it with water as well, but not too much, and lay my tile. This product works very well with uneven natural slate as well as other materials. I lay directly to concrete or backer. Again, don't be cheap. You get what you pay for. So to those complaining about adhesion, it's cause they were cheap. Do it right the first time. I'm not saying this is the end all be all, but if you want a solid set, especially with uneven product, this is it. I do coat the back of the tile as well. Use a good notched trowel, be patient, you'll have a great finished product. Also, I use gray mortar with white grout, it doesn't make a big difference if your spaces are deep and you're not heaving excess mortar on floor.

I used this product to install a new porcelain floor in the bathroom. I did it myself with no experience except assisting my sister with her flooring once. The tiles adhered just fine using this thin-set mortar, which is recommended for various under-surfaces. Mines was concrete because I removed the linoleum. The new flooring is GREAT. I absolutely LOVE it.

The bags are getting smaller and the price is going up. What's wrong with that picture?

At my store this was the only non-modified thinset that they had. It's dark grey in color and was very cheap ;) It's the recommended type for adhering tile to a Ditra underlay, unless you're using their branded thinset which is 4x the price and not even sold at HD. I was happy to have found this for my bathroom floor tiling project when I ran out of the other stuff.

Its decent but get the premium plus white stuff. Worth the extra couple bucks for.something easier to use. This stuff does the job though
