I used this product a few years ago in the living room, kitchen and hallway. Maintenance? There is none. It holds up over time. It is tough. There is no sealing necessary and cleans up as easily as the tiles it accents. On the current project (two smaller bedrooms), I used the same tile and grout color as the previous project. The grout matches perfectly. As expected based on my past experience, it takes more application time to get the desired result. That said the outcome looks great. The initial application time definitely pays off. I will use this product on any future tile projects.

I recently did my shower. I used 18 x 18 tile with 1/16 grout lines. It is easy to use premixed straight out of the container. Lightly sanded so it worked on the small grout lines.Cleanup is a little more difficult than standard grout. The biggest problem is the smell. It has a very noticeable smell and it takes several weeks to go away. It has been about a month 1/2 the smell is slight but still there. The next project is the bathroom counter, I haven't decided if I will use it again.

Easy to work with
This was the first time I used this product and was very impressed. It has a different process compaired to self mixed grout but the results are very nice. I did float the entire shower floor before sponging and cleaning off the tiles. I had no problem getting the groute off the tops of the tile. We used this product to regroute exising tile in the bottom of our shower to give us a little time before we do our bathroom renno. We are very please with the application, clean up and final look.

"Hate" isnt too strong a word
As a DIYer who has tiled for years. I do not recommend this product. maybe Pros like it but for twice the money, it's twice the work, at least. It recommends you buy a grout release to put on your tile before using. It says to wipe immediately, do not ket the haze dry. it says use three sponges and a microfiber towel to wipe it.i had to use the three sponges and 3 kitchen towels inbetween, then 2 microfiber towels, which keant double the clean up. in doing so, the grout is uneven and I have had to come back the next day to fill in. Today, I tried to fill in as i went, which meant more vlean up. i bought the pewter but in my light grat tiles, it looks lite gray. so, twice the money, twice the work, at least. in the photo, it's uneven and half as dark as it should be. excuse the spelling errors, please, zi cannot see or edit this review on my phone.

      Needs improvement and quality control.
I really tried to like this grout....I am at what I consider at pro level with grout application. 20+ years...anyway down to the point. It seems as if they were trying to recreate the epoxy here without the fast mixing and set up. There is a lot of friction after a few minutes of application. Wiping with a sponge is somewhat difficult because the sponge needs to be drip less after wringing it out. It is imperative to only apply the grout to a small area at a time and this is stressed in the instructions. The longer it stays on the surface then more difficult it is to remove the excess with an almost dry sponge. I understand the concept of this because I have lots of experience with epoxy grout. The problem that arises is that you can hardly remove the excess grout without some kind of moisture in the sponge. If it gets any water at all it shrinks into the grout joint noticeably. When applying grout to the floor area it's not a problem but with the walls it becomes difficult to leave a professional finish. Another factor to consider is that the grout requires a 7 day wait period for water contact. The next problem I ran into was in the 3rd gallon bucket of grout I opened had some kind of greenish solid slimy stuff. You can see it in the pictures. The bucket was sealed when I opened it and still had the anti theft tag on the handle. I am not sure what this was but it doesn't look like a grout additive. Overall this grout seemed to go down hill from there. I noticed that after a couple days of drying the grout shrunk unevenly in a lot of the joints. I cannot understand why the customer thought it looked fine other than they just wanted their bathroom back in order. I know that regular grout has it's quirks with cracking and regular sealing but at this time I would not recommend this grout to anyone but a professional trained to use it. In regards to the foreign substance in the grout I attempted to contact the distributor with all my information and they made no effort to return my calls or emails. These photos are not altered in any way and were taken from the actual job.

I don't know what the negative reviews are about. This grout floated nicely with a plastic putty knife. Cleanup was easy. Just make sure you finish up with a damp microfiber cloth and you are good to go. I let it cure for a week and it looks great. The kids can use the shower again!

Love it because it drys so quickly! As long as you know that it’s great, use in small areas and then move on to another small area. This product drys very fast, fill crevices and wipe off excess right away or you will be doing a lot of scraping! My floor looks great!

I watched a video before applying the product. There's a link on the container or you can simply google it. One difference is that I used 2 wash buckets with 2 different sponges. One for the 1st wipe off and a cleaner bucket for the 2nd wipe off. Note that if you forget the wet the tiles before applying the grout, you'll find it more difficult to spread (takes more muscle). No mixing and pretty easy cleanup.

My wife and I worked together over several days to grout our 800+ s.f. rec room floor. The product is applied differently than typical grout but we followed the mfg directions and watched their videos also. We are thrilled with the end result. Could not be happier.

Don’t let the bad reviews scare you!
I was extremely hesitant to use this after reading all of the reviews but it was totally worth it! The process IS very important! I would spread it on a small area, wipe it with a damp tiling sponge, flip the sponge over and wipe it with the wet microfiber side, then wipe with a just slightly damp microfiber towel. For some areas, I went back over with the damp towel again. I only did it today so I cant speak to durability, but it ended up looking great. It did take me a while, 2.5 hours for about 20 square feet, but I am also 8 months pregnant and a perfectionist! LOL if I can do it, anyone can!

Working with this product is quite a bit different that regular grout. Forget what you know about working with the regular stuff and follow the directions closely. After my first wall of backsplash, I was about to toss it and go back to the traditional grout. However, I stuck it out and by the time I had competed the third wall, I was grasping the technique much better. Keeping the work confined to smaller areas is critical. Glad I didn't quit too soon. If your working with natural stone, make sure to seal it first. Although pricey compared to the old style, by the time you include the grout and the stain blocker additive to make traditional grout stain resistant, it is closer in price. Don't know about longevity yet or if it is truly stain resistant as claimed.

great easy to use great for small jobs my only concern was on glass tile especially small mosaic how it constantly puddles any moisture left on bottom of tile so in my case hanging a full 12 inch strip in a shower , u have to real dry scrub before it dries enough to fog up especially dark colors and white colors , really need lots of tak cloths after a big job besides that great fn product especially areas for beginners and lazy old man pros that have a small job it is one and done especially the white it holds its color and avoids soap scum like next level stuff! it dries fast so u cant let that stuff dry on any surface or its game over so never get to ahead of yourself and id say non stop clean water for final wipe down it will make sense when u use it it reminds me of caulk rather than grout

Had I known this grout would ve so easy to work with I would have purchased it for my floors (awful mess). I would highly recommend this product. I used the Platinum and it put off a bright white with nice blue tint. See pictures.

I found this product very difficult to use. I could not use my rubber float with any success at all. The texture of the product is fairly dry in the container. I finally finger tooled this sanded grout between the tiles. VERY time consuming. I bought this product after reading the label stating that it does not require sealing. I achieved the best results using Custom Building Products Premix SimpleGrout.

Very hard to get good results
I used the not ready-to-use grout many times and was able to get good results most of the time. This product has a lengthy and convoluted instructions but the results are far from acceptable.

My tile guy said it was nice not to have to mix and worry about color matching. He said it was harder to push the grout into the joints, but once in, it stayed better. Of course, we had talked about the need to wipe immediately, so he was aware of that and had no issues. It looks perfect to me. Platinum was the perfect color to add a little contrast to the white subways, but not to be overly bold. It also matches Sherwin Williams "Evening Shadow" color SW 7662 perfectly, if you like that sort of continuity.

First time grouting in my bathroom and this stuff makes everything look great. As others have mentioned, this stuff dries fast so you cant go too quick. I did the size of about 2-3 tiles (4x16) then wiped everything down. The only difference I did from others (sponging and microfiber towels) is to end everything with rubbing my hand over the area. This helped to get the very last bits of grit off the tiles and I also could feel if any hazy bits were there.

WARNING- THE FIRST 2 DATES ON TOP OF THE CAN ARE THE YEAR OF MANUFACTURER. DO NOT BUY IF OLDER THAN 1 YEAR OLD. I grabbed a bucket off the shelf and when I got it home there was a lot of pink fluid that had separated and was sitting on top. I stirred it, it seemed fine but was thick. It installed well but during the cure, the heavy pink color separated from the grout and would not come off- plus it was accented with microcracks in the grout all over the place. I called custom building products and they said that they recommend usage within 1 year of manufacture, the date code on the one I bought showed March of 2015. It was purchased in May of 2019 at the west Wichita store. Most of the grout had to be removed, and the new batch, which was made in 2019, showed no separation of the pink fluid before or after install.

We bought this from Home Depot upon the recommendation of the associate. We bought Tobacco It left a horrible haze on the tiles which we didn't know you had to get off right away! We did our hallway , dining room and kitchen area in November. We did it in phases as to give it the time needed to cure. The grout is now crumbling and we have no grout at all in some spot. I am really disgusted with this product and feel we really wasted our money buying it. It cost quite a bit more than other grout products!!

I have never installed a back splash and after applying the tiles, I then attempted to grout. I wanted a ready mixed grout because of consistency both in spread ability and in color. After studying products available, I selected Fusion Pro. I can now tell you that it did the job as intended and I am very pleased. As you can see by the photos, I haven't even put back the sockets as I completed this last night. Since it was a vertical section there was a lot of grout falling on the surface and that was expected. Placing cardboard on the counters really helped in the cleanup. The color was consistent and this morning I again am really pleased with the project. It costs more that bagged grout but to me its well worth it. No mixing, no dust, just open the container and begin. One last thing, the online instructions from Fusion Pro helped and I followed them totally.

                        Never grouted before
I read the negative reviews on this product and was ready to return it. I went to You Tube to see what other users had to say. The key to using this product is simply do small areas. Work for about 3-4 minutes at a time, then clean it with a sponge followed by a micro fiber towel. After the towel wash, that section is DONE. No haze to remove later. I grouted Harlow Picket tiles which have 6 sides and some bumpy stone tiles. I was concerned that the grout would build up in these tiles, so I used a grout release product before grouting. The sponge bath cleaned up all the tiles and none had a build up of grout. The backsplash came out very well. I recommend this product.

I love this product. This was my first time doing a backsplash. The guys at home depot recommended this product. I am glad I went with this product. It was easy to apply and clean off the excess, my 13 year old son helped. We put the backsplash up in 2 days last year, and it's still up. I think it looks professional especially after adding the Fusion Pro grout. I feel confident in our work after adding Fusion Pro grout, the project is secure and intact. Follow the directions, and the process will be very quick and easy. I absolutely love it!!!

I definitely would NOT recommend this grout for the average home DIYer! It sets up way too quickly and remaining glaze was extremely hard to remove. Fortunately 1 quart wasn't enough to complete the project, so I instead picked up a 17 Lb. box of the Prism Bone (sanded) and mixed up my own. Grout color was a perfect match and this product was MUCH easier to apply and remove the final glaze.
