THIS STUFF IS AMAZING. It completely changed the look of the bathroom in the condo we just bought. I still have over half a bottle for touch-ups--though, according to reviews, I won't need it. I've been recommending this to everyone I know. I applied it with the smallest two of these brushes (Unbranded Angled Artist Paint Brush Set (4-Piece)) and used a damp rag to wipe off the excess from the tile. I ended up doing 3 coats because the grout had been pretty dark. It took some effort to wipe my messy painting of the Grout Renew off the tile, and I was pretty lazy about wiping so I'd also wipe some off the grout when I tried to get it off the tile. Oh well. It looks so great now. I was undecided on which color and ended up just getting the only light color that my Home Depot had in stock because I was so eager to get this done! Looks so fresh now.

Easy to use but color in the bottle is much lighter
I used grout renew and loved the ease of use. I followed the recommendation of swapping out the cover with the Elmer's glue cover (easy since Elmer's glue was selling for $.50 due to back to school sales). Using the glue tip made application easy because I squirted a couple drops along the grout line and then painted in using a toothbrush. I avoided major clean up by taping off my grout lines. That part was tedious but worth it because there was no clean up involved at the end. My first attempt I used the color Bone. Bone appeared to match the grout color in the areas that were not stained by dirt. However Bone was way too light and I didn't like it at all. So my second attempt I used Haystack. Much better and the look I was going for. Too bad that the color example on the bottle is way off compared to the color in the bottle. I wasted a couple of hours with that mistake.

      Awesome product!
I’m going to save you a lot of time. This product is awesome! But...when you apply it to the thin white lines on your grout you WILL get it on the tiles. Put a coat on, let it dry for about 30 min (it doesn’t take long), then wipe your tile with a sponge with a little rubbing alcohol on it. The sealer comes off the tile but not the grout. Then revisit with the same steps.

We used the Cape Gray color. It looks great and was easy to apply. Some spots needed a second coat, especially places where the tiles were slightly uneven. I would recommend this product to anyone trying to cover up their unsightly formerly white, stained grout. It’s so much easier to paint your grout than replace it!

        Kitchen Looks New
I cleaned my tiles and grout using a steam cleaner. Let dry thoroughly. Used a small paper plate, quarter sized amount of product, a clorox wipe, and a dollar store kid sized toothbrush (with side bristles cut) to apply. I cut in near the woodwork with a cheapie kids craft paintbrush

          No more scrubbing!!!!
We used the color chateau. It looks great. So darn pleased to not have to be scrubbing grout! It takes forever and is labor intensive, but the payoff is worth it!

I can't believe I waited this long to buy this and refinish our tile floor grout! It's super simple and COMPLETELY transformed our floors! They look brand new and the house looks extra clean! Yay! Don't hesitate to take on this project, it's well worth $13.

            Patience is key
This product worked well for me it’s just long and tedious. Keep you a spray bottle with soap and water a few Terry cloth towels and your toothbrush and have at it!! Mine turned out great. I did four rooms. Took one bottle.

              Would not recommend
We recently installed white subway tile and after grouting, didn’t like the color of the grout. I got a bottle of this stuff in Charcoal. Bad idea. It now looks like I tried to color the grout with a sharpie. Charcoal is BLACK. And application is a long process trying to get it on the grout and off of the tile. It’s a hassle and now I have to tear out the grout to fix it.

                Exhausting
I read all the reviews first before purchasing and I thought, I can totally do that. Its easy to paint the grout, its the clean up i was having an issue with. I couldnt find my grove. Everytime i needed to clean the tile i somehow would take part of the grout with it. I got so frustrated that i painted it sloppy and then the cleaned up the tile, wrong idea. Its very hard to clean it once its dried. So it still looks good, i just didnt have the patients for it.

Went from Yuck to WOW for under $30!
We had such ugly tile and grout and needed a cheap and easy way to fix it. We came across this product and decided we didn't have much to lose, so gave it a try and WOWZA did it do the trick! I purchased 2 bottles (we have 3 large rooms to cover) and it goes a long way even after 2 coats. I was covering a dark dark gray or black grout with a much lighter color, so we did do 2 coats for better coverage. Here's a couple of tips: 1) Start small and find your rhythm. 2) Clean up as you go. After you get your small area painted and allow it to dry to touch, clean up the paint off the tile. If you tile is porous, you may want to tape. I did an area of roughly 5ft x 5ft at a time. 3) I used a sponge brush to apply and an old terry clothe dish towel for clean up of the tiles. Worked great and again - CHEAP. 4) If you are covering a dark grout with a lighter grout color, you may need 2 coats. Allow the first coat to dry before applying the 2nd coat, then do your clean up.

                    Stunning results
I was skeptical of course because my grout was so ugly and old. Upon reading reviews and comparing pictures I decided what the heck so I bought the bright white color. Imagine my surprise when the side by side comparison pictures reveal stunning new grout.

                      Brand new again
First, let me tell you that I did kaboom to clean the tile. Let sit for 3 mins and scrub away. Second, I did lime away on the grout let sit 15 mins and scrub. But, I wanted my tile to look brand new and it did exactly what I wanted. Love it but only time will tell on how long it stays white. I used snow white.

                        It’s a miracle!
Easy but tedious job to make my floors look brand new! I tried every tip track and hack available but nothing lightened my old grout. I used a pInt rush and wiped as I went. Easy, but tedious as I said. But totally worth it!

This an excellent product. The original grout color that we used when we installed the tile was driftwood (a greyish/mauve color). The driftwood color grout has not been available for quite some time. The grout renew colorant purchase (driftwood) did not match the original grout color and was darker than I wanted. So, I returned it and bought the product in another color (oyster grey). Even though it did not match the original grout color, it covered the grout completely in 2 applications. I have used this product to seal the grout throughout my home. It seals the grout better than the clear products that are also available. And, the color is truer. Highly recommend to everyone!

I am rating as such for many reasons: 1 - the toothbrush technique recommended did not work well. We did art paintbrush and tooth brush else you miss spots or make more than necessary mess and waste 2 - it does not stick very well. We have quite a few spots that washed away and even several repeat attempts failed. We have very little hope this is going to last. It was a LOT OF WORK with scrapping and wiping. We found a cloth was best to wipe the tiles. We also used the matching caulk and when we scrapped the excess off of that it pulled off the colorant... We have done 87 projects at home this year and this was the worst by a long mile...

I’m over the moonI found this product. It’s awesome. I used it in my kitchen backsplash . Kitchen looks new now. Also used it on my 20 year old bathroom tile. What a result . Tried many different grout cleaners in the past. Some pretty toxic. Nothing worked. For $13.00 and some elbow grease phenomenal results. Not even messy . Easy and clean. Used painters brush and are moved excess with a dry paper towel as I went. Worth every penny. 10 stars.

                              Turned black to antique white
The home we bought has off white tile with black grout in all the bathrooms. I hate it and was looking for a fix besides changing the tile or regrouting. This was perfect. Application was easy. Clean up was a little tedious but I realized on the second coat that a thinner layer was better and easier to clean up the edges. I love the results.

The color I ordered (Alabaster) was a little whiter than I was expecting. The color sample online looked like a light tan. When I began staining our grout, I almost abandoned the project and thought of ordering a darker color. Instead I continued, and by the time I had finished, I was thrilled at the result. It was a tedious process but well worth it.

Two months after building our home we realized white grout on the shower floor was a mistake. This product was so easy to use. It took a little muscle to get the finished product cleaned up but it wasn't bad at all. So happy we didn't pay someone to change out the grout!

                                    Oyster Gray Evens Grout Beautifully
I read a ton of these reviews when deciding whether i should attempt to even out my grout color with this product, and im glad i decided to do it. Unfortunately, i didnt read enough reviews when choosing my grout color in the first place or i couldve avoided the extra work of colored sealant. Anyway, my Oyster Gray grout was splotchy, dark brownish in some places and gray in others. I decided to seal it with this, and the one wall I’ve done so far looks great! Pros: easier to clean up than they imply, pretty easy to work with. Cons: i dont know why they recommend doing this with a toothbrush. You basically need a thin paintbrush (i took one from my daughter’s watercolor paint kit). Skip the grout sealer applicator tools also. Great reaults thus far. Took me about 2 hours to do this one short wall so I’ll be working in sections.

                                      Best bang for your buck
This is the simplest, most bang-for-your-buck house project I’ve ever done. It takes A WHILE to do all the floors in a house, but it’s absolutely worth it. My house’s floors looked like they hadn’t been touched except for a vacuum for 20 years. I tried everything to clean it, but it wasn’t happening. This was something so easy to do and inexpensive and now our floors look amazing. Highly recommend picking a color close enough to your current tile that it blends well, because some does get on the tile. Also highly recommend NOT using it on a shower with uneven grout lines..... we still haven’t been able to fix it, but not the product’s fault. It dries super fast, I didn’t feel a need to block off the area or anything (with 6 indoor animals).

Loved the final result! I recolored the grout in my 1930s tile fireplace surround. The original grout was a dark gray cement that made the fireplace tiles look dirty. I was fortunate to be able to tape off the grout lines since they were 1/4 inch wide straight lines in grid-type pattern. Taping was key to speeding up the process but it was still time consuming. I used an applicator bottle with a brush tip to apply the sealer. It took me about 5 hours start to finish but it was well worth it. I prepped before sealing by using a grout cleaner. Please note that any brush lines in the sealer level out as it dries.
