This stuff is great!
Probably spent too much on this bucket compared to buying a bag ans mixing my own, however the ease of it i think made it worth it. Spreads easily with a nice consistency, just loose enough it would fall off the trowel in a clump but not be dripping. Took ~5 lbs to cover our 6x8 accent wall, however some was wasted as we had to stop during the project, it dried to the wall and was scraped/chipped back off.

I have read other reviews on this particular type of motor for tiles specifically and it was interesting to see that other people did not think of it as highly as I did. This is all I’ve ever been using. And I have always thought if only the Egyptian’s have these kind of building materials, the pyramids made with been built differently After 3 to 4 days, this material dries as hard as stone. It would be extremely difficult, if not impossible to remove the tile from the wall. Basically, this is what you want. I will continue to use the premixed insect until I find something better. Which I am not counting on.

    Didn’t dry
What an unbelievable mess. Let tiles set 48 hours. Noticed after a few days, all tiles moving and sounded hollow. Tried Fix-A-Floor product. That was also garbage. So pulled up tiles after a month and surprised to find thinset was not fully cured and what was scraped off like dry drywall mud and nothing like cement or mortar. Just get the real stuff in a bag to avoid this fiasco.

This was my 14th bucket of pre-mixed mortar which I have purchased for my project and I was extremely disappointed because it had hard lumps about 3/4 inch all through the mix. This did not allow it to spread evenly and put a tile on it level.

      Will not dry
Applied this product to Master shower and went on vacation. It has yet to dry and some of the tiles even moved and became hollow. Well, redoing this again 🙄

        It doesn't dry
This stuff is crap. I let it sit for 3 days and it still hasn't set. I used a bag for half the floor and that area it solid. They need to take it off the market.

Easy to apply, the dry time was not long…for a first timer in tiling, awesome

          Cement Hardie-Backer and porcelain
We used this product on cement board screwed to wood sub-floor. When laying porcelain tile with the pre-mixed thin set mortar a few of the tiles didn’t stick. However, the mortar did adhere to the Hardie cement board just fine as noted when reapplying the loose tiles. Most importantly, you have the have a well ventilated room and give the mortar the suggested 72 hours and you should be fine.

As many of the other reviews say, it won't dry
After waiting 48 hours, instructions say 24-72 hours, I noticed that some of the tiles were very wobbly. Product as wet as the day of installation. Had to take them out. I got lucky that only about 5% of the floor was affected, and I'm thinking about re-doing these tiles with a real product. I used tiles that were 8.5 inches in diameter on concrete flooring. I noticed most people with problems use a plastic membrane.

              Don't buy product
Product does not dry after sitting for more than 7 days. I wasted more than $800 in material and now all had to be removed and thrown in the trash. Avoid the product, waste of time and money spend, it does not work.

                Doesn't dry
We used this under 12 x 24 inch floor tiles. A month later, we had to pull up the tiles because they were moving. The this thin set was as wet as the day it was installed. Terrible. Waste of time and money. We will avoid all premixed from now on.

The drying time is extremely too long. It takes a couple of weeks to dry installing floor porcelain tiles.

I'm upset that I didn't use this before!
I'll never use thinset that I have to mix again. Perhaps, if I were a contractor doing a huge installation and mixing 20 pound bags at a time for a crew, I would feel differently. This product went on way more easily than ready mix thinset and I didn't have to stop to mix more before it set-up. There was much less to clean when I was done. The second day of tiling, I didn't wet the tiles, as I do with thinset because it isn't needed. They setup much better and it saved me time.

                    Works well, but very pricey
I bought three buckets of the pre-mix for the convenience. I don't know if people with negative reviews are laying the tile on improper substrates, but 12 hrs later and it is walkable. In a day or so I will grout but it worked as expected on hardie board.

                      Just an expensive bucket
Do not buy this. I used it for my shower, and very much regret it. Under my 6" wide threshold it was still wet 19 months later! Had to re-do. I realize (too late) that they have to do this to keep it wet in the bucket. Only use non-pre-mix powder.

                          Never dried! Nightmare!
I bought this thinset for my 12x12 ceramic floor tiles, applied as instructed. On the second day I noticed the tiles would still flex and lifting them, I found the mortar was still wet. I placed a fan and dehumidifier on the hallway where the tiles were set. They were placed on wonderboard which sat on wood subfloor. After a full week, the premix did not set, was still as wet as the day I put it down! I had to strip it all off and go with normal mortar. This was a waste of two weekends and over 100 dollars! I'll be calling the manufacturer to try and get a refund. I'm never buying this junk again! Note that in the photo we used the grey premix mortar and the when that ran out we switched to the white. Both did not cure at all!

This mortar didn't seem to be mixed very smoothly. Took a lot of work keeping it from falling off of the trial but ot does look good in the end. I would still recommend. I'm new to DIY

                            Worked Great For Me
Im not sure what exactly all the complaints are about, I used 1.5 buckets of these 3 1/2 gallon premixed thin-set to build a 4x15 ft ledger stone wall in my den rennovation. It couldnt have been any easier and my wall is rock solid (no pun intended. I removed drywall and added cement backerboard, and the whole thing was a breeze. Only complaint is that it is pricey compared to the powder thin-set/mortar, but if you dont want to have to mess around with mixing and trying to get the proper consistency (especially someone who doesnt work in masonary,) then its worth the few extra bucks in my opinion.

Floors need to be completely redone
This never dries. We put it under 6x6 tile, waited weeks to grout, when we finally grouted, grout popped, so we pulled up a couple of tiles only to find that mortar was as wet as the day we put it down, except in the corners where air could get to it. There, it adhered to our subfloor and now the whole thing has to be replaced.

This is the worst thin set mortar I ever used.
I used to for small floor tiles in my bathroom and wall tiles. Installed the tiles following directions, let it set and checked them after a few days of drying. ALL THE MORTAR WAS STILL WET! I had to pull up all the tiles and redo it with a Mapei thin set which worked like a charm. I will be returning this garbage and contacting the manufacturer for a full refund.

Product is very easy to use and this size is perfect for small areas to be tiled. Read directions, watch some videos on installation and it will go very smoothly. Tip - not to put too much down as to making the thin set seep out between the tiles, as this is what grout is for. The thin set is to be like a peanut butter like glue thickness to set the tile.
