Customer Reviews for DANCO 2-3/4 in. Mesh Tub Strainer in Stainless Steel

This strainer works great at stopping the clogging items from proceeding thru the plumbing in our apartment. We've not had any issues with sinks backing up since using this Danco mesh strainer. And it holds up well while washing it out. I was concerned the mesh would buckle with handling but it's pretty sturdy.

Regular stopper missing. Needed something to catch hirs, etc. This did the trick just fine.

Does a good job of catching hair, just looks funny

Handy little Gadget. Use it in the shower less clogs. Doesn't hurt that they're stainless steel too!

It could be made out of a heavier mesh, because when the water is running it moves around.

I used this strainer in my bathroom sink. It fit perfectly. I have already noticed quite a bit of particles in the mesh. Great!

It floats out of the drain … not great

The top brim/rim was crooked. The whole thing was pooy made. It fits in the hole but i doubt It would stop things going down the pipe very well because the top rim was not flat si it wont fit nicely and tight. Other beands were made much niver, fit perfectly and worked very well catching eveything that could have gone down the pipe. I will be returning this one. Not a keeper.

Does the job stopping food particles from going down the drain.

Recommended by my plumber. Works great. It really does catch towel lint and hair that would stop up the drain. Easy to clean.

Does an okay job of collecting hair and debris, but is difficult to clean fully due to how fine the mesh is. While it does collect hair, it also collect dust particles and builds up easily, causing drainage issues if not constantly cleaned.

It was exactly what we were looking for in lieu of the traditional drain plug for the bathroom tub. Thank you for having it in stock in the Fort Lauderdale store.

Works great in one of my showers. The other has a Oakley cover. I cannot use the strainer with that one.
