I picked this up from my local Home Depot to put it around my bath tub. . I put it on and 2 days later showered and it was coming off. . Like does it need a week dry??

I've used other DAP caulk and I've not encountered this problem before. I used the Kwik seal to adhere and caulk in the side backsplash of the new vanity top and it looked great, until the supposedly waterproof caulk was introduced to water and completely disintegrated and started seeping out of the grooves. I'll need to remove and restart the entire caulking with a better silicone product.

I re-caulked my shower and waited 24hour for it to dry… it split in half. I thought maybe it was user error so tried again and waited over 24 hours for it to dry. Came off faster than the first time.

It worked terrific in my shower. We grouting. Easy to apply, good texture, easy cleanup, recommended by Painter/paint department.

When are you going to dry? What do you do if it melts all the time? I did applied this 1 week ago, and I had waited for 24 hours to dry, but it is melting so far.

Not sure how Dap is getting away with false advertising. This is not waterproof. After showering once the entire thing peeled off, although i left it to cure for 3 days. Useless for bathroom and shower. Use real silicone caulk instead. Looks like a class action lawsuit might be in order for lying to customers.

Used in shower and within 2 weeks cracks are forming. Not flexible enough for shower. Will redo with silicone caulk.

Used it to adhere railing caps and it worked good!

Used this product TWICE on shower stall. Did not adhere to sides. Eventually grew lots of mold and peeled away twice. Wished they had another brand or force company remove guarantee promise on back.

I let this cure for 7 days before using the shower, after two weeks, its running down the tub. It started to bubble and now just sliding off. I wish i could leave zero stars

This item is not suitable for bathtubs, despite what the description claims. I sealed my shower with it and after the first use it soften and almost literally dissolve, after it drys again it cracked.

Used in my shower to caulk where the tub meets the surround. Took great care to thoroughly remove all the old caulk, cleaned it all up and wiped everything down with rubbing alcohol, let completely dry. Applied and waited double the 24 hr cure time. One week later the caulk is cracked, coming out in strands, and is literally dissolving. Super unsatisfied with a product that's sold for baths and didn't last a week. The work to clean it all up and redo (with another product!) will have me cursing for hours.

I have used ths product for many years now and it never fails to disappoint. Easy to apply. Dries fast. Looks terrific! Will continue to use Kwik Seal by DAP for all my future projects.

Used this caulk in a bathroom refresh, replacing old yellowed caulk. This caulk was extremely easy to use; applied quickly and seamlessly, dried quickly. Did not require additional tools. Just used index finger to smooth where needed. Definitely recommend.

I used it behind my sink in the kitchen and would definitely use this for other places in my home such as the bathroom!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kwik Seal Kitchen & Bath Adhesive Caulk was very easy to use. I'm very limited in my diy home repairs and maintenance and was able to use without difficulty. I prefer this over using the kind with a caulk gun. It squeezes out easily and smoothly. They suggest you apply by beading it, then spread it to smooth out and get it good into the cracks. Then you just clean excess off. The excess cleans off nicely and washed right off my hands. It dried quickly and seems to seal well. I would highly recommend this product even to an amateur like me.

Not only is it waterproof and did a great job in sealing within my shower, but it did not overpower me with fumes when using it either. I used the white caulk for this job (and I believe it comes in other colors) which was very easy to apply despite this being the first time I had used this type of applicator. It bonded well, presents as very smooth looking, and I should imagine it is going to be easy to paint over now it is thoroughly dried. The manufacturers recommend at least two hours of drying time. Clean up was simple with soap and water, and was not at all time-consuming due to minimal mess. I look forward to it lasting a long time and protecting against mold and mildew. I definitely prefer this product to others I have used in the past due to the fact it is both fast and efficient, and I fully intend to buy it again in the future. I had previously heard of the brand but not tried it before. I am glad I have tried it now!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I know nothing about chaulking or sealing, so this was my first attempt at resealing around my bathroom sink. I have to admit at first I was thinking, what have I got myself into, but quickly I realized I was just over thinking. This Kwik Seal is one of the easiest, most effective, products I've ever used. First, I used painters tape on either side of the bead area to help prevent any unwanted chaulk mess. I just followed the instructions, cut the nozzle at a 45 degree angle, I aimed and squeezed the tube. Clean up is easy, just quickly wipe with a damp sponge. I let it dry for over the recommend 24 hours until it hardened. I removed the tape, and it looked really professional, and felt very solid. If you have left over caulk, just replace the cap, and store for future use. I'm very happy with my results, and will be buying more for any future projects.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been the standard for as long as I've been in the industry. They have kept this product consistent. The only problems that one usually has is lack of experience. If you prepare the surfaces(s) properly you will not have to replace for a long time. It's quick, easy to us and inexpensive. Yes there are easier and better products, but they are also made by Dap. For its price point its perfect. This product holds up well, I like that it is silliconized, the drawback is that it is very sticky. My husband complained about it being sticky but in the end it gets the job done and avoids call backs.

After applying it slowly around the base of the toilet I was able to run my finger over it afterwards to smooth it out and the texture makes it easy for that application. Easy clean up with just a damp rag. Easy application whether you're experienced or not. I'll be using this product to re caulk around bathtub and underneath backsplash in kitchen. It spruced and brightened up the older caulk and all look brand new. I would recommend this product, highly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent product! It doesn't require a caulk gun which is great. The product dispenses easily. I was able to get straight, even lines. I used this around my tub because I wanted to keep the area between the tiles and tub from getting water underneath and this does an excellent job at sealing and protecting that area. The caulk can be painted (when dried). I left the application on for 24 hours to make sure it was thoroughly dry. This also washes easily off hands and is virtually odor free. Great product to keep on hand for repairs or touch-ups.

If you get it somewhere you didn't mean to, it comes clean easily with a little warm water. I like that it doesn't have a strong smell. It seals very well. I will definitely buy it again in the future.
