Bought this product in April of 2021 only lasted till today July 16th. Motor will not start or to correctly say the impeller which is the same as found on Fish tanks air pumps. When the motor stopped working all you did what swap out the impeller. I still have the instruction and that part is not listed nor any of the others that included in the kits. Normally, the PV (solar panel) would the first thing to go due to the marring on substrate from the direct sunlight but this is not the case with this one. I cleaned the the impeller which is behind the casing that hold the filter. Nothing. The motors do not have moving parts is all driven by magnetism just like in the fishtank pumps.
Less than 4 months of use and well maintained poof nothing now. Can't find the replacement impeller from the manufactured which probably sell under different names.
I do not recommend this product for the fact that it only worked for less than 4 months and no support for parts.

I have a 24” bird bath and all nozzles are blown off of the basin by wind. The straws do not keep the unit centered in the basin.

It works very well but when the wind blows, water blows out of the birdbath. Keep on mind that it will diminish in size or quit when clouds pass overhead. It is very sensitive to light.

The Dartwood Solar Fountain is very convenient. We put the pieces together (which was a challenge) and dropped it in our pond--a large ceramic pot which is located a hundred feet from the nearest outlet. It sprays anytime the sun shines on it. The one drawback--the wind blows the spray out of the pot.

I've wanted a solar bird bath for some time; however, they're very expensive. This water fountain is an economical way to achieve the same thing. We're still adjusting the device. Overall I'm pleased and the birds seem to like it too, which was the point after all.

I really like this fountain has straws to keep it in the center of the birdbath so it doesn't empty the bath if it floats to the side.
Only real thing I dint like is it truly has to be in direct sunlight all the time to work properly. My birdbath is in shade in the afternoon and it does run to optimal performance. It runs in spurts when its in the shade. You will hear something like a moan and wonder what it is, its the pump trying to work.
Its truly solar operated, not like having a rechargeable battery in it. Only runs in full sun to it full performance.

My Dartwood solar brid bath fountain is a very fine product. It works quite well. The four different nozzle are fun to change to get different effects.
I anchored the bottom of the solar panel with a fishing sinker. It stays in one place instead of floating all around. I found it better than the straws it comes with.
The most important thing, the birds are getting used to it.

It's great! Sprays water at a high level. Make sure your bird bath or water container is large. If it is too small the water in the container gets sprayed over and onto the ground. I love this solar fountain! Worth the purchase.
Side note: I placed a few rocks on it to keep it from floating around. This keeps the spraying water in the center of my bird bath.
