Dealt is Dewalt but wrong advertising!
I bought it to have it ready for my home project but opening the case big surprise, where is the swivel coupler and the nail samples? Or is you or HD that are lying. Still trust your quality but this...

Great investment
This nail gun its awesome. Easy to use, lightweight, it does not make that much noise and the best part is that you can fit different nail sizes, and you get a pincel sharpener lol DIY friendly im not a carpenter but im rebuilding my walking closet so far so good

Liked the precision tip
I bought this because my old 18 gauge nailer only went up to 1 /3/8" nails, where this will go up to 2". I liked the no mar tip and the fact that they provide 2 extra tips is nice. I installed quarter round moulding with it and it worked great, once I adjusted to the correct nail depth. It is light weight and worked well. The only issues I have is that it doesn't have a swivel end as show on the Home Depot display. The window for the nails is OK, I wish it was a little further back so you had a few more than 6-10 nails before you ran out. The only other point is the belt clip with the pencil sharpener was a not practical. The sharpener didn't work and it added too much depth so the clip was not secure on my tool belt. I wish I could get a clip replacement without the sharpener.

Awesome gun. Super misleading store signs.
The product did not match the store signs for the gun. No swivel connector. No sample nails. Looking at information here it was even missing extra no-mar tips. Still, the gun works awesome. I am just disappointed as I love Dewalt products and was sad to discover that what I got absolutely did not match what was advertised.

Store Display is misleading
The nailer is of good quality but the store display is misleading. The nailer is displayed with a swivel type quick connector but that is not the case. No swivel connector is included. Store signage also says that sample nails are included...there were no nails in the package! Hmph!

DeWalt Quality Control Issues or Cheaping Out?
I needed an 18ga nailer as my faithful Bostitch was running its last leg. I went to HD and bought the DWFP12233. When I got home I opened the box and to my surprise the nailer came with a fixed air fitting Instead of the swivel adapter on the display model at HD (see pic). Worst yet Dewalt did NOT include the extra no-Maring tips or even the tool belt clip. Why why why DeWalt? Is it a quality control issue for the missing accessories? I hate to think you are cheaping out on two no-Maring tips, a swivel adapter and a belt clip. I have bought several DeWalt Tools from drills, saws, lasers and never had QC issues. Why now, and from reading the rest of the reviews the missing accessories is a common occurrence. If it’s a QC issue it shouldn’t take that long to fix it. If you have decided to exclude the accessories and charge extra then be transparent and not misleading your customers.

DIY friendly
After much research among brad nailers, i decided to give this one a shot. Easy to hold, easy to load nails in. The adjustable nailing depth is a plus on the tool. Its powerful enough to nail carpet to wood and i was able to build a dog bed ramp. This product has exceeded my expectations by far

I used this to rebuild some kitchen drawers. I wanted something inexpensive but good quality - this was perfect. The air coupler is the default 1/4" industrial; I switched it over to 3/8 automotive type, which works no problem (that's the size I use). Then I loaded it with brads, and got to work. This is a simple tool to use. Loading is easy, squeeze the load button and slide the bar back, drop in brads, close it. I used 90 psi at my regulator. It took a few brads to get the depth correct. The depth adjustment works, but there is no reference point - no marks, no feedback (i.e. it does not get tigheter as you turn it), no nothing, so it's completely arbitrary. It's also a very tiny wheel, hard to turn. Considering that this is something that gets used a lot, it should be a larger, more robust adjuster. Once you get it set, it is very repeatable, but it can be a challenge to get it set right. The working end is narrow enough that you can get in some tight corners. It is easy to see the workpiece, and the brads end up where you expect they will. Bump feed works great, as does manual feed. Trigger has a good feel, and I never had an accidental fire. I've only used max 1-1/2 inch brads so far, but this nailer seems to have good power. I was able to fully drive them into even hard maple - I had some fun and drove brads into a lot of scrap wood. Aside from the odd depth adjustment, I think this is a well built tool.

Add this review to the others that did not receive the accessories AND warranty as listed on the Home Depot and Dewalt sites for a DWFP12233 model. The swivel air connector, extra No-Mar tips and sample brads were NOT included. In addition the warranty statement on the storage box cover says 3 years instead of 7. Although the nailer is marked with the correct number the feature set appears to be closer to a DWFP12231 model as described on the Dewalt site. In any case it will be returned at my first opportunity. Would like Dewalt to respond with the real story and Home Depot to make corrections to their web site and in store displays as appropriate.

I recently had a project to replace some trim. I purchased this just for this project. It was the best thing I ever did. I practiced a bit on some scrap wood to figure out the pressure needed to drive the 1 1/2 inch brads so they were slightly recessed. The nailer worked flawlessly. I love it. I see where it will come in handy for some future projects I have planned. I would definitely recommend this Dewalt 18 gauge nailer.
