had the dewalt 18g straight brad nailer. wasn't confident about it's holding power be for engineered hardwood according to many flooring people. went and bought this 16g for nearly double the price ($439) and also b/c angle would be better for getting c on starter/final rows. it did get very close but first nail bent in half, jam. second one shot right thru the plastic on bottom of tool. nice. will return and use the 18g. I'd abandon the dewalt nailer idea if i had a quick better option.

Happy not doing extra work
Im just glad Im not having to take out the air compressor out at all. Plus having $50 off helped deciding on getting this gun.

Awesome tool
I don't know what people are doing with these one star reviews: putting straight nails in an angled nailer?
This unit is great. My very first nailer tool beyond a corded brad nailer. It's fast, powerful and simple to use after watching a video review of the unit on YouTube. I had zero misfires and mishaps using Paslode 2.5inch 16g 20 degree angled nails.
Used to replace framing and redo window casework on my 70 year old garage which is severely rotted in critical spots.
Outstanding product.

Way better than lugging around a nailer, hose, and compressor... looking for an outlet and waiting for the compressor to charge making all the sweet sweet compressor noise. Would like for more components to be metal instead of plastic, but so far, wish I had purchased this sooner.

DeWALT EXCELLANCE!!!
Used this right out of box without charging battery and nailer lasted the rest of the day! Everything about it is quality! Considering selling all my air compressors, hoses and pneumatic guns!

Had High Hopes
Just ordered this a week ago and had high hope's. I read all the mostly good reviews for this product and figured for basic home repair use it would be a great addition. Unfortunately I should have listened to the 1 Star reviews. The first time I pulled the trigure a nail got stuck and bent in the gun. After removing it the second one fired well. But the Third went through the front plastic nail feeder. Looks graet and is super light but to break on the third nail is a total fail. Hoping this is just a fluke but I will probably go with a different brand upon returning this one.

Easy use. Quality product that is reliable. Not happy about the marking in the trim work after shooting the nail there is excess damage that could be engineered to not be there and just be a nail hole. Other than that it gets the job done.

This Dewalt 16 ga. angle nailer is a work horse. I have had it for two months and used it to complete a whole home reno from flooring, door and window trim, base boards and cabinet trim. The cordless capabilities of this nailer give you the freedom to move anywhere without the noise and heavy compressors. The only down fall is that it came with only one small battery and could have paired it with two small batteries or at least on large one, but it dose the job for hours before needing a charge.
Absolutely love it!

No compressor or hose needed!
One charged battery and you are ready to work! No need to drag a hose or plug in a compressor! Great for field work where there are no outlets available or a CO2 cartridge and battery. The freedom of not being attached to something makes working much easier. The 20 volt battery allows you to shoot nails all day long without recharging. The 16 gauge nails give you the ability to attach moldings of all profiles and thickness.
The Cordless 20-Volt Max 16-Gauge Finish Nailer is a must have for trim work. Compared to my old 18 volt this gun is much lighter with the smaller 20 Volt Battery, which makes all day of hanging doors and running base a lot easier...and the Lithium battery lasts the day without needing a charge! There are some other nice new features...settings for nail depth, plunger release in case of a jam, and a battery charge left indicator. All of this makes for a greatly improved finish nailer and of course it has the DeWalt brand for warranty and service.
I do a lot of small projects that require a finish nailer, and it’s a pain lugging around an air compressor. Therefore, I decided to obtain the new DeWalt 20-Volt Max 16 Gauge Finish Nailer, Model DCN660D1. What stands out with this nailer is it’s great ergonomics and light weight. The performance is also remarkable.
The DeWalt 20-Volt Max 16 Gauge Nailer weighs only 6 lbs. and holds 110 twenty-degree angle nails. The kit comes with the tool, 2 amp-hour battery and sturdy plastic case. It has a convenient nail depth adjustment dial and switch for quickly changing from sequential to bump modes. It also has a tooless mechanism for clearing jams. I was pleasantly surprised with the ergonomics, and could easily work with this battery-powered nailer all day.
If you have a need for a battery-powered finish nailer, the DeWalt DCN660D1 is a great choice. Highly Recommended!!
I’ve been wanting a battery powered brad nailer for quite some time. This one fit the bill because I am already invested in the DeWalt ecosystem. I appreciate that this can accomodate a 2” brad and works quickly. I recently used this to tack on some of my fence boards while i used some screws to fasten it permanently. My favorite feature is the continuous mode where you hold the trigger and just continue tapping down a row. Its super convenient and all of my brads were countersunk perfectly. My only con with this brad nailer is that the overall dimensions are pretty bulky. The upper portion is rather large and can be top heavy. But just slap on a heavy battery and it feels much better. But just remember that this can cause some fatigue in your arms for longer projects. And if you plan on hanging it on a belt loop or work belt, it will be heavy

This is a work horse of a Brad nailer! On an over all Brad nailer, this nailer works great. It gets the job done in no time. I had only one jam and that was do to a bent nail. I highly recommend this nailer.

Saved a lot of time versus using an air compressor. It was also much easier to complete the job without the extra noise and lugging around extra equipment.

Reliable and reasonable weight gun. However, i would prefer if it’s angled for more control. Also, i used to have a bosch gun and it used to lock whenever it’s out of nails, the dewalt keeps shooting and i can’t tell when was the last nail shot.
