Works great and put down 400sq’ of roofing on one 5hr battery.

Bought this tool for minor roofing jobs and setting vinyl windows where attaching the nailing flange is tight. Works great. No more worries about smacking the edge of the brick mould profile on the window with a hammer. Saves a ton of time at awkward angled work, too. Haven't had long, but tool is solid with no problems. Would recommend.

The gun does not hold a full roll of coil nails making it so you need to buy dewalt brand nails. The feed fails a lot when you do not use dewalt nails. If they would fix these issues it would be great and would purchase more.

Heavier than I expected and will be difficult to use all day.

I've driven about 15,000 nails with mine and have no complaints. Sometimes the coil door swings open and I have to reclose it, but otherwise no failures, no jams and no big issues. I have a bunch of dewalt 20vmax batteries already and keeping a couple batteries warm in your hoodie pocket or cargo pants pocket is a good idea, especially if you're working in cold weather, the batteries seem to drain power faster working in winter. I get about 100 nails out of the little 1.5 Ah batteries that come with the consumer drill/driver combo kits and I get about 360 nails (3 coils) out of the chunky 6 Ah battery that comes in the 2-4-6 battery kit. Those are winter numbers, temperatures near freezing. Your results may vary. The belt clip is handy but you'll want a sturdy belt for it, like a wide leather one. This unit feels like about 6-7 pounds when you have a full coil and a 6 Ah battery on there. You can hold the trigger and bump nail like on a pneumatic, and that saves battery. The motor has to wind up for a moment each time you single-nail it and that costs some extra time and power, about 2 or 3 seconds. It's best to place your work and then go in three to four nail bursts per shingle with a single trigger hold. This tool is great for working where you don't have easy power or in areas where you don't want to make a lot of noise for a compressor or a nailer. This nailer is quiet compared to a pneumatic, maybe about 95dB. I'm happy with it.

The nail gun was the worst thing I have ever used in my life. Would only shoot three or four nails and then had to get it unjammed shoot three or four nails and with jam up again used it for less than 100 ft.² on a roof and returned it. I am a DEWALT guy, my entire tool fleet for me and my employees but I will never buy another roofing nailer like the battery one.

This is a replacement for the same model / One lasted 8 months, its replacement lasted a month. We are a General Contractor with an extraordinary amount of money wrapped up in Dewalt tools. The quality has been slipping over time. These nailers were just an example of the New Quality.

Really easy to operate...

I had High expectations with this tool. However it let me down. It overdrives nails. But not in all material. For example. Nailing the starter strip many nails just pushed through. I had it adjusted for the lowest setting. But once I nailed through both shingle and starter, the gun drove the nail flush with the shingle surface. I suggest Dewalt upgrade the nailer by creating one more setting. Also a 3.0 ah battery should replace the 2.0 battery included. The battery died after about 360 nails

Works great! Used this to build a new fence from the hurricane and made the job so much easier.

Broke after only driving two nails Really disappointed

I bought this less than 2 years ago and use it for rofing repair. Since day one it started freezing by nail jamming and had to release if everytime. It happened not many times. But today with every nail it was jamming and making me nuts

This is a great tool, works great. Only problem I have with it is that the Belt hook wasn't in the box. I'm not a roofer and use it for installing metal flashings. A belt hook is critical.

Outstanding nail gun

The drill stopped working after every shingle and I brought the one with the battery and it wasn’t in the box had to drive all the way back to the store

Only used for one small side job. Battery lasted for all the d edge and just over 2 square. Biggest reason I purchased was to use for vinyl siding but Hansbrough bought the adapter and tried that yet. Impressed so far
