Recreational use ice fishing Kdrill, plenty of torque was skeptical at first. Batteries held up in cold 25°F drilled 25 holes no issues

The XR is more powerful than others I use the XR with a 4inch cultivation auger to plant flower bulbs works great

Bought this drill to build a set of shelving units in the garage. The battery lasted the entire 3 days to complete the project and still had plenty of power. Awesome unit!

I needed the xr 3 speed drill with the hammer as this has only limited use to me. I didn't realize this was driver only.

Yes, its strong enough to easily handle adjusting the height of my landscape rake I use on my small garden tractor. Other drills simple stopped. I had to hand crank it and it took a lot of effort. I put this drill onto it, on the lowest gear setting and it powered it right up and right back down. I am very very happy with this! I'll probly replace all my Craftsman cordless drills with Dewalt now.

I give this drill an excellent rating because it works great for what bought it for, drilling. It works great on drill bits up to 1/2" on both wood and metal. As well on small to medium size whole saws or uni bits.

I love this drill for planting using an auger. It has plenty of power and with the handle I have yet to twist my wrist. I do have the another dewalt so having 2 one for drilling holes and one for using screws is great

I have to bring it back because it stopped working after the first day

I use it for a variety of things including drilling holes for ice fishing! Works great in every application I've used it for.

I bought this drill to run my K drill for ice fishing. IT worked very good and has power. A month after the warranty was out it stripped gears inside. Not happy with that at all. I have several dwalt items from hand tools to apparel other then the cordless tools I also have corded Dewalt tools. I have to be honest if I wasn't so deep in Dewalt stuff I would have went RED because of this. 5 year warranty is far better then the 3 year warranty.

If you need power, look no further. This thing packs a massive power load. It's a good idea to practice with the e-clutch before diving into your work. I used this to drill through I-beams and joist and it doesn't even big down. Tim the Tool Man Taylor would love this lol!

used to run 6" NERO ice auger. So far, easily cutting 50 holes/battery. Handy to have around on the ice!

I bought this drill to power my K-Drill auger for drilling 8 inch holes in the ice for fishing. Works great , has plenty of power and torque to get the job done.

I am a DIY’er who does a lot of projects, but this drill hadn’t had a real hard life. My DCD991 is just out of warranty, and the chuck stuck wide open. It always had issues with sticking. Now, I find out it can’t be fixed unless I send it in for a repair that’s almost as much as a new drill (older DeWalt chucks could be swapped out). I wrote DeWalt a week ago. No response. Time for a Milwaukee.
