The DeWalt Jig Saw stops working every few seconds when run on #7 High Speed. As soon as the blade encounters a little resistance, the saw turns itself off for a few seconds, and then you can resume for a few seconds before it turns off again, making it impossible to be productive. This saw is impossible to use unless your workload is very light. The blade has too much play where it installs and it moves forward while cutting and comes out of the rail track and twist sideways. The other downfall is that you cannot rest this jigsaw on the battery when done using. So the blade has to be removed each time to let it stand up.

Awesome jigsaw! Bought it to help cut stair stringers. Zipped right threw with no problem. The t style blades are great also so you don’t have to worry about the blade popping out.

This Jigsaw is both powerful and great to handle. This Jigsaw will not disappoint you in your projects. Even a better buy if bought in a promotion as I did.

The DEWALT 20-VOLT MAX CORDLESS BRUSHLESS 4-1/2 TO 5 IN. PADDLE SWITCH ANGLE GRINDER WITH FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE (TOOL ONLY) is a nice compact, cordless grinder. It handles both 4-1/2 inch and 5 inch wheels for grinding, polishing, sanding and cut-off. The paddle switch has a safety function incorporated into it that makes it easy to release the safety and activate the grinder in the same movement. While the tool does not come with batteries or wheels, almost any brand of wheels will fit it. And all of DeWalt's 20 volt and Flex Volt batteries will fit, giving a wide range of running time. No tools are required to either rotate the guard shield or change a wheel. It spins up quickly and provides a strong grinding and cutting tool. Another great addition to your DeWalt tool collection!

Use for my job working tile quite often as well as metal work at home. This grinder is worth every penny. Adding the flex volt battery also adds quite a notable difference in power. Also it was to my surprise that even with the big flex volt packs, the weight is very well balanced while using the grinder.

I'm starting to replace all of my DEWALT power tools with the FLEXVOLT line of tools! What a great idea to be able to use one battery and charger for all the DEWALT tools! I am impressed with the way it feels in my hand. It features an electronic soft start for torque control ( great feature), a rotating gear case to improve user comfort, guard adjustment is very simple. Instructions are some of the best I've ever read, very well written and easy to follow!! You cant go wrong with a DEWALT product! The tool also features a very good warranty!

The 48 inch brush cutter that works off the PTO of my tractor takes quite a beating in normal use which means the blades need grinding in order to keep them semi-sharp. The cord on my older grinder gets in the way. The spinning grind wheel cut the cord with just minimal contact. Today, a new DeWalt DCG416 cordless grinder with a brushless motor is replacing the old one. This new DeWalt grinder accepts either 4-1/2" or 5" Type 27 wheels. The Guard that comes with the DCG416 is movable by hand when turning it clockwise. The guard release lever must be depressed to move it counter-clockwise. Performing the counter-clockwise operation has caused the guard to disconnect. To be safe, the battery must be removed while re-attaching the guard. The paddle switch and auxiliary handle make for a comfortable feel. A different guard, Type 1/41 (must be purchased separately) is required if cutting wheels are to be used.

I received the grinder in its box without any other packaging. There was a tear in the cardboard but the contents were apparently all there. The grinder comes with instructions, handle and an Allen wrench, to use with the large knurled spindle clamp nut. The hex indentations in the nut are about 1/10” deep, so there isn’t much engagement area for the Allen wrench. The uncushioned screw on plastic handle which can be attached to the left or the right side of the grinder head. It has a paddle type switch with small lever safety. This is a Flexvolt Advantage tool which is brushless and apparently has a brake. The tool takes about 1 second to come to a complete stop after releasing the switch. It has a quick adjust blade guard lever. I have a 5.0Ah DeWalt 20 volt XR battery to use with the grinder, but no Flexvolt batteries yet. A Flexvolt battery can apparently give the tool up to 54% more power than the standard battery. The grinder gets up to speed quickly and seems to have plenty of power. It has one speed. There’s a fine mesh air intake at the base near the battery and the cooling air exits at the tool head. It has a maximum of 1550 watt output and 9,000 rpm. Weight of the tool is 3.92 pounds. I can’t speak to longevity as I only just got it, but the tool seems well made, and has a 3 year warranty with 1 year free service and 90 day money back guarantee. The tool is made in China.

I bought the new model last year and just like my old cordless dewalt jigsaw this one is also one of my most used tools, being a trim carpenter I use this thing so many times throughout the day from cutting skirtboards, notching baseboard, crownmoulding, holes in cabinets etc! Everything from the variable speed for when you need to go slow and the power on full blast this saw is perfect the way the tool is balanced and just goes exactly where you want it to when cutting it what sets this thing apart from all the other brands, my only little complaint about it is the bar in front of the saw blade is kinda in the way but super easy to get used to after you use it for a while. Overall dewalt killed it once again with this one.

This Angle Grinder by DEWALT is another tool that I need for my collection of cordeles tools, it really helps a lot for the kind of work I do, sometimes is really difficult to get extension cord long or even power for where I’m working this DEWLAT angle grinder makes my job so much easier, all I need is to make sure I have a couple of batteries charge, I try it with the 20V battery and the flex volt if you are going to use it for a long period, the lock mechanism for changing the blades is just is very safety, also has a break once you release the power . I really like it definitely I recommend this Dewalt angle grinder 100%

DEWALT 20-VOLT MAX LITHIUM ION CORDLESS BRUSHLESS 4-1/2 - 5 IN. PADDLE SWITCH ANGLE GRINDER WITH FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE I’ve used this Dewalt grinder on a few thing. I’ve cut up pieces of tin roof. Steel bars from 1/2 to 3/4 inch. I’ve used a few flap disk and wire wheels. It’s been impressive for what I’ve done with it. I used it with the bigger 20v battery’s. If it gets better with a flexvolt battery I may never use my plug in grinder again. The braking is I nice feature. It stops spinning about a second after you let off the button. The grinder is comfortable to use and actually pretty light even with a the big 20v battery. Guard is easy and quick to adjust. Swapping the wheel or disc out is simple. It come with an Allen head for the tool It could use a way to attach the Allen head to the tool so it doesn’t get lost.

This is a really good angle grinder. It isn't too heavy, but isn't too light either. Only thing you need to do is screw in the handle and put a battery in it to go. The handle gives you the control you need to make sure you aren't swinging, but cutting or grinding in the place you need to be. So far this tool has done everything I have asked of it.

I have a powered DeWalt angle grinder and I love it. It has been an absolute beast and cut, polished, or ground anything I threw at it. I was really excited to see that they finally brought a battery powered version to market, so of course I couldn't resist it. We have a few acres so every now and then you have a project that just far enough away from power to be a pain. In this case it was grinding off all the rust on my fuel storage tank and repainting it. I can get power back there if I daisy chain a few extension cords, or tow the generator over there... but that's a lot of effort for a 10 minute job. It was the perfect job to try this out on and it excelled at everything. It had no problem delivering the torque I needed and never bogged down or shut off. The paddle switch is much more comfortable to use than the trigger switch on my powered model. Best of al, it uses the Flex Volt battery system so it was 100% interchangeable with the pile of batteries I already have on top of my workbench. I'm really impressed and this will come in handy on projects around the property.

Dewalt hit a Home run with the grinder. I have read alot of reviews on cordless grinders so I was a little skeptical when I got this one. The shield is easily adjust and quick release, the arbor comes off with a supplied allen key. In comparison to my corded grinder it is a little bigger and heavier. Torque feels about the same but I would give the edge to the corded one. But the advantage of cordless is portability. So I won't be doing on long projects in the future so I don't know how long a battery lasts, but for what I do most often I am glad to cut the cord. Great tool , Great brand. You can't go wrong.

Another excellent DeWalt tool! As I am in the DeWalt battery ecosystem, I am always glad when I can get a good tool. This cordless grinder is very powerful and easy to handle. With a battery on, it is well-balanced and easy to use. The guard has a quick adjust feature so you can quickly move it to a different position to keep it out of your way when grinding. This makes it so you are less likely to just remove it and lose the safety it provides. As you can see in the video, it cut through the T-post easily, and was easy to control. I highly recommend this. It will probably completely replace my corded grinder.

Oh wow. I made some shutters for the house and at first, I got the Ryobi jigsaw as I had some batteries for my outside tools. It was unacceptable (see pics). It didn't feel right in the hand and the blade guide was more like a suggestion for the saw. This is a great "precision" cutting device for certain applications. This tool was part of my decision to move to the DeWalt platform along with an excellent sale price with battery. I highly recommend although there are two more jigsaw options that I understand are as good including a barrel grip and the "brushed" older version that is well loved. This is a high quality tool. Don't hesitate to buy.

DEWALT 20-Volt MAX Lithium Ion Cordless Brushless 4-1/2 - 5 in. Paddle Switch Angle Grinder with FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE (Tool Only). This tool came with no options including a battery and charger. I have been buying all DeWalt tools, so I have plenty of batteries and chargers. The tool came with and Allen wrench for specific attachments, a handle, and an arbor nut. The manual shows a variety of accessories that can be used with the grinder including a sanding disk and pad which I purchased. The guard is easy to position without tools just by pressing a release button and turning to the desired angle. The trigger has a safety that must be pressed along with the trigger to run the grinder. The trigger does not lock and must be held during operation. The tool his hefty for its size and a large battery will add to the weight. The side handle is good to hold the tool steady for flat grinding or sanding but would be at the wrong angle for cutting operations. It is possible to rotate the handle position by removing bolts on the front, but this can also mess up the grinder. The grinder is relatively quiet and very convenient without a cord to get in the way. I used the sanding attachment to try out the grinder and found it very easy to use.

This is the Third Dewalt battery operated tool I’ve received this month. The Dewalt Hedge Trimmer, Dewalt Grass Trimmer and Edger and this Angle Grinder. All three have worked wonderfully on just the power supplied by the 20-Volt MAX Lithium Ion batteries. By the way, the battery and battery charger is NOT included with the Grinder, but if you have other Dewalt tools with the Flexvolt batteries and chargers, they appear to be cross-compatible. In fact, the Grinder has over 50% more power when paired with Flexvolt battery vs. 20V MAX battery. So when you deciding on the tool to use, consider the fact that the batteries are interchangeable. It appears that Dewalt is now using brushless motors on their tools. I found that the case with the tools I’ve received this week. It delivers 1,550 max watts out and up to 9,000 rpm. When I was using the tool to cut bricks, I quickly appreciated the Kickback Brake. It engaged with maximum force to quickly stop the wheel and shut off the grinder when a bind-up occurs. And the clutch shuts down the motor in under a tenth of a second when a pinch/stall is detected. Its lightweight in my opinion, powerful and versatile, but don’t expect the package to contain any accessories. It doesn’t. You’re only purchasing the motor unit and wrench to install accessories with. The tools such as the diamond saw blade or batteries would have to be purchased separately.

Okay, packaging is adequate for shipping and the box has enough details to make a choice. Tool itself is nicely balanced once the battery pack is attached. With this unit, it accommodates many cutting, grinding wheels for the task at hand. Once underway, it seems to have plenty of power for a tool of this size. Battery life depends on many options. Blades and wheels change out nicely!

I don't have a blade in the Dewalt Angle Grinder yet and I already love it. This is the DCG 416B, bare tool, no battery no blade shipped , but the quality and the fit and feel are the best of many of my hand held power tools. Spring adjust blade guard will move 360 degrees with no tools. One large hex wrench for blade changes is included. I am primarily a woodworker but will use this for all DIY to include cleaning up repurposed lumber.

I am a professional carpenter/home builder. I use my tools daily in the job site from decks to full house builds. I love this jigsaw. I have a corded version and this one. Let me tell you what! The ease of changing blades now with this versus the old screw style is phenomenal!! Makes getting the job done quick too easy! This has a variable sped function and an anti tear out device included. Tons of power and functionality makes this tool a home run! I have nothing bad to say!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nothing matches the accuracy and stability. This tool provides you with that. Smooth cutting with precision and very good balance. Adjusting the cutting angles is numbered and you can easily determine the appropriate angle. Also, what I liked is the speed of changing the cutting knife, you do not need a wrench and so on only pull the slider and put the knife. The tool is lightweight with a wonderful engineering design that you can hold without Fatigue and cutting for a long time without fatigue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It runs smooth and easy to use. If came in super handy when making cuts in the cement board. I’m remolding they shower and needed to make cuts around the shower niche. With the proper blade this tool made it so easy. It saved time and It Allowed me to use full sheets of cement board instead of having to cut multiple pieces.

This is a really nice jig saw, the blower works great to keep the dust off the line and the 4 way adjustable blade angles are a good feature to cut different materials. The blades are quick and easy to replace but they need to be the T type. I liked plastic base as it won't scratch the top of the counter as you cut the sink opening. I used to use tape on the metal shoe. The LED lights are another great feature, they make it easy to see the line even in low light situations. The saw is quieter compared to my other jig saws one is a 20 year old Dewalt corded and a "Red" cordless. This tool also seems to have less vibration than the other tools so it feels easier and smoother to make cuts.

The XR brushless cordless jigsaw has been a great tool to have around. Got lots of power and is super quiet. The only issue I've had so far is I wish the blade was able to get tighter to the edges of things. The platform sticks out about 1-5 inches in front of the blade. It also can be heavy when adding the battery (which isn't a deal breaking). In all I would buy it again and would recommend those to look for a sale price before buying.
