Great tool. Lightweight and easy to maneuver. For a battery operated trimmer it has plenty of power for your standard at-hole trimming. Already have a few 20v Dewalt tools, so I purchased this trimmer to replace a corded Black & Decker trimmer whose motor gave out.

Awesome hedge trimmer, well worth the cost of purchase! Well balanced with a sturdy built. The included 5.0 Ah 20V battery and charger is a well received bonus! Wish it would have come with a sheath guard for the blade. Other than that, a perfect purchase. Thank you Dewalt for another outstanding product!

I promise you it wprks fine has power last a decent amount of time. But safety glasses or safety shield or long sleeves you will be hurting either way because the shield or rockhard on this thing is so small that everything is going to hit you everything hits you and it goes in a counter clockwise spinning motion so everything is coming back at your forearms at your face your neck and your head.

I have several Dewalt tools and decided my old corded hedge trimmer was just not convenient, so I took advantage of the batteries I have by purchasing the Dewalt 22in cordless hedge trimmer. The blades are sharp and able to cut moderately sized branches, and the length makes reaching across easier for cutting a nice flush top cut. The trimmer feels sturdy, has a little weight to it, but not too heavy to wield above and below the bushes.

Does not bog down or loose power like most electric trimmers. Battery life is great. Battery also works in dewalt 20v ion drill and saw. Overall good product. Seems sturdy even for having a plastic head. Brushless design keeps it quiet too

I already had a Ryobi electric weedeater and it was trash so I already had experience with electric weedeaters. I took a chance on it because it is dewalt and because I have been a big dewalt tool fan I already had 6 5AH batteries and 3 changers. I aas more than pleased with the performance of the tool. I used the high setting because it is a electric weedeater and I thought that the power of the tool would be less. I ended up rutting the yard so I just left it on the low setting. Don't use the smaller 2AH batteries because they won't have the longevity of the larger batteries and i have not used them so i don't know if it decreases the power of the Weedeater. It is light enough to use without strain over a long period of time. I didn't have to weedeat large weeds so I don't know the performance of the weedeater in that respect but for the yard work I do it is more than enough, I am happy with this tool.
