Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Good Size & Weight, Lots of Features, Nice Design, Sturdy
A compact yet sturdy table that will not take up too much space when folded this table, with its 1,000-pound load rating, will suffice for those not requiring a large area table or who need to do occasional field work. The 18 inch by 46-inch work surface is provided with numerous holes and slots to assist in the positioning and clamping of the work piece. The table comes almost completely assembled, requiring only the installation of the carry handle, winding horns, work lead stud and tool holder ring. The stud is supplied with a double nut, making it convenient to attach a permanent or semi-permanent lug if one is going to leave the table in place for regular work, but is easy to clamp on the work lead if that is your pleasure. With the legs in the folded position, short “feet” are integral with the design to permit placing on top of an existing bench or flat surface. The carry handle has an offset bend that permits a well-balanced grip when carrying the forty pound bench. When used “stand-alone” the legs are unfolded and can be adjusted by selecting a set of the numerous holes provided for the spring-loaded detent pins to engage. Plastic levers act to depress the spring pins, though, if they succumb to rough treatment, it is easy enough to depress the pins with one’s fingers. When fully extended the table height is 36 inches and one of the legs is provided with an adjustable tip to level the table if on an uneven surface. For added peace of mind, locking pins with integral bails are provided to be inserted in the leg holes should the work load be too much for the spring loaded pins. A nice touch is the guide line imprinted on the inner telescoping legs to assist in lining up the spring pins with the matching holes. An eye-bolt is provided at one end as a tool holder. While intended for one’s MIG gun, the lack of support will likely relegate this has a resting place for a pair of welpers. Plastic cord winding horns are supplied but will be somewhat exposed to damage if thrown in the back of a truck or trailer with other items piled on it. While not sharp, the edges that one will be handling this by are not particularly rounded over. All in all, this is a well-made table that, used within its intended limits, will be a good choice for those who lack shop space or who need a easy to transport work table for field work.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Clean, Easy to Install, Easy to Use, Good Size & Weight, High Quality, Looks Great, Nice Design, Sturdy, alignment mark for leg holes, well balanced handle, mostly assembled as received
Cons: plastic handles subject to damage, tool holder lacks support for mig gun
At home or on the job site the DEWALT Adjustable Height Portable Folding Steel Welding Table is perfect for clamping and securing your weldments. The height of the bench without the legs deployed is 8 inches. In this configuration the welding table could be set on a tailgate or existing work bench. With the legs deployed the starting height is 29 inches. With the legs extension the table can be extended up to 36 inches tall. The table legs have both spring pin & snap button locks for locking the legs to handle up to a 1000 lbs. balanced load.
The table itself is made from heavy duty steel and is 18 inches wide by 46 inches long. Many ¾ inch holes and slots are available for clamping work pieces. A grounding lug is provided on one end of the table and an eyebolt for hanging tools is provided on the other end. A cord minder is located on one leg and a carrying handle is located in the middle on one side of the table.
This is the best welding table I have ever seen. The only complaint I have is that the instructions for the minor amount of assembly are small and difficult to read. Thank you Dewalt for a great portable welding bench.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Good Size & Weight, High Quality, Lots of Features, Sturdy
First off, the instructions were very vague and hard to see (small print). Assembly required a lot of tools in various sizes. Different size hex wrenches for different steps; same with all the other parts. However, once I got past the assembly, the table itself is great! Incredibly sturdy and secure. Love the handle to carry it around. Adjustable height for comfort no matter what I am doing. Cord holder to keep the cord out of the way, lots of strategically placed holes make mounting and clamping easy. The legs fold up making it easier to store in the back of a vehicle or out of the way in your garage. Highly recommended.
Pros: Durable, Good Size & Weight, High Quality, Lots of Features, Sturdy
I chose the DeWalt welder's table not for a welder's table but I'll use it as a work bench. This is a truly a heavy weight in it's division. This makes the perfect item to what I intend to use it for. I'm planning on using it as a heavy duty portable work bench. I'll be installing 3/4" X 12" Ponderosa pine glue together to form the table top of the work bench. The working capacity of the bench is 1000 pounds. The working height of the bench is adjustable from 8" to 36" with a width of 46" and a depth of 18". This is a quality piece of construction that carries the DeWalt name for quality. The way the unit folds for storage saves a tremendous amount of space in my storage shed. I had been looking for a quality fordable work bench, this more than serves the purpose.
Pros: Durable, Good Size & Weight, High Quality, Nice Design, Sturdy
I just got this in so that I can do TIG welding in my basement. This thing is great. It’s solid and folds up easily enough so that I can make room when I’m not using it. I appreciate the relatively lightweight that doesn’t seem to compromise stability. I can also adjust the height.
