Probably be fine if you are in warm weather all the time. Once it gets cold out might as well have a solid piece of pipe.

The pressure regulator manifold, the part that holds the popoff valve, a pressure gauge, a pressure regulator and two female quick connects, turns like a steering wheel. From its proper position it turns both clockwise and counter clock wise about 30 degrees before the manifold shroud bumps into the pump housing. It appears to me that the 3/4" NPT nipple with thread dope on each end needed to be made up another round. This now requires cutting the hose clamp on the hose that goes from the manifold to the pressure switch in the pump housing, the removal of the pump housing (3 screws), the removal of the manifold shroud, turning the manifold 1 more round clockwise if possible, buy a new hose clamp and install, install the pump housing, install the manifold shroud and check for leaks. If unable to make a complete turn, a 3/4" NPT close nipple with thin jam nuts would probably work. This compressor was not assembled properly and is not up for the task of a construction site. It is not safe for this manifold to fit loosely to the tank. Also the paint job on the bottom of the tank looks like it was set down in dirt while the paint was still wet. I buffed it out a little bit I cut a shim out of PDC board 1" by 1/2 " by 5-7/8" long and wedged it between the manifold shroud and the pump housing and ran a bead of Flex Seal glue along the shroud side of the shim. Because of the secure fit of the shroud and the manifold, this seemed to stabilize the problem. I don't consider this a heavy duty solution, but there are no leaks. I bought a DeWalt because I expected it to be Heavy Duty and well made.

Excellent item for simple home-based operations
I chose the Dewalt 6-gallon, pancake-style compressor to replace a small, inefficient 1-gallon unit I have used for several years. The extra capacity in this model is evident when you start using your tools; I now have full pressure for a longer work period before the pump has to kick on to supply more air. It is very sturdy with rubber feet on the bottom to keep it in place yet it is still light enough to be moved where needed by the comfortable handle. Getting the included brad nailer was a bonus since I have an upcoming project with lots of trim to install. The magazine capacity for this nailer is 100, 18-gauge fasteners ranging between 5/8-inch up to 2-1/8-inch long. This lightweight tool (2.6 pounds) has an adjustable depth setting to allow the fasteners to be set flush with the finished surface or slightly recessed and/or can be set to bump/contact action for rapid nailing on flat surfaces. Should a fastener become jammed in the nosepiece, just flip open the latch on the nose door to remove. Lastly, I had to smile when I noticed that Dewalt has even included a pencil sharpener built into the belt hook.

      Doesn't hold air
It does everything it's designed to do EXCEPT hold air for more than 24 hours. I will charge it up to about 150 psi, and 24 hours later there is no pressure. Every air compressor I have owned has held air, so it's ready to use without "filling". I am going to attempt to return despite not having the box... Silly

Received air compressor and it came "plug & play", fired right up, built up to 155 Lbs and shut off. After reading all comments about leaking air, I let it set for over a week before actually using it. One week later, it still had 100 Lb air still in tank, very happy about that part.Used it today and worked like a champ!. I took off sprocket and final drive motor off a mini excavator, including a couple bottom rollers that had been on since 2005 (new). All bolts also had locktight which took more power to take off. (23) tough bolts total. Very happy with this compressor. Hopefully it will last many years. The above job will be it's toughest chore that I will ever use it for, a happy camper!, so far, so good. I would recommend to any homeowner or small shop owner. The little extra boost with the PSI made the difference from the "other average size compressors" that I researched.

I bought this hose for new a new compressor in my garage and I've been using it for about a month. My need is just to air my car tires and maybe blow out the garage. It seems a little odd but I really like the feel of this hose. I had a curly hose on a compressor in a different house and this one just works and feels better. It's soft and it easy to pull around the garage while the compressor stays put. It's long enough so I don't have to move the compressor at all but can easily reach all over my 3 car garage. I'm very happy with this hose.

I upgraded to this from an older cambell hausfeld 18 GA nailer. This one is so much nicer I'm upset I didn't get it sooner. It's lighter, easier to load, fires smoother, and it's really easy to see nail placement. Not just a guess as to where the nail will go. I've shot over 1000 nails through it so far and not a single jam. I'm very happy and highly recommend.

This air hose has a lot going for it. The composite blend of rubber and PVC is very flexible and really resists kinks. The bright yellow color makes it harder for me to trip over. It also resists damage from the sun, so it can be left outside. I am using mine mostly to inflate tires. The only potential downside with this hose is the rather small 1/4 inch internal diameter. This means that there will be a larger pressure drop compared to a 3/8 inch hose when using tools that need a large air flow. So far this has not been a problem for me, all the air tools I have used it with have worked fine.

The hose is very flexable and light weight. With it being bright yellow in color, made it very noticeable not to step on or put anything on top of it. love that the quick connect fitting is in the open position when a tool is not connected, made it easy to hook up the framing nailer right away. Got the job/ walls done in no time.

Just what I was looking for
I had been meaning to get a smaller compressor to use with my nailers for some time now, to get away from lugging around my large wheeled one, and this DeWalt model fit the bill nicely. This unit is light and compact, making it well-suited for work up on the roof, and provides ample CFM's to run my framing and finish guns. The unit arrived well-packaged, with no damage, and it's ready to run right out of the box. From totally empty, it takes just under 3.5 minutes to fill. It weighs something around 30 pounds, and with it's large carry handle and compactness, it's easy enough to lug up a ladder, or throw in the back of the truck. It's also fairly quiet - certainly a good bit quieter than the one I have been using - making it ideal for indoor use. The tripod feet, with their rubber boots, make it very stable on pitched surfaces. I did initially have some trouble getting the hose couplings to insert into the couplers deep enough to stay, but that seemed to correct itself after a bit. I must admit that the ones I'm using are discount-store quality, so they may be the issue. I did fill the tank and leave it sit overnight, and noted no discernible drop in pressure. With the features that I've touched on - the unit's compactness and portability, and it's relative quietness of operation - this unit will be perfect for my intended use, pneumatic nailing. While it also may see some use in filling tires, this unit is in no way designed or intended for use with things like cut-off tools, sanders, grinders and such. Stay with tools that don't exceed the CFM ratings of this compressor and I think you will be pleased.

          Compact Air
Packaging & Assembly: Item came reasonably packaged with no damage. Open the box & remove a horizontal cardboard spacer on the top. Package contents: Fully assembled compressor & Instruction booklet. No extra cardboard or packaging inside other than the exterior box itself. First Impressions/Features: Item is lite enough to be easily portable. Plastic was used in various locations of the compressor to keep the weight down; handle & decorative panel(s). Rather than metal plumbing from the compressor pump to the tank, a hose was used. I’ve found, on other compressors, that the metal tubing becomes hot to the touch with no shielding to protect the user. This compressor uses a rubber hose. The compressor features (3) rubber feet firmly attached to the metal legs welded to the tank. The 6-gallon pancake tank sits close to the ground and is fairly sturdy against tipping. The tank also features a nicely done drain cock but it will require tipping of the compressor to drain it all out since this is not located at the lowest point of the tank. The tank & line pressure gauges are easy to read and the tank features (2) quick couplings at a 90° to each other. Onboard cord storage round out the list of basic features. Use: This compressor is average in noise level and tank filling time. The extra PSI rating over other items of similar use give this a bit of an advantage. Pricewise, they are average to slightly above average vs. other compressors of similar features. As for its intended use. Compressors of this style are not for high SCFM demand but rather shorter “burst” demands such as nail guns, tire inflation, staplers, intermittent dust blowing. This is not designed for long duration die grinding, sanding, etc… Don’t expect it to perform high-volume tasks without a fast decrease in air pressure and lengthy recovery time. If you use this for it’s designed use, you should be quite pleased with its overall performance & compact size/weight. This compressor excels in the category of portability. I would have liked to see a little on-board storage for small items like inflator chucks, needles, etc...

I received the compressor undamaged and in good working condition. Running, it was quieter than my old one that wore out. I m pleased the this compressor and it meets all my needs, mostly woodworking tasks and keeping vehicle tires inflated.

          Started strong, but failed fast
I was impressed by the initial performance, but after about 1 month of consistent use framing a smaller project the compressor simply stopped. Since warranty work is done at specific locations and I am 3+ hours from the nearest one, this gets chalked up to "you get what you paid for". Ended up doing some repairs to my older (10+ years), better DeWalt compressor until I was able to get ahold of a Senco to replace the old DeWalt. Spend a little more on better - you won't regret it.
