[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this battery brand new and it’s trash it won’t charge at all and it’s says it’s fully charged when you try to charge it, but the battery is completely dead. I’m very disappointed In Dewalt with all the money I have spent buying almost all their tools

It worked very well when I just bought it and I use everyday first time I put to charge was well and work perfectly but now I tried to charge it it never worked again!!! It's a shame because I really had a lot of expectations.

Its amazing my husband loves it.

We already had 2 of the 12ah batteries but needed additional to completely mow our yard. These batteries also work on my chainsaw, tree pole saw (also a chainsaw, just on a pole) and other equipment. During this last storm that hit Texas we had 87+ mph winds and my neighbors very large tree was blown over. This tree was almost 60 years old and you could not reach around the trunk of the tree. There was a lot of wood to be cut. The tree was on its side but I was able to cut all the high off the ground branches with the pole saw. There were over 100 cuts of 8-15" diameter limbs and it was all done with one battery. It was so impressive that my neighbors father went out and bought one of the Dewalt pole saws and these batteries for his house. He has over 30 trees on his property and never thought a battery powered tree saw would do the job. It did and we are happy to have helped our neighbor.

Im glad dewalt came out with 60v batteries. They are very powerful and work on 20v tools too. I use these on my skill saw, small leaf blower, jig saw, dome light, grinder and hammer drill. And they last me few days before recharging. Got a great deal on black friday

Works fine good charge

As you'd expect, this little gem -- which is about as heavy as a newborn baby cow -- works strong and lasts a ridiculously long time. I'm using mine paired with a DeWalt cordless compressor to pop superbike tire beads out in the field while racing.

This 20/60-volt 6-amp hour battery is very versatile. It is not as heavy as my 9-amp hour battery that I have in my circular saw so if I don’t have a lot of cutting to do it is the better of choice because it doesn’t weigh as much. Also, when I have lot of drill or impact driver work to do it provides me with all of the power I need and to run these tools for a much longer time than the battery they come with. I like having the green LEDs available on the back of the battery so I can check the level of charge left in the battery. The charger works well, is quick and the indicator lights let me know how the status of the battery. The only complaint that I have is the packing of the battery and charger in an excessive amount of really hard to cut plastic seems unnecessary. A person could get hurt unpacking the battery and charger.

This is my first experience with and using a DeWalt Lithium-Ion battery and its 6.0 AH charger. The only issue I encountered was removing the red cap that protects the battery contacts when in transit. The Instruction Manual does not address removing this safety cap, but provides a drawing showing the cap sliding off the battery to the right. I tried for several minutes to remove the cap without success. I was about to take a flathead screwdriver and attempt to pry it off when common sense prevailed that this was not right. After re-examining the battery I noticed the yellow indentation on one side of the battery was a depressible lock/un-lock tab. Pressing this tab immediately released the red safety cap. The bottom line being, a one line sentence in the Instruction Manual such as "Press the yellow tab on side of battery to release the safety cap and to also remove battery from charger." would have sufficed. With respect to the battery and charger's performance, the battery quickly charges up and performs well in my DeWalt jobsite radio. See attached photographs.

This battery and charger works great in a variety of my DeWalt tools. Really nice that it works in both my 20v and 60v tools. The charger has large and bright indicator lights and quickly charges this battery. The cord is a nice length and I find the run time on a charge to be very sufficient for my needs. Battery came fully charged ready to use right out of the package!

This kit is awesome. Battery is a kid and lasts a long time. Fits flawless in any 20v tool as you can see. The battery can be charged in the older 20v charger or the one with the battery. The new charger can also charge the older 20v batteries. This makes an excellent addition to any Dewalt user. Will become exceptionally useful when using it in the new 60v string trimmer in the spring. Having my old charger in the garage with the new one in the shed is a real time saver and not have to constantly swap out batteries upon completion.

I picked up this DeWalt “Flexvolt” 6 ampere battery and charger set because I have several DeWalt tools and these batteries are interchangeable. It is nice to have a fully charged battery like this one ready for my DeWalt drill, circular saw, leaf blower, and grass trimmer in case it is needed as a back-up. Having the extra charger comes in handy when I am charging more than one battery at a time (example: my DeWalt mower uses two batteries). This set does come with an instruction manual in case you are just starting to use battery-powered tools. Charging the battery is very straightforward; just slide it into the charger until you hear it click into place. The charger has a handy red LED display showing the state of the charge (manual explains the LED lights), and it will even sense if your battery is to hot or too cold to charge (note: I keep my batteries in the house to avoid extremes of temperature which affect battery performance but they can get hot after use in any event). I highly recommend this battery and charger set if you have DeWalt battery-powered tools because it will keep you up and running with your tools when you need them!

Batteries met the expectations that I was hoping for. Longer periods of time with the power that I needed between charging intervals.

Misleading advertising, this is first generation flexvolt battery

Picked this up today and the battery included in tthe kit is not the new Flexvolt 6.0ah as pictured. It is the first generation Flexvolt.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This battery is a remarkable advancement for DeWalt. I had a large 18v set of tools and upgraded to 20v - so worth it! This battery will last an eternity with 20v saws and drills, etc. but it also lasts a very long time using yard tools. I have 2 acres and can easily trim my entire property using the dewalt string trimmer and this battery. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Flexvolt 9Ah battery blew me away. Typically I can get about 19 8 foot rip cuts on my Dewalt track saw with my old 6Ah Flexvolt battery before the battery goes down to 1 bar on the indicator. I rip cut 3/4 Melamine almost daily for my jobs. For the last 3 days, I've used the new Flexvolt 9Ah battery exclusively. And surprise surprise, i'm averaging 18 8 foot rip cuts between per 4x8 panel, and i'm still getting full battery indicator. To date, this battery has been able to handle 5 to 6 sheet sheets of Melamine panels at 18 full length cuts before the battery goes down to 1 bar. Just wow. I can only imagine how long this beast will last on my XR drills/drivers (testing this soon). The 9Ah is about 25 percent larger in volume compared to my old 6Ah Flexvolt, so goes for weight. Build quality is typical Dewalt, which is to say great, stout and professional in mind. At roughly 30 dollar more for the 9Ah from the 6Ah, I see this as a no-brainer for what I do and need on my job sites. Now on to the 12Ah Flexvolt battery...

Product as expected. Cost is the big issue.

I recently bought two of these DeWalt 9 Ah Lithium Ion battery packs as back up batteries for my DeWalt mower as well as the other DeWalt battery-powered tools I have (chain saw and circular saw). It is great having the extra capacity so that I do not have to worry about whether I will run out of power. The batteries come with a protective cover (see picture), and there is a battery status button on the side so you always know the level of charge. I highly recommend this 9 Ah battery. It is the largest capacity DeWalt battery and well worth the cost.

This battery makes 20v tools last for days and 60volt tools long enough to get the job done and then some. Dewwlt has really set the bar when it comes to cordless power!

This battery is like having a nuclear power plant in your tool. It last forever. That being said, it is probably overkill for your average drill job. It adds about 3 lbs to the drill. If you like the hook on the side of your drill, you will need to remove it due to the size of the battery. FLEXVOLT 12.0 Ah Battery, 8X runtime in 20-Volt MAX and ultimate power in 60/120-Volt MAX. Fits in the same size as our 9.0 Ah Battery, so it is more power in as compact a package as possible. POWER Here we used it in our heater and ran the fan and light for two 'work' days and it's still on 'full' charge. Think it will take a bit over my 6Ah batteries to run this one down. We have a Flexvolt 120 volt compound 12" miter saw and can't wait to get a second 12Ah to mate up with it, for use in it.

We received the DeWalt Flexvolt 20V max/60V max Lithium Ion Battery the other day. It’s supposed to give you 8X the runtime that the battery gives that comes with their tools. So I gave it a good charge and put it in the weed wacker and after 40 minutes it was still going strong. DeWalt is the brand that we always go to, drills, Impact driver, saws etc. that have always given us very good performance and are long lasting. Well this battery was no different. It worked in all of our battery operated tools and our weed wacker. On the downside it is a BIG battery and is much heavier but it is well worth the performance. If your looking for a longer lasting battery, I would recommend the DeWalt Flexvolt 20v, 12ap I am also not sure if the charger we have DCB-107 will charge this battery.

this is a very nice battery. It supposedly has 8 times the run time than their other 20 volt batteries seeing I don't don't have any other 20/60 flex volt batteries to compare it to I'll just have to take their word for it. I would think this battery would be better suited for stationary tools because of it's weight. It weighs in at a whopping 52.15 oz or 3.25 lbs. I plugged it into my oscillating multi tool and it works great. I could probably run that tool all day long. But my arm would get real tired holding it up. It also comes with a cover that goes over the prongs that plug into the tool. Which is a great idea all my other various brands of batteries don't have that feature and they get all dirty. They can also get damaged getting thrown around in my truck. It automatically switches voltage as you change tools from 20v to 60v. Highly recommend it.

What a brilliant idea. With this battery I can use any DeWalt tool from 12 - 60 volts as opposed to having to find the proper voltage battery and hope it is charged. I have one other battery that will do the two tools I have, drill and router, but now I can use this for a back up or designate it for either tool. This battery even shipped with a guard to install for transport or storage. My DeWalt inventory is growing in good ways.
