After a month of using it I can confidently say the work on this thing is incredible even the handling is easy and comfortable without the handle. Helps me finish the job quicker when there’s times that the generator or extension cords are unnecessary. The battery life is surprisingly durable but the CON about it is you need to have a extra one charged or you’ll have to wait for it charge maybe hours or minutes depending on your charger but other than that I’m happy with my purchase.

Well balanced tool. Great tool, highly recommended. Works as it should. Box a little banged up. All parts accounted for. Very pleased with the tool. Exceeded my expectations.

Great tool! Purchased this cause I was doing a couple of frame replacement’s on a couple of Toyota Tacoma’s ! Wish I bought it along time ago!

Battery didn't last long on a continuous grinding like 20 min and if you are grinding flat on a table you have to grab it in an uncomfortable way because the battery hits your arm and you have to hold your elbow a little high to be able to grind and it would have been grate if they had included a 5-inch guard. They only include 4.5 and 6

This flex volt 60 grinder by dewalt is definitely an amazing tool. It comes with carry bag quick charger, battery, and two guards. The guards are interchangeable so you can use a 4.5" blade and a 6" blade. It has plenty of power and when I used it to shorten my rv steps it cut through the angle iron like butter. I would have loved to own this thing when I did concrete work and needed to cut a bunch of rebar. It would have made that job a lot easier. I am definitely impressed with this tool.

60 volts at 9 AH is a lot of power to get you through the toughest jobs. This is a serious tool made by Dewalt to cut, grind, sand and wire brush applications. It has many features and you should read the User manual thoroughly before using it. Changing wheels is easy with the spindle lock and included wrench. Spend some extra time reading about the guard and the two positions of the one touch and two touch guard options. The manual explains it and the options for the way the guard can be positioned. It comes with one wheel and a tool hadle which can be mounted on either side. The head can rotate 90 degrees to get the best position for the job at hand. Allow the tooll to get to full speed for cutting operations (1 second) before contact with the material. It has a safety clutch system that protects against binding and pinch of the whell in the material. Dewalt put a lot of thought and power into this tool. It have a charger for the invluded 60 volt 9 AH battery. The Flexvolt battery 20v/60V will work in the 20 volt, 60 volt and 120 volt ( two 60 volt batteries installed) tools. I quickly discovered there's a lot of flexibility, power and options with this awesome tool.

It works great, its nice quality and easy to hold. the bag that comes with it is strong and large enough to hold all your attachments, the unit looks and feels good, I love this machine, great to not have a cord, the wireless is the way to go. I did a great deal of work on one charge.

This thing is a beast! (in a good way) Not only in size (nearly 20in) but also power. In cutting tasks up through 3/8 steel and sanding work with various grits of flap discs I never felt I was lacking in torque. I'd even go as far as saying this would trump the corded model I'd been using for the last 10 years. I've yet to hit the end of battery life on the 9Ah monster battery - but appreciate I could swap in my other 20v batteries if ever working an extended time away from a charge. Grip was comfortable and the safety mechanism worked but wasn't intrusive when completing multiple repetitive actions. Disc swaps were easy and I could typically torque things down without needing the hex wrench. All in all a solid piece of equipment, love it. 

The first thing I noticed with this grinder was, with the 60v battery attached, the balance was excellent. Charging the 9ah Flex battery took a good hour. The battery has a thumb latch to secure it into places. Installing the grinder wheel and in my case, a metal cut off disc as well, was very easy, quick and secure. The locking flange is tightened by hand first and finishing with the included hex wrench. Very easy to do. The wheel guard was my only negative experience. The spring loaded latch that allows for guard adjustment and removal, should and could be more finger friendly. The spindle lock is easily accessible. Large storage bag. Decent instructions. I lowered a drain cover made of steel. That required four cuts using the grinder with a not included cutoff disc, The grinder went through the cuts easily. Absolutely no vibration from the tool. I like it a lot.

Very awesome tool I love it

I got this grinder for my husband as a gift, and he loves it, it is so handy having a cordless grinder that he can take with him, and use anywhere and does not have to be near power. He has several of the DeWalt 60V power tools and we can take them and use them while camping without having to use the generator. He said the power of the grinder is just as good as his plug in ones as well. Would recommend this to anyone commercial or residential user.

Battery doesn't last very long

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first angle grinder experience, so although I have spent quite a few hours grinding, take my review with a grain of salt. Specifically, I've been using this angle grinder to restore some half century-old wrought iron furniture and it is wonderful thus far. The 9Ah battery I'm using lasts long enough that once it gives up the ghost I don't even want to continue with my fully charged 6Ah battery because I've heard that the vibration of doing such work isn't good for you long-term (and that comes from someone who claims he's a professional metalworker, which I am not). As I am typing this my arms still feel like they're vibrating. I don't know if a Festool equivalent is any better at mitigating that (like with their sanders), but I am very happy with my purchase thus far. The brake seems to work very well too.

Warning! Uses 60v battery and charger. Totally incompatible with common shared 20v DeWalt battery & charger. I shopped 3 big box stores - happy to order. Zero in stock and no plans to have in store

My flex lot batteries does not fit this tool this is ridiculous

Powerful but effortless to use. Does not get out of control. Grinds like a beast. 9AH batteries last a long time. I have zero complaints.

Eats through the flex volt 6AH and the 9AH batteries in minutes

I have all dewalt cordless tools and love them but this one was a big disappointment. They are selling it on a special 199.00 for the grinder and 199.00 for the 60v 6Ah battery and charger. All of my other tools are 18v so I bought the set. The first battery would last around 2 to 3 minutes of cutting so I called dewalt and they said I had a bad battery so I took it back and they exchanged it. The new battery only last about 5 minutes. So I’m taking it back. And it takes forever to charge
