Bought a Ryobi belt/disk sander to replace a very old one, it came with 80 grit paper, but for some projects that is a bit aggressive on a disk sander. Followed the directions and have had no problem with these at all, in fact was surprised to see some of the other reviews being poor. Diablo is always been a good name in power tool accessories and so far these disk are doing great for me.
I don’t usually review products, but I felt compelled to write on Diablo’s behalf. I just purchased these sanding discs this evening with a Dewalt pneumatic sander. I got everything ready, grabbed the sanding disc, REMOVED THE STICKER PAPER BACKING, adhered it to my sander, and it worked exactly as one would expect sandpaper to work. I truly appreciate the good laugh I had reading all the bad reviews. Hopefully future consumers will see this and realize the sticker paper must come off, or sadly, as the negative commenters mentioned, it will not magically stay on (it needs the sticky stuff to work). Diablo you did a fine job, not just on the sandpaper, your sticky stuff is awesome too! You might consider a diagram of some sort for next time.
These do not adhere properly. Given that there are 5 in a pack, we've already had 2 with no adhesive immediately out of the box and 3 which stayed on the machine for less than a minute each out of 2 packs of 5 packs purchased. See photos for the extent to which we were able to use one particular disc before it came off the machine. Even a single star is too much of a rating for this product.
Using with a bench sand and this fits the disc section. Good quality and seem to last. The stickfast back definitely holds, I have not lost a single sheet. I have sanded soft pine and some old hardwoods with no issues. Good product.
