Yeah I drill through a railroad ties and the Diablo 5/8 absolutely did the job

The Bit worked extremely well going thru pressure treated wood

Did the job boring into walnut for floating shelves.

Very easy to use, the bit pulls itself through holes making the work load very light!

Definitely has bite. Went through an inch and a half of plywood and another half inch of cement board without losing cutting speed.

This bit blew through railroad ties like butter. But make sure you have a drill with some torque. My old Ryobi didn't cut it and I had to use a friends contractor-grade Makita

This drill bit did an excellent job drilling holes through landscape timbers for rebar. Very pleased with this bit.

Bit snapped off tip on second hole in 2x4

Need to back the bit out frequently or risk having it frozen in the wood. Drilled too deep and bit stuck. Unable to back it out! Shaft twisted and ruined it. Had to leave bit in wood. Shaft is longer than it is strong.

Used it to drill 1/2" holes in 4"x6" timbers so I could drive rebar through them and into the ground for a retaining wall. Easily tore through the pressure treated wood in a matter of 4-5 seconds. It says it is a 7.5" bit. Just know that's the overall length from the tip to the end. Other bits might give you the 'working' or usable length of the bit. The length worked out to make it all the way through the nominal 6" depth but I had to have the bit barely in the chuck to make it work.
