I decided to purchase it and see if it would work for me. I placed the drip tubing in my rows of raspberries, blackberries and grapes to start with. I ran the water pressure at 20 psi for 6 hour cycles on Mon., Wed. and Fri. of each week. It took only two cycles and ground was damp the complete width of each row. I have now been running this setup for several weeks and then decided to cut back the cycle time from 6 hours to 4 hours and it seems to be maintaining the right amount of moisture for my plants. I have only been having temps in the upper 70's at this point but as the temp goes up to the high 90's in my area I will have the ability to add more hours to the cycle time if needed.
I am very pleased with this system and it has turned out to be much simpler than I expected. I have cut back on water use by a huge amount. Previously I was using soaker hoses to do my watering and they would split and then the running water would wash out a area and then I would have a mess to clean up. It was hard to control the amount of water applied as sometimes they wouldn't let much water flow, then I had to turn up the pressure and then it would flow too much and or split. I always had to adjust the water flow to meet my needs. So far I have saved several hours of work (each week) in my garden. I am expecting this work saving will continue as I am not expecting to have to tackle as many weeds as in the past because the water is more controllable and not running where I don't need or want it.
