The DMX 1-step has been installed in my cellar for a few weeks now. It was easy to install and cut as needed.
The tape that was supplied was also easy work with.
After putting my carpet tiles on top of the pad, I noticed that the padding added a nice cushion which is an added benefit.
My main reason for adding this product was to reduce the dampness in my cellar and this product produced very good results.
The product meets my expectations and I would recommend it.

dmx 1 step carpet pad Its really hard to say how good of a product it is when the basement is not having any water problems at the time....I like the concept of it tho. It does make the floor have a crinkly sound when it's walked on, so that would be my only disappointment with it so far

Arrived before scheduled day. Installation was easy. Feels good as an underlayment, a lil squeek here or there but nothing worse than a hardwood floor. Haven’t had any water in the basement where it was installed so cannot comment on that yet.

The product itself was VERY easy to use. I have just installed it so I am not sure if it is going to meet my expectations. The only negative was that it took way too long to get - almost a month! So my entire project was behind because of that delay.

The best purchase I've made in years.I put this down on concrete with carpet tiles over. And I'm SO happy.For the price of basic underlayment, you get air circulation that reduces the risk of mold, and an amazingly soft cushion under your carpeting.

Of course it doesn’t have the feel of regular padding but it still feels good underfoot. Used instead of regular padding because we have multiple dogs and I liked the idea of air circulation underneath. It was easy to work with.

Home Depot will NOT install this product. I bought the product however had to find my own carpet installer. Home Depot currently has a free installation promotion however this product does not qualify

Easy to install yourself. Softness is comparable to the standard carpet pad. Very thin but it was softer under foot than I thought it would be. I would suggest gluing down the ends of each roll however. The stiff plastic likes to curl up and put a bubble in your carpet.

This is a fantastic product that I found and researched (extensively) for our basement. We have a poured concrete basement that is dry but when we went to move the carpet around you could smell the mildew. I looked at a variety of underlayments and this is by far the best choice. Its unique with its design and we were able to forego the cost of carpet padding on top of the 1-step carpet since it provided enough cushion. Even our carpet installer was impressed with the product and wanted to know more about how it works.
Very easy to install and trim around baseboard and other obstacles in the basement. Taping it was simple as well and didn't require any special tools.
I would definitely recommend this is for a basement remodel if you are putting carpet in vs. tile.

Performed as described. Easy to cut. Easy to tape seams. Sturdy yet soft for under the carpet.
Wrapped myself in the leftovers to improve airflow and help dissipate moisture. Appreciate the anti-mold properties.
