I have 50 amp service to an outlet box. I hooked up the 50 amp cord and turned the key, the generator started instantly. It ran EVERTHING that we wanted. At the time of the power outage there was a load of wet towels in the clothes dryer. We ran the dryer, no problem at all. If you want an easy way to power your whole house, get this generator and the 50 amp service, hook up one cord and you’re done. The generator is easy to move around, not that heavy at all and holds a lot of gas. Excellent generator.

This dependable workhorse run reasonably quiet starts on the second pull. If you were expecting to start it with the key right out of the box you're in for a surprise! This Duromax 12000 E is factory shipped with the battery disconnected, naturally. First remove black battery access plate. Then fish out the negative cable that is tucked away on the side with handles on top of the generator cover. This not mentioned in the manual. On another matter...the white closed cell foam pad provided to rest generator on during leg assembly, SAVE IT, it makes for an excellent knee pad when gardening.

This generator came through for us. It easily supported our well pump, 2 refrigerators, 2 TVs, 2 DVDs, and a few low power accessories such as chargers and a fluorescent light. Easy to set up, start, change oil, and gas up. Ran 13.5 hours on a single tank supporting this list before I gave up and refilled it.

Packaged very well, good instructions and powered our entire 34' travel trailer with ease - including the air conditioning! Performed as advertised - starting easily, runs quiet and is pretty fuel efficient for a larger generator of this size. We've owned and ran this generator pretty much every single day for the last 2 months without an issue.
Home Depot provided fantastic customer service and they were excellent deal with - getting the generator in 2 days sooner than expected! Thank you!!

disappointed.
bought it for hurricane Irma. It worked well for 7 days and after that, it shut off un expectedly. when I looked to see what had happen I saw that the coil that goes to the inverter it was shredded. Don't really know what went wrong but is going back to the store.
