The product is very good value for money and a must have for people looking to save time.
As students, me and my husband wanted a temporary and effective solution to save time and money (spent on eating out due to dirty dishes). This product has made it possible. When we got the portable dishwasher, we were skeptical about it fitting into our small living space. It did, and very well. The quality of the product is exemplary with SS interior and plastic exterior. The top acts as an additional counter space and easily cleanable. It fit into our kitchen tap perfectly too. The wheels allow it to be moved around the kitchen to act as a portable counter space and can be stowed away when not needed. The fact that this has a built in hard waste dispenser is a bonus, which means we use this product as a convenience rather than a maintenance liability. The only recommendation I'd have is to leave the door slightly ajar when not in use to keep from smell buildup.

No problems at all, amazing capacity
We have a 4 year old built-in in a rental and a 3 year old portable in our home. We have had no problems with either one, and find they are very suitable for a 2 person household. They do run for a long time on the higher cycles, but we seldom use them, as dishes clean well even on the light load setting.

Works great but the connections could be stronger
We've had our unit since July 2013 and it's been working great. Not too loud and runs for about 2 hours on normal cycle. The only complaint is the connection hose is not very strong. Be gentle and grab the connections by the hose part and not the connectors because ours broke. It's just plastic. It was a hassle getting the hose changed with the new plastic connector, but way cheaper than buying another unit when this one is still running and it was just the broken hose. It's smaller than regular unit and perfect for a family of 2 or 3. The spacing between the plates are a good size; not too small and not too big.

We are a family of two and this works, so well for us. I now don't mind cooking as much, because clean up isn't as much of a hassle. We have a very small 1920's kitchen and this takes up very little room. We love it and will never go without one again.

Very convenient in an apartment, but short life
Excellent performance and convenience for 2.5 years, then the electronics module apparently failed. That item is so expensive to replace that service doesn't make sense. Built-ins often last 10+ years without expensive service...sometimes 15 or even 20...so we didn't expect this one to be so short-lived, given its initial cost.

          Pretty good value
Size is great for small space. Easy to unpack for use. Came with broken caster. Not sure if shipping or mfg issue or packing, but Danby sent me free replacement one. Once I got to start it after waiting for the caster, it works well but also seems to require rinse aid for optimal water shed on plastics on top rack. Seems like the cycle length on economy and intensive are same. About 2 hours or maybe longer.

Works better than expected; very happy!
This Danby portable dishwasher cleans as good or better than our built in at our primary residence. We are also very pleased with how quiet it is and how easy it is to move around. We also found Home Depot to have the best price even with the cost to have it shipped; all in all a great purchase.

Not owned long enough to determine a higher OVERALL RATING
Time of operation is well over one hour, (my previous GE dishwasher took 40 minutes.) The manual with this unit is not well organized---with some incorrect page# references. Other than that, the dishwasher appears satisfactory.

              Sent back.
We had it delivered because we don't have a vehicle large enough to haul it home. Once it came we couldn't even hooked it up. It came with broken feet, it was dented, the top was broken and it was moist and mildewy. We called immediately and had them come pick it up.

              Excellent product!
We had to wait several weeks to order this product due to production. When it arrived, it was just like we ordered. We took it home, unpacked it, hooked it up and ran a load of dishes. Works great!

              Totally Awesome
Great dishwasher! Never had one before that used salt, but it softens the water making the dishes cleaner. In short, totally awesome.

Whoa! Nobody expects this level of performance.
I've yet to perform the operation, but I'm implanting this machine in my Depression-Era cabinet space. It's a worthy rig. Stainless Steel insides, utilitarian outsides... stealth mode. No membrane keypad trash. Two clicky switch buttons and a dial knob with solid locks. The bright indicator LEDs tell you what's going on. You get an internal water softener that uses a fill of Water Softener-grade rock salt via the included funnel (we NEED that here in Utah) and all of the features that fit between "Apartment Dishwasher" (from the same subspecies that made windowless ovens a thing) and the high end stuff with bells and whistles that lasts for decades. There are two nameplates slapped on these, as of now, that cost $150-250 more. I'm looking at you, "Fridgy" and "Kenny". I only down-rated the Features by a point because it would be so nice to have a countdown timer of some kind to tell me how long I had left on a cycle. The Dry mode uses residual heat so opening the door a crack after the drip-drain helps quite a bit. Granted, I'm biased by my Engineering perspective: For as cheap as is is to add a micro-controller and an LED countdown display, it should be first-nature to add those. When the last LED at the Right of the LED row is blinking, watch and wait for the drip-drip rinse water to get pumped out. That's key. Once that happens, you can click-click the power switch button and open the door to let the steamy residual-heat-dry ensue. If you wait for the beeper to sound off, you'll have to rag-dry most dishes. This is a big reason why I wish there was a numerical countdown timer. I might hack one in, but that's just me. Having said that, it's just a good rig that you'll be able to get spare parts for. Despite being made in Foshan, China, it's not disposable. As for the implant? It's not as wide as a normal portable dishwasher. Yeah, that's a given, since it's part of the tech specs. In implant-form, it's also not as deep-set. Now we're talking! Most dishwashers I've researched wanted countertops with a 26-28" depth. This one is physically 21" deep on the casing and 32" tall without the wheels. My countertop is 22" deep and 33.5" high because the 1930s were so weird. I can't go deeper than 24" on the counters without re-sizing a wall and doorway. The hoses on the faucet adapter are a standard size and can be attached to your supply and drain with minimal effort. You don't even need a garbage disposal since the filters catch the nasty stuff, but you really should have one anyway for a lot of other reasons. If you have an older house, this is pretty much the only good dishwasher that will fit without a ridiculous remodel job. And it's really not /that/ small. The only thing I can't wash in this is a big cookie sheet I have. Yes, it will take my gigantic Calphalon Wok. I will make one dead-serious recommendation: Those plastic "Tupperware" containers made by Glad/Ziploc, and/or Rubbermaid... ditch them. Go Pyrex. The Specific Heat of the glass will help the dry time and they aren't damaged by microwaving. I have Pyrex gear that's 40 years old and still looks new. It's worth the cost and the weight. Your Grandma knew full well what she was doing when she locked and loaded with Pyrex back in the day. The bottom rack is 13.75" wide x 18.75" deep x 11.5" high. There is no stupid water column in the center of the bottom rack like your apartment "dishwasher". The water to the top rack is piped from the back. That's a Big Deal. The top rack is 12" wide x 14" deep x 6" high at minimum. There's variable space. I'm talking worst-case scenario. "Under-promise and over-deliver." is my personal philosophy. Relative to my prior dishwasher experiences, I find myself running 1/3 more loads than I did with a full-size unit. That's remarkable (because Math). Going from 24" to 18" case size already drops by 33%, but the wall thickness takes that down further. 13.75" wide on an 18" wide case. Your normal unit would have a rack 6" wider by default, at 19.75." 13.75/19.75. That's 43% wider on the big one. The depth is a couple inches more on a big one, too. But a big one will not fit in small houses like mine. If you have the space required and don't want to wheel your dishwasher around, get a bigger one. If you need something you can wheel around like a boss, get this one. If you have a tiny kitchen that can't take a full-size, integrated dishwasher, this is gold. Cosmetically, there were "birth marks" on the front sheet metal. I expected that. The test water also hydrated the generously-thick 1.375 inch top deck to the extent it cracked slightly at the back, but I really don't care about that since it's coming off for the countertop integration. As for energy, I wish I could find my Kill-A-Watt and get a set of figures on that front, but for what it's worth, I've run my microwave, countertop oven (not a toaster oven), and this dishwasher on the same 115V 20A circuit at the same time without a breaker trip. That's really cool. Rock on. - Fryode - ---|>|---

              So far, so great
We've had about 15 wash cycles with this so far. No leaks from the faucet adapter nor the machine itself. All the dishes come out clean and it works exactly as dishwashers are advertised, which is why I gave it 5 stars. I'm sure there are models/brands with more bells and whistles but this does the job and saves me hours of doing dishes in the sink. I'm saving way more water than I was before and the price was right. Plus, it provides much needed counter space. So far, I'm very happy with my purchase...

                it worked for 19 months
it worked for 19 months, i called the customer service and i used their recommended technicians... They came and they said that everybody have the same issue sooner then later It wasn't draining and the technician said that if not the pump you better buy a new one as these machines can't be fixed....well it was not the pump so i had to trash it. The customer service was only able to offer me a 15% discount on a new purchase .... no thanks, i try a different brand

                  It came, it was screwy.
When I got it, it was wet on the inside of the box somehow. Then, one wheel was already broken off (unrepairable) and another one slips right out. the other two seem to be fine, but its difficult to move with only 2 functioning wheels. I called for replacement parts, THAT day, and i still haven't gotten an email, call, or package with the spare parts. To me, that's just a big middle finger in my face. Aside from the customer service, the dishwasher is a bit smaller than i thought it would be, but i guess thats my fault. I was under the impression there was a drying feature, but i haven't seen them dry yet. Maybe I just misread the discription.... I'm okay with it I guess. I dont think I'd order this brand again though.

                  Arrived with broken wheel
This is our second Danby portable dishwasher. Silly to repurchase when the first one lasted only 2 years. And the first one had a missing part to boot. While unpacking the newest one, we noticed puddles of water at the bottom of the packaging and drips coming from the inside. Plain laziness kept me from hauling it right back to Home Depot. And then one of the rear wheels was smashed. It has been over a month and the Danby rep said the part is on backorder. Home Depot does not allow returns on special orders, so, there you go.

                    Perfect!
I have a 3 bedroom home but with a small kitchen. This is perfect for my kitchen, especially with 2 teens that got "fired" because they didn't want to do dishes. So it's made my life so much easier!

                      Great Bargain
Came with the wheels already attached. Works great so far. It is rather small but it is right for the price and is what I needed for my kitchen. My only complaints on the product are the instructions. There really weren't any. There were but they didn't answer any of the questions that I had. But with some online searching and trial and error, it was easily looked past. Machine is great for the price.

                          Happy with my purchase
My husband and I live in an apartment and finally decided to invest in a portable dishwasher. Did a bunch of research and stumbled upon this machine. We opted to pick it up from the store, which worked out for the better so we could have our family members help bring it up the stairs. The cord and water hose were oddly packed in the back of the machine so we had to take the back panel off to fix. Wasn't that big of a deal. The first time we used it, worked like a charm. It isn't loud, the cycle is pretty quick and the dishes came out perfectly clean. I personally like the machine and would suggest it to anyone looking for a compact dishwasher.

                          A Pleasant Surprise
Never have I seen a machine clean dishes so well! Any prep involving scraping anything burned on is unnecessary. Baking pans, dried anything, burned anything just turn out perfectly after a "normal" cycle. This is with no rinse agent or water softener. I tried an old cat dish that should have been thrown out and it came out like new. Go get one.

I love this for our 5th wheel! It has worked well so far...only have done 4 washes though. My only complaints is that I wish it had longer connection hoses and one of the c-clips on the wheels was broken upon arrrival. But a quick trip to Home Depot replaced the c-clip and works just fine.
