This is an excellent light if you are mounting it to a wall. If you need to mount it to an eve, then it's not so good.

A part of my backyard is pitch black and I had some vandalism at the start of the 2021 summer. I installed a smart box in a 4" hole I drilled into my garage wall near the top of the wall under the eave. Wired from an internal wall socket I was able to have a box that is flush with the siding. Mounting this light onto this box then was easy without needing a seal. All of my lights on my home are sealed with silicone to prevent water intrusion, just like the windows and doors. I set the sensitivity on medium and each time my neighbor lets his dog out the light comes on and stays on for 20 minutes. This is to protect my property and so far it is helping.

Motion detector does not work.

The light is fine however, for those that want a soffet mounted install, do not use this version. The lights themselves are not able to bend enough when the unit is mounted under a soffet. This is best suited for a wall mount application.

Lights are not as bright previous Defiant security system

These fixtures provide excellent bright white light, the installation was easy and the pieces fit well. They do not require wire nuts to connect to house power. My only complaint so far is the limited range of motion for the three lamp heads. I have gutter downspouts that interfere with projection of light due to restricted side to side and up-down adjustability of the LED panels.

Was an easy install to replace an existing light . I love the dusk to dawn feature and the dual brightness. It gives low light until motion is detected and will get brighter .

Sensor is easy to set. Light is bright which is what I needed.
