2 years and still going strong
I've had this outdoor led light blazing my back yard now for over 2 years. Easy installation, no issues, and lights up the whole back yard nicely. Just finally got around to ordering my 2nd one that'll be installed on the other side of the back patio. Great dependable, no frills product.

Easy install, suitably bright enough, well built, we installed it on the front of a carnival food...
Easy install, suitably bright enough, well built, we installed it on the front of a carnival food trailer to get an equal 180 degree distribution of light to back light a 3 sided marquee sign, it worked out very well. I would say it was about equally as bright as 2 60 watt incandescent flood lamps. I gave 5 stars because it did exactly what was advertised, nothing more, nothing less.

Great light - bright and easy to install. Up just a week but it does throw a lot of light and looks clean - easy install.
The only negative is that it doesn't adjust left-right. Although the spread is wide, it would have been nice to push more light to one side. Not a show stopper just a minor point.
I would recommend and let's hope it lasts a long time.

Switched light
This light is super easy to install. The backplate screws to the wall (or electrical box) and electrical connections are made on the backplate. You then simply hold the light in place and tighten a single screw to connect the light to the backplate. No fiddling trying to make electrical connections with one hand while holding the light in place with the other. All wall lights should be made this way.
The LED housing is metal and feels substantial. You can adjust (up or down) each of the LED fittings independently. The LEDs cast a 180 degree left to right throw and require no adjustment.
This light does not have a motion or dawn-to-dusk sensor, nor can one be added to the fixture. You control this light with a switch, or via an outlet that is switched with an independent motion or dawn-to-dusk sensor.
It is very stylish for a all light and creates a nice even 18- degree throw of light.

Exceeded my expectations
This security light is so much better than I thought it was going to be. The instructions are easy to understand but I am well versed in the electrical field so that helps. It says it takes about 30 minutes to install, but it took me 15 minutes tops and that involved removing the existing light on a current junction box and includes grabbing tools, installing, testing, and clean up. I love the look of this thing, I love how easy it is to adjust the positions of the lights up or down, and I really love how bright it is! It not only lights up my upper deck, it lights up the backyard.
The only negative feedback I could give, if I would even call it that, would be that the manual calls it a "motion security light" and no where in the documentation does this say it has motion sensors, which is kind of misleading. It does not say anywhere on the box it has a motion sensor and I didn't think it was anyway and didn't really care if it was or not.

Great Light, nice and bright with a whitish light. These defiant lights are well made and the way that you attach the plate to your box and then basically "plug" in the fixture is really handy. Your're not having to hold the whole unit as you connect the wires , they are connected to the base that you install first. There is one thing that I wish Defiant would do. That is design the unit so that you could spread the lights out from side to side like the ones with the motion detector on it. The lights do adjust up and down which is nice. I have a need for 2 lights on m y corner of the house and if they would "wrap" around I'd be at HD tomorrow buying them. Overall these are GREAT lights.

Not Just Security Light, Good as a task light as well
Without a motion detector, this is purely a switched security style light. The coverage is good and sustainability from straight out to about 45 degrees down. I tried to capture this in photos.
The mount system is really nice for this light. The base can be screwed in place and wired without holding the weight of the light. Then the light screws into the base and pins make connection with pins.
I mounted this base to a large magnet and wired to a long cord. This has allowed me to mount on steel sections for task lighting. I could see using this over a work bench area for a nice wide light in a work area. The adjustability makes it more flexible than the intended use.
