The cartridge that I purchased from Home Depot was returned...
The cartridge that I purchased from Home Depot was returned in favor of the free one that Delta sent me upon receiving my email inquiry. The cartridge that Delta sent was identical to the one I purchased so I feel that it would have worked just as well.

Delta Universal Shower Valve
About 5 years ago I installed my Delta "Ara" shower mixing valve and diverter valve. Then 3 weeks agp I lost pressure on the hot water side. I emailed Delta with a question regarding the cartridge and 5 days later received a new cartridge in the mail, free of charge. I replaced the cartridge and all is wonderful now! Thank you Delta!!

Great Replacement
I watched a video from Delta that told me how to take the faucet apart in order to find out the part number. After receiving the ordered part, I then watched the video and was able to change the Delta - RP46463 myself without needing to call a plumber. Delta is a great company. Thank you!

Installed Delta cartridge and works great! I first bought a cheap knock off cartridge and had to replace within 2 months! Get what you pay for.

The cartridge was the correct replacement and cured the dripping...
The cartridge was the correct replacement and cured the dripping when shut-off issue of the original cartridge.
It does seem to flow slightly less volume than the original as noted by others.
Home Depot price is a significant savings over purchasing from Delta.

Works as described
It's been a couple of weeks and so far no leaks. The other one was only 5 years old though. Other delta facets in our home are over 30 years old with no issues. Afraid to update because new ones won't last.

My shower fixture was dripping constantly so I ordered a new cartridge which came with new spring and seal assembly. Problem solved! Difficulty of repair in my opinion is between easy and intermediate. Getting the cartridge out can be tricky just be patient.

No water pressure compared to old delta valve more like a mister
I would like to purchase a valve with original water pressure, this valve that came with a new shower is worthless, more like an outdoor mister, I do not take long showers just would like enough pressure to get the dirt off.
Where can I an older normal flow Delta valve? Fergusons?

Hello Chuck, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review of the Delta Faucet model RP46463. I am sorry to hear you have low water flow. I know that can be frustrating. We are happy to help. As the manufacturer, we are committed to supplying you with a quality product that delivers the expected performance. A MultiChoice valve using this cartridge should provide well over 4 GPM even at a low 40 psi water pressure. I recommend flushing the valve with the cartridge and adapter removed and confirming there is a good hot and cold water supply getting to the valve. Because the cartridge is pressure balanced, there needs to be water pressure on both supplies. Also check that the pressure balancing cylinder moves freely or rattles inside the cartridge.
