  • Quiet Fan

A very quiet fan. Buyer beware however, this fan is really meant for new construction. I replaced an existing fan and had to modify in order to install from below. The fan housing has mounting wings on both sides that makes it impossible to just slide up into the opening. I had to saw mine off in order to insert in the opening. It would have been easier from above except this was a first floor bath with no access from above. It does run nicely and very quietly.

  • No way 80 CFM bad moisture sensor
  • January 03, 2017

Had this thing about 8 months. Within which my home was tested, specifically this fan for proper ventilation as part of an energy assistance program. Aside from barely hearing the thing turn on which is a good thing. It became more and more useless as time went on. It never reduced steam in a 60 sf bathroom which according to specs. 80 cfms should more than handle. I was disappointed to say the least. The only positive was the led light.

  • So Worth It

My husband and I are renovating our recently purchased modular home and finding a fan/light combo has been a challenge. We have no attic space and our roof joists aren't spaced the same as a traditionally built home. Needless to say our install wasn't quite as easy as we had hoped (based on other reviews and the product discription). We had to disassemble the fan and motor from the case/housing and cut into the drywall ceiling for the housing to slide into place. Placement of the holding tabs and screw holes to attach the unit to our only available joist also provided a fun challange (it'd be great if there were tabs and anchor points on more than one side of the housing for those whose access areas are on the opposite side). A trip or two on the roof was necessary, but expected, to attach the vent ducting and to do some creative securing of the housing. Our install definitely required some forethought. That said...when we wired it all up and flipped the switch we knew it was all worth it. The light is very bright and the fan is very quiet. A huge improvement from the cheap, loud fan that was there before that had no light and made taking a shower a creepy experience (like showering in a dark cave). The word "wow" was uttered everytime one of us entered the room for the first few days after install (we're still finishing up the reno). A FANtastic addition with great lighting. Who woulda thought we'd be so excited about a bathroom fan?!

  • Easy to install and quiet!

Own a very old home with plaster walls and ceilings. Needed a bathroom exhaust fan to remove moisture when shower is running. The instructions were clear and the fan was relatively easy to install (attaching directly to a joist). While a small bathroom, perhaps not enough cfms to keep up with moisture from shower but much better than before. Easily connected with insulated flexible ducting to a soffit vent. Very quiet!

This is my second Delta fan in two years. I thought maybe the 1st one was under sized for our bathroom and that was why steam was always present. Not sure now. This new fan is rated for a bathroom much larger than we have. Our room is 5'x7'. Exhaust tube goes straight up through the attic to the roof 4'. This fan looks good and is quiet. So far, 99% of the time, there is no steam on the mirror after showers. Sometime there is. Not sure why. I do not regret the purchase and would recommend it to others.

  • Exhaust fan & light, bathroom

Fan is quiet, light is florescent not very bright for fixing your makeup. I use it as a night light. One electrical circuit can be used for light and fan or a circuit for each can be used. Easy to install in hole of previously installed fan. Check measurements to compare size. Electrical input on one side of unit, air exhaust on opposite side. Good volume of air flow for 5 X 8 foot bathroom. Go to manufactures web site to determine volume of air flow needed for your room size and find needed fan unit in chart.
