This bathroom faucet by Delta (model 500-DST) is the single handle variety in chrome. The pop-up drain portion and associated parts were not included, but it does have the lift rod hole on the backside, so it can be added optionally if desired. The hot and cold water lines are plastic, and permanently attached to the faucet underside. Installation was typical, with no snags. This replaced an old bathroom faucet from the 1960s, and gave the old sink a nice looking update. Fit nicely too.

This is a pretty good bathroom faucet, if you are anything like me you will love it like I do because I am always doing something and what ever it is I usually have something on my hands that I need to wash off and the single handle on this Classic 4 in. centerset single handle bathroom faucet is just what you need, because you do not have to grab the handle the way you do when turning on a faucet with knobs, very good feature, and anyone with any kind of hand limitations would find this faucet very easy to turn on or off, it is a plus for small children also, you just simply gently tilt it up for on and down for off, veer to the left for hot and to the right for cold, it is also very easy to install also just remove it from the box slide it in the holes tighten it on the body and then the hoses which are attached already they are slightly long but just loop the hose to shorten it, if that is the case the pamphlet shows you that in the instructions, both ends of the hoses or 3/8 fittings

Since I have been putting off redoing my powder room I really can't comment on this faucet too much until I start on the project in a month or two to see how the water flow is and the mechanics of it to give it a good or bad review. Too much on my plate right now. It looks well made and is all chrome ( except on the bottom of the spout which is plastic. I like the idea of the built in PEX lines. Looks like an easy hookup. They make the PEX lines long enough to reach down to your water valves that could be about 18" below the faucet itself. You will need a 3 hole sink top to install this. Although I have a 2 hole sink top I will be drilling a 3rd hole in the middle with a hole saw. Everything is included in the box for the install. Delta has been around for as long as I can remember. There is a hole in the back of the faucet for a pop up rod and drain which I intend to use. From what I can see you can't shorten the PEX lines if they are too long just make a circle as small or large as you desire and hook up to water valves. Also the price seems reasonable for this type of faucet.

I really like this faucet. The installation was not bad at all. It came with the supply lines already attached to the faucet and they were labeled already hot and cold. That’s part of the job complete. The plastic faucet nuts that hold it in place we’re easy to install yet solid. Seems pretty sturdy and the head it comes with is good also. Releases a sufficient amount of water while at the same time it’s a water saver head. Good balance. The single lever is awesome and smooth as can be. It really gave a nicer look to the vanity.

Not Delta’s best bathroom faucet
Last summer our landlord had Plummer replace bathroom faucet with this model 500-DST. It works fine except the aerator keeps falling out. There is special wrench to tighten it on, which we do, again and again and again. I don’t know why it hasn’t stripped out, we have tightened it with all our strength, and it falls out again in a few days or maybe a week. Drives us crazy, we keep the wrench next to our toothbrushes!

    Rusted apart in 5 years
Horizontal rod, part rp12517 on model 500-dst That raises and lowers the stopper rusted-broke in two after 5 years. Checked the other faucet on the other side of vanity and it was ready to fail also. Old delta faucets that were replaced were still good after 32 years. Poor product that is way over priced!

I got this faucet to replace an old unit that was way too hard to operate. It was the ball "knob" type that was hard to both turn on and difficult to readjust the temperature with wet hands. This Delta CHROME SINGLE-HANDLE BATHROOM FAUCET with single lever control is so much easier to operate! It appears to be constructed all in metal, not plastic, so it should provide many years of use with out problems. I did-not find a matching drain Push-Pull rod with the new faucet however. Fortunately, the old faucet rod looked as though it wold/could belong with the new unit, so I just reused it.

I'm redoing the faucets in all of my bathrooms and this has a classic look and appears to be very durable and sturdy...it doesn't look or feel cheap. It's set up to conserve water, so if you want a powerful stream, don't get it. However, the flow is adequate. I'm very satisfied with this one and it didn't take a long time to install. I would recommend this one without hesitation.

This is a nice-looking faucet, but I would recommend you spend a bit more to get a real metal finish. This faucet is pretty much entirely plastic, except for the handle. I've seen faucets for less money that were all metal and had a heftier weight to them. Having said that, once it's installed you can't really tell it's plastic, and I don't have any reason to suspect the finish will be a problem - I've had chrome-look plastic faucets before whose finish has lasted 10+ years. Installation was pretty straightforward - the plastic components used nowadays for the nuts actual make installs easier. I happened to have a leftover drain stopper and pop-up from another faucet, fortunately - this faucet doesn't come with those parts. I was a bit nervous cutting the pex supply lines, but it worked out pretty easily. You pretty much have to cut the lines with any install, since they aren't flexible enough to bend around in a circle like the more traditional stainless lines are. The main annoyance I've had with it - it only turns off properly if you push the handle down exactly in the center position. Other, higher quality faucets we have are down anywhere along the range from cold to hot, so you don't have to be very precise about how you turn it off. Consequently, with this faucet I end up leaving it dripping on the first attempt. I'll probably get used to it, but it seems to be a poorer design. It also doesn't put out much water when you have it on, but I presume that could be fixed by using a different aerator, if desired.

Installed this faucet in the upstairs guest bathroom last week; after using it for a week now, I couldn't be happier. A nice-looking, easy-to-clean finish ...a great upgrade from the builder-grade faucet we replaced. The installation was easy ...it actually took longer to remove the old faucet than it did to install the new one! The handle operates smoothly and feels like a well-made faucet. Would definitely recommend.

Buy this if you are NOT a plumber!
I'm not a plumber and did not go to grad school to become one. However, Delta always makes a great product that anyone can install themselves...no teflon tape, but don't forget the vice grips.

            Kids bathroom
I got two of these for a kids bathroom, because I thought an inexpensive single handle would be the right choice. It is not what you would call elegant, but it is functional. I got this, mostly, because of Delta's good reputation, and lifetime guaranty. No problems so far in 2 years, hoping for at least 20 more!
