I looked at this Dryden Faucet for months before finally making the purchase. My hesitation was that I planned to install it on a pedestal sink in our half bathroom. I wasn’t sure if everything would fit in the confined space of the pedestal.
Despite having considerably more parts than a regular faucet, the installation was rather easy. I did however run into two issues. The first issue is minor in my opinion. I had to use the included escutcheon plate since my sink has three holes. The plate has a type of foam padding on the bottom. I had to trim the foam otherwise there would have been a substantial gap between the plate and the sink. Even after trimming the foam there is still a slight gap but again this is just a minor issue.
The second issue is more design related. The last part of the install is the pop-up assembly. This faucet is very stylish but that style affects function. The lift rod for the pop-up is hard to reach, but the real issue is that the lift rod and lever for the pop-up are all in the same area as the solenoid assembly. I’m not saying it wouldn’t have worked but it felt like a bad design. My solution for all this was to ditch the pop-up assembly that came with the faucet and replace it with a push pop-up drain. I purchased a matching Delta push pop-up drain. This of course was an added expense. Personally I think this type of faucet (with touch function) should come with a push pop-up drain.
As far as function, this faucet has worked perfectly. The sensing field is just right. You can stand in front of the mirror, even lean in towards it but the water only comes on when your hands are within a couple of inches of the spout. Being that this faucet is in a half bath, it’s mainly used for quick hand washing. The water runs just long enough to do the job. When you need the water to run longer you just touch the faucet. The touch has worked flawlessly thus far. There have been no phantom on/offs.
Just to mention, this worked out well on our pedestal sink. The battery pack rest on the floor but hidden within the pedestal. You can see the water lines but only if you purposely kneel down and look behind the sink. In spite of the issues I mention, we are very happy with this faucet. I purchased the matching toilet lever and towel ring to complete the look and love it all.
We installed two of these in a guest bathroom but never used them until I needed to move to this bathroom. Discovered the hot water never comes on, and miss this for washing my face.
Your info online and installers manual don’t say anything about hot water. Please solve this mystery.

I'm happy that you love the Delta faucet. Thanks so much for sharing!
I have had my touch for 3 or 4 years now I Love it , I only use the touch part the touchless part no longer works. Not sure why it has both on there only wanted the touch. Have changed the batteries only one time. I am getting ready to remodel my other bathroom and I will be buying one of these to be installed.

Looks nice, LED Water temp indicator is nice, drip
Too many hoses and wires down the single center hole, needs some way to organize them so that they don't rub against the drain lever linkage, one of the lines that connects to the solenoid is too short making the issue with the drain lever linkage even worse. The Solenoid leaked after one day and would either drip or leave a constant stream of water when the water was supposed to be stopped, a replacement was shipped to me and after a few days it is working better but I have seen it drip sometimes when it should be off, most of the time the water does shut off completely. I guess we shall see over time how long it lasts. Maybe the solenoid requires cleaner water than my town provides, there is a small screen in the solenoid input, maybe an in-line filter like the kind used for ice makers would help but I see no way to hook up something like that to the faucet. I do like the look of the faucet and I like the LED that is blue with cold water and turns purple when the water gets warm.

Thank you for taking the time out to provide feedback on the Delta product. I'm very sorry for the issues you have with the faucet. If the drip occurs again I would suggest cleaning the debris screen and checking the top of the solenoid. Please reach out to us again if further assistance is needed. We are always here to help.

Liked it however...
This is a beautiful faucet. The touch aspect of the faucet still works however, the motion sensor stopped working about 2mths into using it and we did have the problem of it turning on and off by itself when it did work.
