Customer Reviews for DIABLO 7-1/4in. 24-Teeth Demo Demon Framing/Demolition Circular Saw Blade for Wood

I bought this blade along with the spyder framing/construction blade for hacking up skids and scrap wood for the fire pit. I purchased the spyder blade some time last year and have been using it hard. I know this blade (demo demon) is designed to go through nail embedded wood and read alot of reviews of doing so, but just out of habit I try to avoid nails. I put this blade on last week to give it a shot and cut up 3 skids. The first one was great, cut through no problem the second one was the same until about half way through. This skid was repaired a few times and I hit a nail or 2 that was under the surface wood. After that it was much harder to get through, so after I finished I checked out the blade and found 3 teeth broken off! I was not impressed but had the final one to cut yet and it was starting to rain so I left the blade in and after I was done there were 5 teeth completely gone from the weld/brazing and 11 that were chipped or cracked completely missing over half the tooth. I have used many saw blades over the years and many of my "good" blades are Diablo/ Freud blades that I've used for years because of the quality. This one must have slipped through the quality control or maybe a bad batch of welds/teeth. The spyder demo blade has been through a lot of skids catching a nail or two and no damage except for side surface wear from the friction. I would like to get this blade replaced by Diablo and give it another try but not sure how they are with them. I've never had an issue with a saw blade before.

I was in very impressed with this blade. I cut through nails and shingles and cut the entire roof off my garage with one blade.

Greatest blade

It was a couple Dollars more, I figured taking hardwood floor up it will help having a great blade. I made 10, 4 foot cuts and blade fried. I made last cut and blew my breaker

This blade did GREAT in nail embeded wood! Even cut through a nail long ways like butter!

Like all Freud products this one doesn't disappoint. It cuts with less effort and is very beneficial to cordless saws. My experience with blade involved the Milwaukee M18 fuel 7 1/4 circular saw. I found the saw tracked straighter with less effort. As to the longevity of this blad

Feels comfortable and accurate with freehand cuts. I'm almost positive, there's not as much debris flying in my face. Which is great for demo. The pics are fence panels that I cut while they were standing up. I also cut stringers already attached to the fence, that poked out the side of a fence panel, standing up. Blade cut with accurate, smooth motion. Last pic is some random old platform I found--powerful, clean, straight cut.

received about 2 months ago. could not wait to try! performed fabulously. stood up, and cut clean. have many more projects to use on. Great!

Using it for reclaiming braces off of construction. This stuff is hard on blades nails rocks etc. Very happy with the performance of the blade

I used this blade to cut out an old floor, with 2 layers of tiles, 2 layers of sheet goods, plywood, and tongue and groove sub-floor. The room was 12'x14', and I cut out 2'x3' pieces. Blade cut right through everything including nails, screws, and tile. The blade still has a lot of life left in it and was a good value. Look at the picture to see how many layers I had to cut I would definitely recommend this blade.

I needed a new blade for cutting wood for a Fish Cutting & Cleaning Table so I purchased the Diablo Blade.

I've been framing, building decks and porches, and doing rehab for around 6 years now and have used any sawblade you think of. Freud Diablo blades are hands down the best around! They're great for fast, clean cuts and will eat through nearly anything you put in front of it! The Demo Deamon saw blades really live up to their name with totally unbeatable wear and durability. I highly recommend these blades to anybody who wants to save money and maximize production. I wont spend my money on any other saw blade!!

This is a very well designed blade with very thin kerf. It is designed to be used with a circular 5/8 in. arbors spindle or the diamond shaped mounts. If your saw demands a diamond shaped hole in the blade you first have to twist out the center of this blade. Not too hard and I was able to do it with a screwdriver and a pair of pliers. Note that if you have a saw with the blade on the left, you should mount this with the writing to the inside of the saw. That is to do with the saw, not the blade. This blade sails through wood very well, the thin kerf has a lot to do with that. The hole left in the wood is just over 2mm wide! I have not had to cut through nails yet, I try to avoid that as much as I can.

Diablo blade is amazing

best blade ive ever used.

Worked well cutting through 3 layers of subfloor and underlayment with screws/nails.

I've had a cordless saw for almost ten years and never thought about replacing the original blade until I had to cut some sheets of OSB flooring to size. This Diablo blade sure seemed to chew thru the heavy wood more efficiently than my worn-out blade. I also did some cuts on 2x4 and other materials and it definitely was an improvement.

Love Diablo blades. We’ve used these before and they are excellent blades.

We used it to cut into asphalt shingles and plywood in remodels. Does it last 10x longer than they claim, no. But it is considerably longer than just the regular Diablo making it worth the 50% more it costs. Highly recommend cutting shingles first and then setting it deeper to cut the plywood if you’re cutting into old roofs.

Work good at beginning but go bad quickly

I used his blade on a demolition of a 24 ft X 24 ft garage roof with one layer of singles, 1/2 inch plywood board and some industrial roofing material. It was great and I only needed to use one blade.

Good choice, was able to cot through 3/4 plywood and 2x4.
