This product is pricey but when used with Proflex paver edging is about as professional looking as I have seen. Easy to install and my experience is the nylon spikes hold in sandy soil better than steel spikes. Fort Myers, FL

Thought I'd give the plastic spikes a try over the steel ones. Terrible. As soon as you hit a rock or tough material they bend or break, which makes perfect sense considering they're plastic. Steel ones are so much easier and less of a pain.

Ask any professional installer or consult any web site or YouTube video and it will say use only metal spikes to secure edging for any type of landscaping. You WANT the spikes to rust, completely counter to using this plastic one. In fact, the price and wording try to sell you on these facts when it’s not what is the beat option. Also, from a price stand point, these are vastly over priced when compared to 8” metal spikes, double or more actually depending where you live.

The spikes were solid and durable enough that I could take them out and re-insert them if I ran into something that they wouldn’t penetrate .
