Home Depot website has the DreamLine products listed as 'Direct...
Home Depot website has the DreamLine products listed as 'Direct to Stud' installation. This is not the case. I even called the manufacturer and they confirmed their products are not for 'Direct to Stud'. The walls are very flimsy and meant for a remodel. You will need dry wall or backer board behind the walls. Also, the description said the walls are 3 pieces, but the walls are 4 pieces. The back wall will have a seam.

Thank you for your feedback. The Direct to Stud reference is for the shower base. Farther down in the product description is the Acrylic wall panel information that states: Install against a solid surface, such as wonderboard or greenboard (not directly to studs). We try to provide the most accurate information about our products, but sometimes the retailers classify things differently, such as the number of pieces for the listing. Thank you for your feedback. The panels are thin by design so that they can be trimmed on site to fit your specific measurements. They are made from a heavy duty acrylic and are very sturdy once installed correctly. We are sorry that you were not happy with your purchase.

Shower walls are NOT thick enough to nail to the Stud as indicated in the product description.

Thank you for your feedback. As outlined in the installation manual, the acrylic wall panels are designed to be installed to backer board that is installed above the base. The panels are not designed to be installed to studs. The base is installed to the studs, then your backer board is installed. Once that is installed, the acrylic wall panels are adhered to the backer board. The panels are designed to be trimmed to size on site. Thank you for your feedback.

Terrible walls. News to offer those in the normal form (that come out from the walls) the walls look like they belong in trailers/mobile homes. Will never buy again and will also not recommend to anyone.

Not going to use walls
If you have a larger shower...do not use. Ours is 60 X 36. 60 is pk but 36 will never be centered on your side walls. We are going to throw away walls...already installed the base and the base is good. Sorry we bought...

Very nice shower set. Was surprised to see that wall set uses 3 aluminum strips for the back wall and corners. Not too pleased with that part of the kit. Base is excellent! Would be perfect for a tile/marble wall, we just didn’t have the time.

It got the job done. One corner of a panel was cracked but it hid under the trim. I didn't expect to have to cut down the side panels, there was 6" extra. Instructions said use a matt knife but I used a router with a guide which made quick work. I was hoping the Side panels were stiff, but it required water resistant sheet rock backing to glue to.

This was much more difficult than we expected. We hired a contractor to finish it and he struggled. If I could do over, I would put the money towards tile. You have to do all the steps you would to tile. We had to buy vinyl trim for the edges because the trim that came with it was very narrow peel and press plastic. Be aware that you have a very short time to return this so open it and make sure every thing is there right away.
