My husband and I installed the pergola on concrete blocks with 4×4 posts inside. Just had 70 mph winds yesterday and had no problem. I also sewed a removable shade. I installed closet rod brackets on the inside of the pergola. Sewed pockets for shower curtain rods, and hung it up. Love the pergola!

But, you definitely need two people, one of whom is handy, and strong... Getting it aligned and "squared" up right is one job....getting the posts dug is another. One problem is they don't give you the footing dimensions which are much smaller than the extended roof dimensions. So the overhang may be 105x105, but the "real" interior dimensions are smaller. So you don't know ahead where to dig the holes for the legs, or posts. It did take a full day to assemble..... And many swear words.... And not one extra screw SO DONE LOSE ANY!!!!!!!! That said, it is impressive once done. I am now in process of getting some stone tile flooring, and then planting some wisteria around legs along with solar lights. Hopefully I put deep enough in ground with the ground anchors to not ever have a problem, since I did not opt for cement!

I cannot say enough about how easy this product was to put together. My sister and I are both women over the age of 55, we put this together easily in about 5 hours. Even had a snack in between. It looks beautiful and I absolutely love it and the price is great for the product you receive.

This pergola went up very easily. I was able to assemble it myself in about three hours. All the holes lined up and the hardware worked as designed. You need to tape the end caps down while the glue sets, or they will fall off. The hardest part is anchoring it to the ground and keeping it square. I get compliments from everyone who sees it.

Easy assembly. I inserted 4, 4' 4×4 treated posts into the legs to strengthen it for wind since its so light. I also cut white shadecloth 20 3/8" W to wrap in between the rafters to make it cooler. Very attractive pergola. Very pleased.

This pergola looks great on my existing deck. The posts are adjustable to the length of the beam that are 100 inches long. I installed it over two afternoons without help. It only took longer because I added privacy lattice on one side. The best thing is there is no cutting or painting mess. The parts come in 3 boxes so be sure to pick up complete. It’s the best value from Home Depot under $400. I would recommend having a power screwdriver or drill since the posts don’t have predrill holes. Also be sure to measure off so that it’s squared if you install to custom dimensions. I was skeptical of vinyl but pleased that the material is thick and sturdy although they are hollow. I left the metal anchors inside the posts to provide additional reinforcement. The total weight is about 60 pounds so it can be adjusted easily but not concerned that it will fly off.

This was a great purchase! We built a tv module free standing and put our patio furniture under it. I don't recommend hanging a tv from the beams as I don't think it will support it. You need to secure the legs and bolt it to the concrete as it isn't sturdy without it. You get what you pay for as in the fact that it is vinyl and not heavy. It looks like it will hold up great in the weather. You also need a pergola cover for the top. We had two handymen assemble in 2 hours! Love it!
